I visited Inverted Gear Academy while travelling to the area. Everybody I met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The instruction was great and the gym was well maintained and clean. I had a wonderful time here and will definitely go back if I'm in the area again. 5/5, would recommend.

I can’t say enough great things about Inverted Gear Academy. We started here with our kids almost 2 years ago and then my husband started training there and then I finally began training last summer. Nelson, Hillary, and everyone at the gym have been so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive. They know how to make jiu jitsu accessible to everyone and I am so glad we found this gym!

recently moving to the bethlehem, i was in search for a place to continue training martial arts. following my first day at Inverted Gear i knew it would be the best place to continue improving. their schedule is compatible with morning or night classes. there's a positive culture in the gym that makes the curriculum easy to follow along for the beginner and still quench the thirst of the more advanced practitioners at the same time. whether you want to get fit or stay fit, all while learning valuable skills in martial arts(jiujitsu, wrestling, judo, etc); this is the place to be!

This place is great. Really wanted to get my daughter involved in a combat sport to build up her confidence, self assurance and comfortability with close proximity in a competitive environment. The expertise that Coach Nelson and his team bring to the mat can be applied to all levels of experience. Once she became more comfortable, we saw a huge shift in her performance at basketball and other activities. She gets a great workout while having fun with her peers during the week. We couldn’t be happier and excited for the future with Inverted Gear Academy!

I have been training here for nearly 2 years and both my kids (8 and 6) also do. The owners are world class BJJ athletes and the full slate of instructors are top notch. Great welcoming community!

I started at Inverted Gear Academy in August of 2023. I came there as a blue belt from another BJJ gym. Nelson and Hilary are extremely knowledgeable and so welcoming. They explain techniques in great detail and show you how to apply them in a live roll. There is strong focus on stand up and Judo at Inverted Gear which I believe is really beneficial. I really like how Nelson and Hilary travel the world training BJJ and bring back unique techniques and training methods to their academy. They also have high level grapplers come to the academy regularly. There is a great atmosphere at the academy and there are always tough rolls. I would highly recommend Inverted Gear Academy to anyone whether they are just starting out or coming with some experience.

My son and I attended a Ryan Hall seminar yesterday at Inverted Gear Academy and had a great time! The location is beautifully furnished and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The owners were extremely hospitable and it's easy for a guest to settle in and feel at home. I look forward to training there again.

Went to the women’s seminar and had such an AMAZING experience! A truly welcoming community and support from everyone, from all ranks you could see how much hard work these ladies put in! Hilary is awesome btw! She welcomed everyone individually as they walked in the door, very attentive and kind. If you’re looking for a bjj gym, new to the mats or with experience, I highly recommend this place!

The staff is incredibly welcoming and create a safe environment for everyone to learn. The instructors have a tailored lesson plan that fits well for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners of all levels. They also offer a very flexible schedule with morning and evening classes most days of the week. On top of all of that they host a wealth of other BJJ instructors to teach technique workshops. This is a great place to train no matter if you're a hobbiest or a competitor.
