James was amazing, he had everyone up at the party dancing and interacted well with the crowd. He played a great range of songs and kept the crowd going throughout the night. Very professional and will definitely be getting him again!! Everyone is still raving about him. Highly recommend!!!

We had James play at our wedding during the ceremony and canapé hour. James was not only very talented, but also very responsive and receptive to what our guests wanted. Communication was super easy from the beginning, which was a relief as we were planning the wedding from overseas. The days following the wedding, everyone who attended kept raving about how talented James was and what a great decision it was to have him play. Couldn’t recommend James enough!

What an incredible night, thank you so much to James who played at our wedding, everyone was up on the dance floor until the very end and I got so many compliments on the awesome band. James had great communication as well - which is so important when planning a wedding. Thanks again!!!

If we could put more than 5 stars we would. We booked James for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We also booked him as part of a duo for our wedding reception. He had great communication in the lead up to the wedding and was super accommodating. He is amazingly talented and the dance floor was always full from his bangers. Our guests were raving about him the next day. We would recommend him for any event whether it is a chill setting or a funny party/wedding. Thanks again James for making our wedding day special.

James van music played at a popular wedding venue in the bay of islands and they absolutely rocked the crowd! They have a great set of songs and genres available and can read the crowd to keep everyone dancing. Incredible! On top of that they were super easy to work with and had a smooth set-up as well. I can definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a band for their big day!

James was exceptional; the energy, the music, absolutely everything was on point! Exactly what we wanted for the evening. Great set up, really accommodating and pleasant to work with. All our guests commented on how great James was. He got the crowd going and I would absolutely work with him again.

James is a fantastic guy and talented guitarist and vocalist, who puts on a great show, playing a variety of classic rock and country songs. It was a pleasure listening to James live at Latitude 37 and singing along to the energy he creates.

James played our wedding and was truly amazing!! Our original band pulled out in the lead up to the big day and we were so grateful that James stepped in to rescue us from a silent reception! He played an acoustic set during the afternoon canapés which was very well received, then kicked the dance floor off with his duo partner Mitch, playing hit after hit that everyone was singing and dancing along to. Nobody wanted to leave at the end of the night! One thing I wanted to do at the reception was to sing a song to my new husband. I ran this by James and he was more than happy to back me up. I let him know the song and the key, and without any rehearsals together, we got up there and it was smooth sailing! Thanks so much for helping create such a special moment :) I really can't recommend James enough, we had the best time 💃

James was super fun to have at our work Christmas party. James was prompt, friendly, a great performer, worked in with our teams requests and created a great atmosphere!

We hired James as entertainment for a new beer launch at our Pizzeria and Freehouse in Mangawhai. We had the privilege of being serenaded by the talented duo of James and his drummer Timo. It wasn’t just their original pieces that left us in awe, but their unique, vibrant renditions of song requests thrown at them by eager guests. Each tune was reinvented, carrying their distinctive touch, which proved their remarkable adaptability and prowess. My favourite was their folk rock cover of 'get low' by lil Jon. For those who weren’t there, you missed an evening where our local bar was transformed into a haven of musical delight. James and Timo got everyone out of their seat up and dancing! We cant wait till they come back to our little town of Mangawhai! 🎸🥁🌟
