Sam did an amazing job inspecting our home. He saved us a ton of money. We were preciously quoted by a different company a $13k roof replacement, they said we had a ton of mold and our chimney was going to fall due to rotten wood. We found JD remodeling through google search and liked the reviews, so we called them. Sam can and inspected the area, my husband showed him the previous company’s quote and told us we didn’t need any of that that it was a sofit issue. His quote was under $3k, which was such a relief. We went with them, and they were able to fix the issue right away, the team was quick and professional. Since the work has been done, we’ve had no issues with our roof leaking. It turned out our sofit grates were painted over causing a blockage and once they fixed it the roof stopped leaking and the upstairs felt cooler the moisture had completely left after a couple days.
I would highly recommend this company and Sam as well who was extremely professional. I appreciate honest companies like these, which are hard to find.

I contacted this rain gutter company regarding an issue with my drainage system. Unfortunately, I was informed that they do not repair or fix the underground PVC drainage system.
I was disappointed because my concern was related to the complete drainage solution, and I hoped they could provide assistance or guidance on how to resolve the issue. The communication was clear, but the service did not meet my expectations because the problem remains unresolved.

To be upfront about why: our work covers gutter installation, repair, and above-ground downspout drainage. Underground PVC drain lines require excavation equipment and expertise we don't carry, and we'd rather tell a homeowner that honestly than take on a job we can't do right. Matt came to our home in Halethorpe which is just south of Baltimore. He provided an excellent overview of the product and the process. He measured the window and gave an estimate. Very accommodating and understands our need to improve the home heating and cooling efficiency. In addition our home is close to Interstate 95 and is noisy. Matt provided the best solution to reduce the noise inside our house. The installation was accomplished in one day, the cleanup better than the team found it and the installation crew were very professional and skilled. I’m Very pleased with the project.

I hired JDH Remodeling to replace the roof over my garage and repair portions of my main roof by replacing several vents and damaged shingles. Before work began, I requested that an additional roof vent be installed. JDH agreed to complete the extra work at no charge if I left them a five-star review. At the time, I had every intention of doing so because I expected the project to go smoothly. Unfortunately, the issues that followed made that impossible.
To be fair, the workmanship on the garage roof itself appears to be solid. However, they installed the wrong color shingles. There was never any discussion about confirming or matching the existing roof color before installation, despite me requesting a specific color. The finished product does not match what I asked for.
The more significant issue was the complete lack of communication. Not all of the agreed-upon roof vents were installed on the day of the project. While I understood that a return visit might be necessary, weeks passed with little to no communication about when the remaining work would be completed.
Then things became even more concerning. While I was out of town, JDH sent contractors to my home without notifying me or obtaining my permission. I captured the entire visit on my security cameras. They entered my property, climbed onto my roof, and accessed my fenced backyard without authorization. I was never informed they would be coming, nor did I give anyone permission to enter my property in my absence. After all of that, they left without completing the outstanding work. The only indication they had been there was several roofing nails left scattered in my driveway.
Eventually, the remaining work was completed. I ultimately decided against having the garage roof torn off and replaced with the correct color because I didn’t want unnecessary additional nail penetrations in the roof decking after a brand-new installation. While I appreciate that the work was eventually finished, that does not excuse the poor communication, failure to coordinate with the homeowner, or unauthorized access to my property. The wrong shingles were installed, the project required multiple follow-ups to complete, and I was left questioning whether anyone was managing the job
Jeremy, I'm not going to argue with any of this. You're right on the points that matter.
The shingle color should have been confirmed with you in writing before a single bundle went on that garage. The vents should have been finished in one trip, not stretched out over weeks while you chased us for an update. And no crew of ours should be on your property, let alone in a fenced backyard, without you knowing they're coming. That isn't a scheduling miss. It's a standard we failed to hold, and I've addressed it directly with the team. The nails left in your driveway are the smallest item on this list, but they shouldn't have been there either.
You shouldn't have had to manage this job for us. I'd like to make it right beyond just having eventually finished the work. Please call our office at (443) 241-7356 and ask for me by name. I'll take it from there.

Perfect services!!! I highly recommend giving them a call and scheduling a roofing inspection by Tom, especially if you're in Hanover (Anne Arundel County). He did a really great job at identifying the issue, causes & problem areas, then describing the details on every option for installing new shingles. The following day all the supplies were brought over and they began working the next day. They did such a phenomenal job my neighbors were wondering if they could get their roofs looked at. I'm so happy with the service and installation! My third floor temp was 30° higher than what it should be, now it matches the thermostat temperature - NO MORE OVERHEATING, I love it! The price is super low compared to other local roofers but the quality is superb.
