I came in for an appointment and told them I have already done the test and don't want to do the skin test again.. asked me to sign release form from UCSF, turns out that's the wrong form, came back to ask me to sign another form and then ghosted me for several months. Called in to ask whether they got the test result, was told that I need to call UCSF, got connected to someone else and turns out they got my test result a long time ago, they just mis-labeled it. Seems like a very irresponsible clinic to me.

It's a shame that such a big company doesn't know how to do their job. They made me come when I was a rookie to do an inspection on how to use my sleeping machine and it turns out that they don't know how. I think they should train their workers more since it is a necessity for those who suffer from the problem of sleeping with this machine and these people don't know how to do their job.

The people here are nice but useless. The phone line is almost impossible to reach a representative through, and they only follow up on voicemails about 25% of the time. The endocrinologist I was seeing refused to prescribe the weekly medication I had been taking, and instead insisted on putting me on either daily supplements or biweekly injections. Most pharmacies would not supply me with the daily supplements, however it would take weeks to go through the process of trying different versions because she would not respond to the pharmacy at all, and any representatives reached on their phone line would often give blatantly false information. I demanded to switch practices after the worst of my experience- after finally switching to the biweekly injections, I received notice from my pharmacy that the endocrinologist hadn't included the correct prior authorization and they hadn't been able to talk to her. I reached out to the phone line and was told there was just a delay in the system, and that it would be processed soon. I call back a week later after having heard no updates and NOW they tell me that actually, my insurance denied the medication and that I'd have to call them to figure out what's going on. I speak to my insurance and find out that she filled out the diagnostic criteria incorrectly, and was told to reach back out to her. The next day I call the phone line again and I'm told that the endocrinologist knew about the incorrect code and resubmitted it the week prior, BEFORE my first call to Jiva health about this prescription. I asked the person over the phone why they didn't just tell me that in one of the last two calls I had with them and they couldn't give me an answer. I then reach back out to the pharmacy, where they verify the corrected insurance approval, but they tell me they also can't get this version of the medication in stock. The pharmacist explains that the prescription specifically asked for a brand she had never heard of and would likely be impossible to find outside of a hospital, but can easily get me a more generic version. I go in to pick it up and speak to the same woman in person, and she not only expresses confusion at why the endocrinologist prescribed the alternate version in the first place but also hands me the exact same medication I had been taking weekly before coming to Jiva Health. You know, the one the endocrinologist claimed she was incapable of prescribing me. I cancelled my follow up appointments with her the same day. TLDR: This place is a mess. Avoid like the plague.

Really wanted to like this clinic as it came highly recommended, but I found this to be the worst endocrinologist I’ve ever seen. Dr Bhat is cold and quick and brushed off any concerns and questions I had without fully answering, and their office continues to send me bills for different amounts even though I’ve already paid through the portal. The office staff will never follow up to schedule your next appointment, but they will hound you via calls and texts if you don’t pay your $30 co-pay BEFORE you see the doctor. Lastly, they are SUPER pushy about you seeing the Physician’s Assistant rather than an actual doctor. Like hello, I thought I was paying all this money to actually be seen by an MD?? Absolutely ridiculous, this place is a scam and just looking to take your money, go elsewhere.

BEWARE. This office is a FRAUD. I was charged over $900 for services that were NEVER provided. I had a 10 minute consult (very uninformative and useless visit) with the podiatrist Sean Michael Dougherty who then claimed he completed debridement and multiple other procedures. This podiatrist should not be licensed to work. He is a crook.

I totally agree with the post regarding Dr. Michael Cohen in the Walnut Creek office. The administration is horrible and unprofessional you will never get a call back and they rarely answer the phone. This office should be should be closed down. I have been having a hard time getting fitted properly for the face mask. There is absolutely no follow up. There has to be another place to go.

I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews that say that this office has the absolute worst customer service ever! The doctors seem competent. But, the organization, administration, sleep study process, and and access to equipment is abysmal.

Dank and noisy, this facility is worth avoiding. Follow up care is horrible. They never answer the phone, nor do they call back. Haven't been able to get them to send the sleep study, or the doc's before and aft notes to my DME so I can get the new equipment - it's been over a month since the test. Inexcusable patient protocol. Perhaps Dr. Macdannald was better before his practice was bought out by Jiva. Sorry I did my study with him at this facility. There's got to be better ones out there.

Very slow in responding to patients needs. I ordered a new cpap mask over a month ago, but up to now it is still being processed by another department per the provider. No accountability… just finger-pointing.

This is by far the worst office staff at a Doctor's office I have ever dealt with. My test results took 2 months to process and return. The doctor ordered a sleeping device, and I have called for status no fewer than 10 times with urgency. I have yet to receive any call back for the order status. My insurances verified that no orders or authorization requests have been placed by this group. I had to call my primary provider to help intervene. Don't trust your health to this group!

Watch out for Dr. Cohen. He is essentially a referral machine with little to no care about his patients. He told me to go to a dentist to be fitted for a device. He described the specific device and we discussed it. When I followed up with him later about a question I was told that he just referred me out and hadn't prescribed anything. That may even be technically accurate within the legal definition. But it is an extremely low standard of care. My follow up question wasn't particularly difficult or complex either. It was simply "was the device you recommended FDA approved?" I asked because an article came out from the FDA. I was able to get confirmation from the dentist, but Dr. Cohen not only didn't know, but proactively didn't care, and made no effort to find out. Perhaps, at one time he was a decent doctor. He didn't seem stupid. But he clearly is further down the path to retirement than he should be while still treating patients. I am contacting the state medical board. If you see this review posted on their concord office, that was a mistake on my part. I have deleted it there and posted it for their walnut creek office where Dr. Cohen works.

Haven’t even made it here yet today and already don’t want to go. The receptionist who called rushed through the phone interview told me she would text me the address. Never did. She had the wrong email and if I didn’t FORCE her to double check it before getting off the phone she would still have the wrong email on file and be sending my sons private medical information over to someone else. She needs to take a breathe and answer peoples questions and maybe send the text with the information before getting off the phone so that clients don’t have to look it up themselves.

Rude receptionists!! My wife visited this place this week and a receptionist claimed that her insurance is expired (So my wife called the insurance company while she’s there, and they told her it’s still valid). Nonetheless, my wife agreed to pay in cash but asked for an invoice so she can send it to the insurance company and the receptionist refused! When my wife insisted on either getting an invoice or accepting her insurance, the receptionist said to the doctor that my wife refused to pay!! Not to mention how they ignore my wife when she was trying to talk to one of the receptionists! Persistent lying and disrespect! As a matter of business, remember that Bay Area is full of excellent doctors. And as a matter of civility, you must show respect to people who are different from you (e.g., non-American wearing hijab). My wife cried in the car because of your attitude. SHAME ON YOU!!

Unfortunately I don’t agree much with the reviews. The office staff has screwed up my thyroid prescription several times, creating chaos. The practice keeps losing the RN, which have been amazing! My interaction a few times w the Dr have been just fine, cold and rushed. The experience with the RN have been much, much more pleasant. I’ll be leaving this practice due to the challenges to schedule appointments with the DR. I had the inconvenience to have to cancel 4 times in a row, due to work schedules, but always with plenty of notice (more than 48 hr) and now they will charge me if I need to cancel again. I requested them to not book the appointment once that was explained to me. They booked it anyway and threshed got bill my insurance if I cancel. No I will not continue at a practice like this. The reason of my cancellations is due to my work sch, I’m a frontline essential worker. So there you have it. Update- dr responded to my email. She explained the error on her staff part and agreed to cancel my appointment.
