Joe's has the best sandwiches in town! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. On another note, he has a fabulous selection on local meats. The "Joe's Premium Grind" is hands down the best burger meat i've ever had. They also have unreal hot dogs made in-house. Love this place.

Appreciate the review. Superior to grocery products means higher prices for quality for sure. Our pork and chicken are not an issue but high quality sustainable beef costs are up there. Typically post Labor Day we see relief. But difficult to predict (go online and type in “beef cattle supply” you’ll be shocked) this year with supply so very low. Thanks for your business! Fantastic lunch at Joe's. We were waited on by Eric. Even though they were short staffed he was so upbeat and made what is always a great lunch an over the top experience! All the sandwiches are great, especially the hot ones! Debris Po’ Boy was the choice today for my lunch date and myself. We absolutely loved it! If you've not been, it's a must visit in Carmel!

Good cuts of meat. Enjoyed the NY Strip. Very friendly staff. Only minor suggestion would be for them to carry some A5 Wagyu. In Carmel, there are quite a few folks that could afford that without issue, but they don’t carry it at all (except some ground beef wagyu which is weird).

Thanks for the nice review. The 550 Ground Wagyu we carry is raised in Lafayette, IN and it's F1 Wagyu and therefore 50/50 Wagyu/Angus (Wangus). Thus its much more affordable than A5 (just $10lb). A5 (A, B, or C carcass yield, and 1-5 quality) is the highest graded 100% Wagyu imported from Japan outside the Kobe province ( you will see other province names or "snow beef" as example for Okanowa). It comes in various marbling scores call BMS, with the items you see on intragram etc generally BMS 10+ (7-12 point scale). We can get it on a weeks notice but its very expensive ($130lb our cost for whole strips/ribeye loins that weigh from 17 to 28lbs, they yield about 80% steak cuts, that ends up placing our cost $150 to $170lb that then runs $200b to the consumer at low gross margins). We then have to take the risk of buying the whole loin and selling only a few steaks or selling it all frozen. True A5 should always be sold consultively with the customer , as example Ribeye loins in A5 are very wide as such a 14 oz steak may only be 1/4 inch thick, instead you want larger steaks to cut and share. Yes, there are people who can afford to buy a whole loin at $2000 but they don't walk in wanting A5 on demand. The good news is we are starting a new text group that notifies prospective A5 customers when and what we have the opportunity to buy, with hopes of building enough interest to then purchase for all. Look for a keyword and the ablity to join the list in the next week that we will share in our weekly email and on social media. Hope this explains things a bit! There are some domestic breeders that grow F2, F3, and F4 Wagyu but those require multiple breed backs and take years to establish so they are few and far between. In IN Joseph Decuis is rare in that they have Japenese govt. certified 100% Wagyu cattle and raise it in Roanoke, IN. Its awesome and rivals A5 but they have their own restaurant they supply and don't produce much outside of that. We do carry in store every day, beef sticks, peperoni, etc made from these cattle. Its fantastic and though not near the same eating experience as a steak, is full fat flavored and simply tasty! Joe - owner
