John and his team did an excellent job on our porch. They did quality work at a great price and on time. They are great to work with and easy to communicate with.

We called John back for another project. This time it was to build us a new front porch, which anyone driving 1A north of the clambox can admire. It came out great. We love the openness, the sturdiness, the use of quality materials. John‘s team was great to work with. They communicated well and listened to our ideas. The project was on budget and on time. We will continue to work with John and his team. John and his team remodeled our ancient bathroom. It's beautiful with new tile walk in shower. Lots of infrastructure work went into the project because of the age of the house. Well worth it.

We had a wonderful experience working with John on our screen porch and deck project. From start to finish, John was professional, approachable, and made the entire process seamless. John was very organized and excellent at planning his team’s time to minimize the time spent on the job. He and his crew pay attention to details and make sure everything is as perfect as possible. Everyone was professional and reliable through the whole job. We did a full kitchen remodel and could not be happier with the result! If I had to do another renovation I would choose him without question.

JTA renovated my main floor bathroom and my kitchen. Outstanding service from his crew. John is an excellent communicator and worked with us through the entire process to explain the requirements of the project. He also had many suggestions that allowed us to see the finished product prior to the work. I am very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend JTA.

John and his team were great to work with, they are customer oriented. They remodeled our fire place and book shelving. They did excellent work. We are very happy with the result and would highly recommend John and his team.

Our deck had rotted in a lot of areas, and we needed to get it replaced. John advised us that Building Codes had changed, but he could upgrade the existing support structure to comply and still give us a new deck. He talked us through every step of the process, came up with a couple of design changes and delivered on-time and on budget a beautiful and inviting outdoor entertainment and relaxation area. The photos show the transformation of the deck space, but at the same time the underpinnings were all upgraded and brought to code. The workmanship is amazing, as every piece was meticulously fitted, and the deck was flawlessly executed. It is 5 Stars in all aspects.

John and his team recently completed a bathroom remodel for us, and we couldn’t be happier! From start to finish, John was incredibly communicative, helpful with decision-making, and clear in explaining the process and laying out the timeline. His team was wonderful, and I can honestly say we missed them a bit once the job was done (especially by our 13-year-old dog, who took a real liking to them!). We love the new bathroom; the workmanship is wonderful, and John was able to help us make smart financial decisions when it came to material selections. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.

We had John and team remodel our master bathroom - including moving walls around to create more space and 2 new closets. They did an amazing job! John was very responsive - would work closely with us to understand our vision and make it happen. The work was meticulous, shout out to Brian - his main carpenter for his attention to detail and getting it right! John's trade partners - electrician, plumber and tile guys were also very good. I highly recommend this team!

John helped us remodel two of our bathrooms. His crew was skilled - the tile work came out even better than what I had originally envisioned. As an added bonus, John is a really nice guy who is easy to work with and helped us solve the inevitable snafus of any home improvement job. I’d absolutely recommend him!

We asked John to build a new half bath in our single storey bungalow in Ipswich...we haven't used a builder before and we chose John mainly because he was local. It was clear from our first meeting that we would get along as John was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable and with a good sense of humor... Although a small project, we received excellent attention and his subcontractors were very good...construction and subcontract work was done when promised, in a timely and professional way...All potential problems were identified before work started and work proceeded without any problem. John and his team did a great job!

We would absolutely recommend John Ambrose. Him and his team recently did a complete kitchen and mudroom remodel for us and we couldn't be happier. He had full transparency with the time the projects would take to complete, what materials would cost, and great communication with us the entire time. John exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We enjoyed working with him so much that my husband and I keep thinking of new projects we can have him do for us to help us complete our dream home!

John was perfection in a contractor. My wife and I bought a home in Ipswich, part of which dates back to 1671. The home was extensively remodeled and enlarged in 2014 but we wanted to give it our own touch. I worked with John on remodeling virtually every room. We worked collaboratively, on small and large changes, including the extensive rework of two bathrooms, the creation of a home office, and the reimagining of the master suite. No detail was too small for John. For instance, he personally moved, refashioned and installed a door off the front hallway made of 17th century boards and nails that we collected from the attic to increase warmth in the room and make it more aesthetically pleasing. John was incredibly responsive, often going out of his way to take special trips to various suppliers and restoration houses with me to help in the design process. John had an excellent and kind crew and answered every question and responded to every request I made, however strange or demanding. John handpicked the various trades that we needed (electricians, floor installers, tile suppliers and appliers, plumbers, painters, countertop suppliers), and they were all top notch and reasonable in price. John's fees were reasonable, he kept to a schedule (despite the fact that he was suffering from severe hip and knee issues at the time), and I was never "surprised" in a bad way. I am back using John again for a new project.

I contracted withJohn's company to install and repair existing siding on my house. They have been a pleasure to work with. He priced the job reasonably, was timely and has been doing a great job. His crew is experienced and knowledgeable. I am happy to recommend him and would hire him again.
