Solar Mosaic is unethical and a Dream for All Killer. Dream for All Killer. Denied a solar lease for a first time "generational" home buying customer that has a CALHFA DREAM for ALL loan approved. Their last derogatory was 3 years ago! This company will deny people for assuming your solar lease. DO NOT use them for financing. People qualify for a new home loan but a solar company denies a lease transfer. What a joke. Disgusting company.

Fraudulent loan company This loan company is a complete fraudulent company. They work with the installers and are deceptive in their loans. I've been paying interest only for a year - which I've now been told has accrued interest!!! Neither Mosaic or the installer stand behind the service. It's been nothing but a headache-- clear fraud and financial deception. I would give them a 0/10. A massive waste of money. They are thieves. DO NOT USE THEM.

Find another company This company is terrible. They dinged me with a fee after switching checking accounts and having a rejected payment. I paid the balance in full on time and they still charged the fee. I called and asked for a courtesy to waive the fee, and they said they would request it, but denied it because I already "paid" the fee, even though the payment was for the loan balance. There is no recourse or help because they "can't do anything about it." That's a sorry excuse for a company. There is always something that can be done, but if you're not going to have good customer service, then that's going to be your company's reputation.

Don't do it! Terrible internal processes. Sat on payoff for weeks, then hit with interest after the payoff and them sitting on the check. Holding up a payoff letter and delaying a HELOC. Watch out!

Don’t do it You can’t pay your monthly payment with a debit card. If you try to pay ahead it won’t count towards your monthly payment. You can only pay with auto draft and it takes 1-4 days for it to come out. There’s absolutely no way out of this 20 year contract. Better to pay the full amount up front. Just paid up on my account and they are showing a new past due balance. How??? If you are close to 60 days past due they’ll leave notes on your door

Mosaic is holding my house Hostage I cant even rate them. I will try to be short.. alot of the reviews are very accurate.. poor customer service.. I had 2 people hang up on me and claim internet connection.. One lady told me that she was in the carribean. So the customer service is outsourced to island folks and they set them up to talk to us because they KNOW they stealing from people. I have an approved loan for refinance. The bank has even said Mosaic won't answer them. They have put a lien on my house for the panels. I AM NOT DELINQUENT... AND I AM NOT SELLING MY HOUSE... Mosaic won't do a lien release unless I pay the panels off completely.. so basically I can do anything to MY house unless I give them $64K.. The basically holding a gun to my head saying YOU GONNA GIVE US THE MONEY!! #1 I didn't know it was lien on my house until now.. so I was told it was in my contract but my contract was through Freedom Forever. Then I was told that the temporary lien release policy was changed in fall of 2023.. Well, I didn't sign that contract or get that policy update and for the record my panels are almost 3 years old.. So, IF it was in my original contract that contract had lien release clause...I had my panels before the policy change that I didn't sign nor did they send me any policy change info. Also, why is their a lien release prompt on the automated system if they won't release anyone's property... I need legal help... if anyone has gotten help or filed a suit please let me know because this is ridiculous..

Scammers is the only way to describe Mosaic Absolutely horrible company. Stay away if you want to actually receive what you're paying for. It's been 3 years and I still don't have an operational solar installation on my home. But I didn't get any response until I stopped paying them, which is when they started threatening me and confirmed they were lying about my system working. I'm still navigating this mess with my utility company all on my own, with no help, and still don't have Permission to Operate, but according to Mosaic I do and they harass me at my home leaving letters and call me daily now. Avoid this company like the plague.

DO NOT USE MOSAIC Terrible customer service. Could not have been less helpful in working out a loan issue with a solar installation that wasn't functional. "elevated" me several times to supervisors, who just have me send in paperwork, don't respond, and require me to call back and start over. I feel taken advantage of a customer. DO NOT USE MOSAIC

Stay Away at All Costs Earlier this year, I purchased a home that had solar panels financed by Mosaic. In Feb of 2024, I was approved to assume the loan from the seller and signed everything I needed to. The seller never signed their part, so Mosaic cancelled the loan assumption. I was not made aware that Mosaic was having difficulties getting a hold of the seller nor was I told that anything else needed to happen in order for me to assume the loan. Since the loan was still in the seller’s name, it became delinquent. I finally got a hold of the seller and told them to contact Mosaic. The seller brought the loan current and told me Mosaic would be calling me to start the process over again. They never called me. I called them last week, and they told me I have to apply again resulting in another hard hit on my credit. I applied and this time I was denied because of delinquent payments. They use equifax and experien. I verified with both bureaus that I do not have any delinquent payments on my credit report. I called their underwriting office and tried to offer to send my official credit reports so they can see that I do not have any delinquent payments. I think they are counting the seller’s delinquent payment(s) against me that occurred during the loan assumption process. This is unfair as the loan was never in my name. I’ve called several times and requested to speak to a manager twice. I also emailed both of their email addresses twice. I have not gotten any response. When I brought my concern to them last week, they talked in circles, blamed the seller, and then told me to reapply in 30 days (which another hit on my credit). I don’t have any delinquent payments on my credit report, so I am not sure what they are expecting to change in 30 days. I was also told that they were doing soft hits but they are not. So far, I have not been able to assume the loan for the solar panels that are on my house. They refuse to remove the panels or remove the lien even though they are not in my name. I am not sure what else to do anymore besides leave as many reviews as I can.

FRAUD This company states they will not fund your loan until you sign a proof of completion confirming the installers completed the work; however, they fund the loan as soon as you sign and hang over the money to the installer who will likely not complete your project and will take off with your money leaving you to pay back tens of thousands of dollars for work you did not receive. There is a high likelihood that they are scheming with the installation companys to steal money from potential clients. Under no circumstance should you sign any contract with this company as it can potentially ruin your life.

Scammers of the worst kind for solar The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The solar was not installed or completed and they are wanting payment for unfinished work. They say contract wording says 90 days after project award reguardless if project is finished. I refused to pay and asking for help in any direction I can. My credit was super before this started. I have told them to come and remove the solar and forget the whole thing. They are pushing a collection agency and demanding full payment. Again, I ask for what? never received what was ordered. I highly recommend anyone wanting SOLAR, stay away from RU Solar, and Mosaic.

If you're on the fence...go the other way Easy to get in, impossible to get out!!! I was okay with signing up for a loan after reading the loan transfer/assumption portion of the contract. When it came time to sell the buyers were denied due to credit history. The customer service reps stated "We don't rely on credit score, we do a full credit history check." My main issue is that my home is being sold for over 500K to well qualified buyers that were easily approved for a home loan so how are they being denied so this trivial loan. Transparency is key, what they do not tell you in the paperwork is that the transfer credit requirements are more stringent than the initial application which is simply a soft credit pull that also allows you to use a cosigner. For loan assumptions the loan is only allowed to be taken out by an individual applicant. When I called about the issue they were not able to provide any assistance only stating that I would have to pay off the loan in order to remove the lien on the panels with the disclaimer that they do not have a lien on the house but only the panels which are personal property. The customer reps were scripted and kept repeating the same policy that is clearly a way to trap customers from selling their property in the way that was advertised. It seems like simple math to me, transfer the loan and allow the lien to remain with the new buyers...Here I am about to move my family to a new the country in a couple of weeks and stuck trying to figure out how to sell our home despite this insane lending trap.

Fraud, Liars, Thieves Like the other reviews, they have charged me $20k for an install I never had. They kept telling me the installer denied the cancellation and going ahead with the install. I have called Mosaic for a month every few days, I keep getting the run around. Then I speak with a supervisor she tells me to send an email with the pictures, I do that and the email keeps bouncing back. They are complete frauds. See pictures,

Sacm between mosaic and viridi construction If you’ve had issues with Viridi Construction and Mosaic Lending, read on. Mosaic, linked with Viridi for home improvement projects, relies solely on customer confirmation for project completion on their portal, as per our contract. I discovered Viridi falsely claimed to have finished my ADU plans, including city approval, which I found untrue upon checking with the city myself. Unfortunately, I had already confirmed completion on Mosaic’s portal, triggering fund release to Viridi. Attempts to address this with Mosaic were futile as they insisted the funds were for a solar panel project, not my ADU, suggesting possible fraud. It was only after filing a complaint with the DFPI that my loan was successfully canceled. I urge anyone in a similar situation to take the same action promptly.
