As a first time homebuyer, I made an offer on a home I felt was a good fit for my budget, and then looked for an experienced home inspector to make an impartial assessment of my choice. I found Greg on the HIABC website, and I am glad I did! His detailed inspection utilized his extensive of experience in construction and renovation and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed choice. His review was thorough, informative, constructive and above all- honest and practical. When he assessed that the issue needed further investigation, he detailed why and the type of expertise that he recommended together with solutions. His extensive report included prioritizing between major concerns and more minor issues. Together with an in-person review on-site showing me his top priority findings, making it all easy for me to understand and providing me with a basic action plan, with suggested timelines for next steps. I couldn't possibly recommend Greg enough to complete your next home inspection. What I really liked about him (aside from his exceptional talent as an inspector and extremely personable and professional attitude) was that he made it abundantly clear up front that he works for you. Not your realtor, or the seller's realtor. You. He holds your best interests paramount in everything that he reports. What that means is you get the truth about the property that's being inspected, unbiased and unfiltered. Equally importantly, that honest opinion is backed by decades of experience in the construction and home inspection industry, so you can trust that everything that can be found, will be found. His reports are exceptionally thorough and well crafted, particularly in comparison to some other examples that I've seen from other inspectors. Greg was a little bit pricier than other inspectors in the area but the expertise and commitment that this small increase affords you is second to none. We had our home inspection completed months ago and still Greg is more than happy to take my calls as often as needed to answer questions as we start to work through some of the issues with the property, at no extra charge. What you get from Greg isn't just a home inspection report, you get his continued attention and advice about any questions or concerns that you have about your home. Assured Inspections was recommended to my wife and I before we purchased our home in Nelson, and boy did we luck out. Greg spent all day in the house of our dreams with an unforgiving flashlight, from the crawl space to the roof, and the footprint around it. His report was exhaustive and thoroughly organized, and he reviewed it with us in detail. When he was done, we knew exactly what we were up against. We can’t thank him enough. My husband and I hired Greg of Assured Home Inspections Ltd. to inspect our prospective first home. I had a great experience hiring Greg for a pre purchase property inspection. He was quick to return my call and slot me in to his schedule. Greg was amazing to work with! He went above and beyond what we were expecting. The detailed explanation he provided at the end of his inspection was very informative, but the best part was the electronic report that followed. It clearly stated the good, the bad and the ugly and provided so much detail on each point that anyone would know what they were up against. You can really tell Greg loves and takes pride in what he does. He was very detailed orientated throughout the inspection and we really appreciated the thorough walk thru & review he did with us.
