Ladycross Plantation Caravan Park Reviews

Well maintained, well run, convenient for Whitby as well as North Yorks Moors and other coastal tourist centres.

The majority of the park is taken with seasonal pitches, which in September 2024 seemed ghostly, with what appeared to be only 10 % occupied. It is set in a forest but very few trees over hung the pitches. Being a tree hugger, I loved it. It is set within easy access to Whitby and far enough away from noise of traffic. Toilet and shower were clean and quite modern. Barrier gates with key fob.

Lovely and peaceful, pitches nicely laid out, plenty of space, nice woodland walks. Toilet blocks both spotless. Will be booking again thanks.

Wonderful well kept site. We are a little biased because we used to be wardens here. Still a fantastic place to be. We had a fully serviced pitch. Quiet and peaceful. New addition is extra land for dog walkers. Would always return.

Our second stay at this site. Despite the weather we had another lovely week. Beautiful location with lovely woodland walks. Spotless showers, and grounds are very well maintained. It really is so peaceful, we will definitely be returning soon

What a fantastic site, everywhere spotless, pitch and all facilities. Lovely and quiet and beautiful surroundings. Cannot fault this caravan site.

First impression, amazing 🤔

This place is a true hidden gem and the lodges are amazing. We stayed in one at the back called Shunner Howe. Unfortunately for us the kitchen and master bathroom were in a disgusting state. I will attach pictures but to sum it up there were cups and glasses in the kitchen full of old wine, cups (more than one) full of mouldy hot chocolate, dirty knives, food on the wall and hairs in drawers. The worst part was the poo stains down the front of the master bedroom toilet. I have contacted host and stay about this matter and they were not willing to offer anything in any way of compensation. My wife has cleaned out the cutlery draw and glasses due to us needing to use them. A cleaner was offered but declined. We did not wish for a cleaner in the property during our relaxing break. The grounds on the other hand are immaculate and well kept. The maintenance staff were incredibly helpful.

Used as a base for Whitby Autumn Goth weekend. Lovely woodland site, friendly, helpful staff. All pitches hard standing, easy access to all utilities. Best thunderbox emptying points I've ever used, spotless too No pictures of any of the site as we had biblical rain all weekend. Site stands up to awful weather though! Will go back to explore lovely part of the world. Close to heritage railway too.

Great lodge. Very well appointed. Quiet site. But very close to Whitby, NY railway etc.

Great nature walk

Stunning campsite in absolutely fantastic condition! So peaceful! Seriously this is one of the best sites we've stayed at. First class facilities, spotlessly clean. Fantastic walks around the site and friendly staff. We will be back! Thank you so much!

Very well presented and maintained touring caravan park, located around 5 miles from Whitby and it's attractions.
