We had an absolutely wonderful experience. We celebrated my mother's 86th birthday and were pampered with superb service and incredible food. Everyone in the restaurant is warm, friendly and experts in food, wine and service. Thank you all for a lovely time.

Came by myself one day for lunch. Was surprised to see it so empty. I thought oh maybe it's one of those places that were over-hyped and now people have wised up and arent' coming in droves anymore - nope! Food is damn good lives up to the reviews and that classic heavenly settting and service is a dying breed here in NYC where everyone wants to be cool, edge-y and modern.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time! The services was impeccable, all the staff were friendly and courteous. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but unfortunately we were not really able to enjoy the ambiance because we were tucked in the back facing the open kitchen. The food itself was very flavorful and true to French cuisine: rich and indulging. Yum! Overall, it was a great diner but we paid $400+ for 2 people and I personally think that was too expensive for what we got.

Food Sorcery! Every course was simply spectacular. The staff couldn't have possibly been better. Quite simply they made my wife and I like guests of honor. The atmosphere is the finishing touch and compliments the caliber of food and service. Bravo Le Coucou you definitely made a huge impression. Thank you for a wonderful memorable experience.

Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Le Coucou. THIS IS A VERY ROMANTIC SPOT WAY DOWNTOWN. GREAT ROOM, GREAT STAFF AND GREAT FOOD. BE SURE TO SAY HELLO TO JASON THE BARTENDER. HE IS FROM DAYTONA BEACH, HE IS FUNNY AND HE IS A GREAT BARTENDER. FOOD IS FANTASTIC AND SO IS THE SERVICE. A LOT OF THE MENU IS IN FRENCH BUT EASY TO READ (SOMETIMES NOT EASY TO UNDERSTAND) TRANSLATIONS. BEFORE DINNER THEY GIVE YOU WANT MARIA SAID IS "THE BEST DAMN FOOD DISH I HAVE EVER HAD". I THOUGHT IT WAS FRENCH FRIES BUT IT IS ACTUALLY MADE OUT OF CHIC PEAS. i SH$T YOU NOT. REALLY GOOD. WE HAD THE CHEESE DESSERT PLATE FOR AN APP. WE LET THE SERVER PICK AND SHE GOT US ONE SOFT CHEESE AND ONE BLUE CHEESE. BOTH WERE GREAT AND SERVED WITH HONEY IN THE COMB WHICH WE LOVE WITH OUT CHEESE. NEXT COURSE WE HAD THE FRIED MONKFISH WITH CUMIN. VERY DELICATE AND VERY GOOD. NEXT COURSE WE HAD QUENELLE DE BROCHET (PIKE FISH DUMPLING AND LOBSTER SAUCE). THIS IS VERY GOOD EGG LIKE DISH SERVED WITH A STUNNNG SAUCE. NEXT SHE HAD THE LOBSTER WITH POIVRE (YES I KNOW THAT IS A SAUCE NORMALLY SERVED ON STEAK) AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I HAD SOME AND THE LOBSTER WAS AS SWEET AS SUGAR CANDY AND THE SAUCE WAS A PERFECT FOIL TO THE LOBSTER. MAGNFIQUE (LOOK HOW FRENCH I AM NOW!!!). I HAD THE WHOLE RABBIT. WHEN I ORDERED IT SHE MADE A FACE AND AFTER SOME ITALIAN STYLE NEGOIATION I WAS ALLOWED TO ORDER IT. WOW WAS IT GOOD. FIRST TIME FOR RABBIT FOR ME BUT NOT THE LAST. THE LIVERS WERE SERVED IN A SAUSAGE ON ONE PLATE. THE BREASTS MEAT SERVED ON ANOTHER PLATE WITH CREAM AND SUPER LIGHT ONIONS. THE LEGS AND THIGHS SERVED IN A POT WITH BROTH AND VEGETABLES. REALLY GOOD. WE HAD 3 DESSERTS BUT WE WERE TOO FULL TO ENJOY THEM. VERY GOOD BUT WE HAD HAD TOO MUCH FOOD. COFFEE AMERICANA IS WONDERFUL HERE AS IN ALL FRENCH OR ITIALIAN RESTURANTS. STRONG BUT NOT OVERWHELMING. BE SURE TO GET A RESERVATION HERE. FINALLY WE WANT TO THANK DANIEL DIRTH, THE SERVICE DIRECTOR HERE. HE STOPPED BY THE TABLE AND WE HAD A 30 MINUTE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE FOOD SCENE IN NYC. HE GAVE US A LOT OF SUGGESTIONS OF PLACES TO TRY SO WE NOW HAVE A HUGE LIST TO WORK ON LATER THIS MONTH. Went tonight for a special dinner and was disappointed. We were familiar with the chef, having gone to his restaurant Spring in Paris 10 years ago. The waitress was overly saccharin and called my 80 Year old mother sweetie.. The food was delicious but the plates had no balance.. and was heavy. Wish it was a better overall experience..

Very elegant and beautifully appointed restaurant. The hostess is lovely. She accommodated the change of tables since we didn't like the first option. Corwin, restaurant's service director, offered complimentary glass of high-end champagne to start off the experience. Food was amazing, service was excellent. Open kitchen, but not even a hint of smell. Not cheap but definitely worth coming back again.

The front desk manager lady (wish I asked for her name) was so accommodating! We were quite late for our reservation but she managed to still sit us to save my bf’s birthday dinner!
