No where was I told that you had to wear the pennet outside your clothes for the fall feature to work ...this is the reason I brought a life alarm

I have had my LiveLife alarm for about 4 years. I feel very safe knowing that if I have a fall, or feel unwell at all, help is just a push button away. I wear it in the shower and keep mine on me at all times, other than when the unit is in its charger, beside my bed when sleeping. I am happy to recommend LiveLife to anyone, especially anyone living alone.
Thanks Judith. I’ll make sure the team here are informed about your kind words. Regards Phil

Purchased a LiveLife alarm for my elderly mother. Very easy to use, so mum knows how to use it. It gives her and myself peace of mind.
LiveLife Alarms make the whole process of purchase through to delivery, set up procedure very easy. The alarm works well very well with very good reception. I will always use LiveLife Alarms and recommend them and the alarms.

IMPROVED REVIEW

They now have a 24 hour monitor centre, where if I fall, they now have all the information to get me help, as I have no friends or family that it can call.
THEY HAVE ALSO UPDATED THE PENDANT WITH A WATCH - This now doesn't "show off my Disability in public"
WARNING: The watch battery has to be charged daily, instead of 3 days, with previous Pendant. It's also heavier.
However, I am very pleased with the upgrade and new 24 hour monitoring.
I NOW FULLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY- 10 STARS!
I am very impressed with the customer service of this company and the clever abilities and features of this device.
However, I do have to say with my PERSONAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS, there are two life threatening restrictions that I feel must be changed, as follows.
1) There should NEVER be a time limit on calling 000!
Three months ago, I had a terrible accident when my mobility scooter hit a tiny offcut of a copper pipe, that jammed my rear drive wheel and I was ejected and landed on my head and was unconscious and badly injured.
According to witnesses, the alarm activated, sent a SMS to my NDIS carer (who called my unanswered phone and not the device back...) and then it called 000. However, the call terminated after 3 mins while they were trying to explain the serious injuries and my difficult location in a park. A witness (RN) had to call back on her phone.
What would have happened if I was alone?
Why is there a time limit set to 3 mins at all for 000 when it costs nothing to call them? Even a phone that is locked or no SIMM can still call 000. I asked support to get the limit taken off but they only extended mine to 5 mins. There should be no limit at all for 000.
Sure, ppl shouldn't use it as a "personal phone" but I have no family or friends and the primary carer would not have been available after office hours.
There is no time limit of INCOMING calls.
2) There is only a small 100 characters text limit on the SMS outgoing emergency text alerts. I need to put in my medical information but not enough room.
Even though the base station gives my STREET BLOCK address, it does not provide my unit number, so part of my msg has to contain that.
Please extend this? I have to put my medical information in a key lock box registered to Ambulance NSW to enter but I *NEED* the freedom to go out and now I am too scared!
As my primary NDIS goal is to resocialise after 15 years staying at home, due to PTSD and I have a spinal disability, epilepsy and medical allergies.
If I had a fit or fall and couldn't speak after office hours, this device would be nearly useless because you can't send a SMS to 000 with location information.
Please provide unlimited time with 000 and more space on automatic SMS fall and lack of motion alert messages. 100 characters is too short.
The product is great BUT is too limiting for my situation. I am sure some simple commands can be sent, for these very small changes, that will give me back my confidence.
Thank you for considering my request and also for your previous very kind customer service, when you replaced it after it died in the shower. They had a replacement the next day with a pre-paid return bag. Now that's great service....
Hasen.
Hi Hasen. These days we do make the 000 calls unlimited. If yours isn't making 000 for as long as needed please get in touch and we will make that happen for you.
With regards to the length of information in the "Help Me" text message. If you need your unit number put in as well either, a. call us and we'll do it for you, or 2. text the words Prefix,Hasen 1/123 Smith St, Smithville (as an example). The reason we don't usually put addresses in this field is in case you're not home. 000 receive your home address when they are called. It's tied to your account. I hope this helps. More than 100 characters tends to turn each emergency text message into two separate texts. That's the reason for the limitation. Regards, Phil

During my tracheostomy and then my laryngectomy this was essential as I was unable to speak.
My adult children insisted I get one.
I would recommend it to anyone who has any type of impairment, life saver ❤️
Thanks for a wonderful review Kelly, you’ve made my day. I hope you recover soon and no longer need your live life alarm! Regards, Phil

My father refuses to wear the necklace, I have misplaced the wrist band holder...
I emailed to ask how I could get a replacement..
No reply.
So 6months of having life alarm.. it's sat in the charger... unused.
Hi phoebe. Just wondering why you didn’t ask for a refund if your dad wouldn’t wear the device. I will have someone see if they can find your email and get back to you. Regards Phil

I found the alarm button too close to the surface of the alarm and I was activating it in error. So I made a plastic shield to prevent this .

LiveLife Alarms, over the past five years, has been a great company to work with. You can always get through on the phone straight away, all team members are extremely helpful, the personal alarm has been perfect for my 92 y/o mother-in-law, tracking and delivery has been flawless. With the Telstra 3G network discontinuing and Aged Support funding being delayed, LiveLife sent out a new alarm express post which took just one day! My MIL and our family are relieved she has another fully programmed pendant operational again. Thanks LiveLife - you're amazing!
Please stop it Chris! You're making us blush over here. It is most definitely our pleasure to try as hard as we can to provide an excellent product and lifelong service. Thanks very much for your kind words. Regards, Phil

It obviously does the job - as in it's a falls alarm, but it needs many improvements - to name a couple... 1. It doesn't have a battery life indicator except to say out loud -20% battery remaining (or similar) which can happen in the middle of the night scaring my mother then making it hard for her to get back to sleep. That means it doesn't last as advertised - I think 4-5 days. Meaning she needs to charge it every 2nd day so she doesn't get woken. Meaning it is not on her as often as we would like it to be. 2. It is far too big and bulky to be worn as a watch. 3. If it can be worn in the shower - which is great, then a 2nd lanyard would be good so one can remain wet and a dry one changed over after showering so you don't wet your clothes. 3. There must be a better way for this product than having a green light flash and a red light flash, or on solidly etc - you need to keep the instructions near to read up on their meaning - esp for someone with dementia, who can't remember what all the flashing lights mean.
Do more research than I obviously did!!!

Purchased a watch for my father in law a couple of years ago. The watch works great, only having to replace the charging station once. It has never failed him (or us). Also, he is not great with mobiles so this watch device is also perfect, as when out and he has needed us, he taps the watch and it rings us and he can talk into it as well as hear us. We definitely recommend this product!
Thanks for the kind words Ryan. I will be sure to pass your review onto the team here. Regards, Phil Mathieson

Alert comes as a watch or pendant. However, I find after some time that the battery only lasts 24 hours. The company claims it iis because it goes between 4G to 3G towers. 3G do not operate anymore, and battery sometimes last less than 24 hours The alert did not activate with three falls but the company advised you need to activate it yourself at times.
