We did the morning tour at 7 am and were very lucky to see a shoebill couple only after a few minutes. After some time more and more boats with muzungus on board joined us, but the guides made sure that we didn't disturb the animals. Our guide Hassan was very knowledgeable about shoebills and other birds in the swamps. We didn't use their pick-up service as the 20 $ they charge seemed a little too expensive for us. With a boda boda you can get there for 1.50 $ (muzungu price) from downtown Entebbe. In our opinion with 50 $ / person the tour is a little bit overpriced, because the net time spend with bird watching is very short, only 1.5 hours. And we get that the conservation work that is done by the local community is very important and needs support, but it's not transparent how much of the money actually goes to that community.

Excellente expérience avec notre guide Eric. Avons passé près de 4h dans les marais à faire du Birdwatching dans une pirogue en bois. Nous avons vu beaucoup d’oiseaux mais pas le bec en sabot. Et puis, en arrivant à moins d’une minute de l’embarcadère notre guide a reçu un appel lui disant qu’il y avait un bec en sabot à l’autre bout des marais et il n’a pas hésité à repartir pour 45 minutes d’observation. Il n’a pas ménagé sa peine pour nous rendre cette expérience inoubliable. Je recommande vivement d’autant que le prix n’est pas excessif (50 dollars par personne)

We had a lovely morning in the swamps. Livingstone the guide is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work/nature. Sadly we did not see a Shoebill as nature had other plans. However we did see the Grey Crowned Crane, the Ugandan national bird, which Livingstone said he had not seen for 6 months. So we were very lucky. Plus there are so many other amazing birds to see and watch and they are all in close proximity. Well worth a lovely morning

Although I am not an avid bird watcher, I thoroughly enjoyed our morning excursion with Livingstone.

It was a very exciting trip to Mabamba swamp near Lake Victoria in Uganda. At first we travelled in a big personal motor boat to the swamp. Then a smaller motor boat took us to the Shoe-billed stork. The boat sometimes stuck to the mud and grass,but the two boatmen successfully pushed the boat to the open. Very nice trip

Had a really good time at lake Victoria. Was able to spot shoebill and other birds in mabamba swamp. Definitely recommend livingstone for the shoebill tour.

Great experience! Went out of the port around 3pm and were lucky to find 2 storks fairly quick once we reached the swamp. All of the guides were very enthusiastic, fun, and knowledgeable. Livingston was our main guide and he was amazing.

本当にハシビロコウが見れました。もし見れなかったとしても、鳥天国を十分満喫できると思います。エンテベ空港ピックアップ→クルージング→エンテベ空港で3時間半程でした。普段レビューは書きませんが、ガイドがいい人でしたのでおすすめします。あと、冷え性の人は長袖シャツに長ズボンでは少し寒いです（8/4）。厚手の上着があるといいかと思います。蚊よけもあればなお良しです。

A serene boat ride on a wooden boat , & then transferring to a smaller wooden boat through the marshland in Mabamba Swamp is nature at its best. We were very lucky to see a male & female shoebills.
