The tutors are fantastic and very supportive of my children. Recently they have passed their HSK 1 and HSK 2 exams with flying colours and the tutors really helped them achieve this. Good value for money too. Recommended

Coaching here is definitely not for amateurs. Freshers will definitely struggle to catch up with the speed the tutors go at. Also, infrastructure isn't great. I would not recommend Mandarin Plus.

I fully recommend Luna Li as a teacher for Chinese. She has a broad set of skills and capabilities in teaching methods. She is very professional, friendly, responsive and patient as well as structured. Thanks to her, I caught up with speaking, enhanced my writing skills and learned the differences btw. Mandarin and e.g. Singaporean/Hokkian/Cantonese Chinese. Luna also ties in current topics/news and this enriches the knowledge base and makes it very interesting.

I just finished the intermediate business Chinese course in this school MandarinPlus. My teacher Zhang is a very professional and responsible teacher. Three months ago, I learned business Chinese with Teacher Li. She is not only very professional, but also very responsible and patient. I attended the HSK Level 3 class and learned a lot from Wang Cheng laoshi! She has a very pleasant personality and is fluent in english hence has the ability to explain in detail what the chinese words and characters mean. She is also patient and always encourages us during our learning. Would highly recommend. I now feel more confident communicating in chinese.

xie lao shi (teacher selina) has patiently taught me mandarin in an individualised class tailored to suit my needs. she is very friendly, knowledgeable and able to find suitable resources that has helped me greatly! i have become more confident and better able to communicate with my clients because of the role plays we have done together :) highly recommend!

I have been taking 1-on-1 mandarin classes for 2 terms now and have progressed to HSK 4. I have learnt a lot and the pace of the lesson is catered to my current understanding and my needs. I enjoyed the conversations in class about current topics which strengthens my understanding on the mandarin terms (e.g. vaccines, covid) and the teacher also offers other fun resources to aid in the learning (e.g. websites, youtube videos). Lastly, it has been easy to arrange lessons and they have been understanding when work commitment comes up that forces a last minute cancellation now and then.

I enjoyed my classes at Mandarin Plus with Selina Laoshi. We held our classes face-to-face and one-on-one, after my work. I like the holistic approach wherein we learn both speaking and reading the characters. Although reading the characters is challenging, I've learned to appreciate it as it helps understanding the language more.
I recommend the physical class environment as it a more personal approach, wherein you can understand the lessons better.

Office is very hot and there is no air-con after 6 pm. Too much precipitation, which makes it hard to breathe, especially with mask on. Teaching isn't great and they only care to rush through the content to complete the task.

I have learned so much in my HSK 1 standard chinese classes with Luna laoshi. She is very patient — which anyone that takes a language needs – and it’s very comfortable to practice conversations, which is also a huge plus. She paces the class just right so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. I’m thrilled to have found her class! Luna laoshi is a great mandarin tutor and I would strongly recommend her.

I studied for approximately 5 months with Mandarin Plus, on a customised Business Mandarin course focusing on the Maritime and shipping sectors. My teacher Selina prepared news articles and worksheets for me every week, and was tireless in searching for relevant maritime-specific vocabulary. She also supported me in my learning by vetting short articles and social media posts that I wrote. One-to-one lessons can be intense, but Teacher Selina was always cheerful and made lessons fun. Definitely recommend for quality language lessons with a native speaker at an affordable price.
