I have dealt with Dan since me and my husband purchased our first property in 2018. He has always been very helpful and informative from the first mortgage, to the renewal and now on to the second mortgage. I highly recommend Dan as he is very knowledgeable, easy to speak to, as he will speak to you like a human and not a statistic using jargen no one understands and everything has always been done as and when said. Working with Dan is an absolute pleasure. He made the complex process of buying a house remarkably easy. Couldnât have made the first house buying process any easier for myself and my partner. Explained in as basic or detailed terms at each step of the way, based on how much we knew. I moved to Dan after feeling a bit deflated from speaking with previous advisors who I felt werenât very communicate or helpful. Straight away he found me a better deal - being able to lend more AND a better rate/ lower monthly instalments! From the initial Zoom meeting right through to completion, Dan was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. As an older first time buyer, I didn't have a clue about getting the best mortgage deal, or any deal for that matter! Dan was with us every step of the way - from getting the best mortgage deal to accommodate my partner's less-than-straightforward salary, to explaining each step along the house buying journey, and was always there to support and explain anything we weren't sure about. Buying a house can be quite scary, but Dan's calm and straightforward advice took a lot of the stress away. I would recommend Dan to anybody seeking mortgage advice.

I approached McGregor Ross in January 2024 as a first time buyer. At that time it was a challenging environment for first time buyers and the housing market. I was unsure on the process in general and what I would be able to afford.
Dan sourced me a very competitive and affordable deal for my mortage , and was always on hand to answer my queries very promptly. He was always professional and was in constant contact with me right from my first query, all the way through to completion several months later. He also liaised with solicitors which made that aspect of the purchase a little less stressful.

I don't think you could expect more from a mortgage broker. As a first time buyer I had questions about pretty much all aspects of the house buying process, Dan always took the time to answer all of them very clearly.
