Attended a wedding here and place was absolutely amazing.
I don’t think the venue is continuing as a function centre

An amazing stay at Micalo for a special birthday celebration. A very luxurious stay on a beautiful property with everything one would ever want; golf, pool, spa, sauna, dancing, singing and amazing spaces for sumptuous meals. The interior styling for all of the rooms was exceptional. Would highly recommend Micalo as the perfect special getaway stay!!

Absolutely stunning property! We recently stayed at this luxury property in Yamba with a group of colleagues, and it exceeded all our expectations. Every detail was meticulously thought out, from the beautifully decorated interiors to the pristine outdoor spaces. The spacious bedrooms, each with its own unique charm, provided us with the perfect balance of comfort and elegance. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals together. The living areas were both stylish and cozy, perfect for relaxing, socialising and a game of Chess. The location was ideal, offering breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions, even if you don't want to leave the property (which we didn't) This place is a true gem, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

I had the most memorable 21st birthday at Micalo, with all my family and friends in the most luxurious and jaw dropping setting. I have had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous home 5 times and every time I go I am in awe all over again. It is designed perfectly with elements that you would never think of but are deliberately situated throughout the whole property for ease. Every bedroom is beautiful and unique, not to mention the comfiest beds I have ever slept on. The shared spaces bring people together through cooking in the kitchen overlooking the river, to enjoying the games room and cinema for some fun. Micalo is serenity. I could not recommend this property and home more. From the beautiful native wildlife, plants and kangaroos that live there, to the exterior setting that accommodates for both fun and relaxation. The lovely owners of this property are some of the best people I know and create an experience like no other.

This property is the definition of luxury! From the moment we arrived, every detail was meticulously curated to ensure a truly exceptional experience. With a plethora of activities catering to every taste, along with communal spaces fostering togetherness and secluded areas for privacy and relaxation, there truly was no incentive to venture beyond Micalo. If you're looking for the ultimate indulgence, this is it!

We have had the great pleasure of staying at Micalo on several occasions; from big glamorous 50th birthday celebrations to small intimate gatherings, to lunches on the lawn with girlfriends… It is quite simply an aesthetic haven! It soothes your senses and calms your mind, positioned as it is next to a beautiful river estuary and surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Everything has been beautifully thought out and presented to make your stay an indulgence you’ll want to share with your friends and a luxury you wish you could take home. Unique and welcoming, we unreservedly recommend this delightful luxurious retreat.

From the moment you pull up to the front gate you feel luxurious. Every single thing has been thought of to make anyone who enters the home feel special.
The attention to detail is something that blew my mind. The beds are SO comfortable, the rooms so spacious and the kitchen of dreams!!! We had a family weekend away and it was absolutely the best. To sit in the afternoon outside with the family and toddlers running around makes you remember exactly what life is about. We will 1000% be back!

This was the dream house for an extended family celebration. Cant wait to get back there.

I had the pleasure of staying at Micalo with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. It is such a gorgeous house, down to every detail. The bedrooms are beautifully designed with the most comfortable beds. There are numerous living areas, as well as the gorgeous pool and spa (and sauna!) so there was plenty of room for us to spread out, or come together for a meal and drinks. The property itself is so tranquil, you wouldn’t know that Yamba town is just down the road. However we didn’t want to leave once we arrived. I couldn’t rate Micalo highly enough!

I had the most incredible long weekend at Micalo with a group of girlfriends! It surpassed all my expectations of luxury. The bedrooms were not only spacious but also beautifully decorated. The kitchen and dining areas were impressively large yet still cozy. The indoor / outdoor bar and lounge area was just incredible. And when it came to activities, there was something for everyone – from lounging by the pool to practicing at the private golf range, enjoying a game of snooker, or gathering around the fire pits.

Micalo has it all, it is the most extraordinary design, so much to discover inside and out. You don’t want to leave.

Micalo is a stunning holiday house, offering exceptional comfort and breathtaking views. It’s modern amenities, elegant decor, and serene atmosphere make it the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway.

Went for a family holiday! It was the best place you could ever visit, heaps of activities and spaces to lounge. Will definitely be returning to Micalo!

It was incredible just how quickly I began to distress, relax and unwind once arriving at Micalo. I distinctly remember lying in my supa comfy room, listening to the sound of the rain on the roof and the wind literally whistling among the pine trees and thinking, was I in a rain-forest? We had planned a midweek getaway for surfing and golf, however the weather had other ideas. Instead, we found ourselves indulging in Mother Nature’s flora and fauna on full display surrounding this 6 Star resort. The singing birds, the kangaroo’s lounging on the lawn and cows in the paddock and all the greenery soon ushered in a peace and tranquility I didn’t realise I needed so much.

It was clear that over the next three days we were going to take advantage of all that Micalo offers, the hot and spacious sauna, the warm silent spa beside the refreshing pool dip. We played pool, ping pong and watched some shows in the huge media room. Although Micalo is only 5 minutes by car to fabulous restaurants in Yamba, we opted to stay home and prepare meals each evening in one of the best equipped and modern kitchen (and bar) I’ve ever set foot in. The outdoor BBQ also provided the fire for our gigantic aged T-Bones sourced from the local Bowen’s Deli. We ate dinners at the long table on the patio and retreated back into the huge lounge in front of the fireplace for deserts, more wine and laughs. Mornings are such a treat. On waking up you realise that you are not dreaming, Micalo is simply stunning and I'm really here sharing in it..

Like most getaways, work responsibilities creep in, but Micalo is so spacious and comfortable, the few short hours I did power up my laptop didn’t seem like work at all. It wasn’t long before I was back in the sauna wondering why I'm not doing this more often in my life. The weather cleared one morning so we did make use of the putting green and Teed-off a few wayward drives. I can only imagine how great it would be to jump in the golf cart and play a few holes when the weather is fine, but that can wait till next time.

The highlight for me, other than the belly buckling laughs with my old friends, was finding myself cooling in the pool alone after a late night sauna when the heavens opened up again and sweet rain kissed my face – or was I taken up into the heavens? Who knows, but I can assure you, rain, hail or shine Micalo really is a little slice of heaven here on earth.

I’m lucky enough to have been to Micalo on 2 occasions, for a friend’s 50th celebration and another time for a girls weekend away. Three words come to mind:
"Stunning, Luxurious, and Unforgettable”

Both stays at Micalo were nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the elegance and charm of the property. Every detail exuded luxury, from the spacious living areas to the meticulously landscaped gardens.

The interior design is a masterpiece, blending modern amenities with classic sophistication. The bedrooms were like sanctuaries of comfort, each with its own individual style and plush bedding. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spa whilst taking in the breathtaking views.
The attention to detail extended beyond the interior, with thoughtful touches throughout the outdoor spaces. Whether sipping cocktails, dining al fresco under the stars or sitting by one of the fire pits, every moment felt like a dream.

The location was perfect, offering both privacy and convenience. We were just a short drive away the town and from beautiful beaches, however as soon as we arrived at Micalo we actually never wanted to leave.

Micalo exceeded all of my expectations. It is truly an unforgettable property with absolutely nothing spared. I cannot wait to return.

Micalo was probably the best stay I’ve had in a long time!
