My family really enjoys our lessons at Monrovia Music Academy. My son, daughter and I are all beginners. Our instructors have been able to cultivate our desire to learn by keeping it fun. My kiddos practice at home independently- it's been so cool to see these new skills develop. Thank you to Mr. Chris, Ms. Ella and Ms. Kathleen!

This place is perfect for your children to learn English from the basics. My daughter's teacher Becca McGarry is very kind and very patient and always has a good attitude. My daughter loves her class AND her teacher.There is always a good atmosphere and very good music

My 6yo son has been thoroughly enjoying his drum lessons at MMA for almost a year now. Lucas is an exceptional teacher (think of a really good teacher you've had, and then take it up a notch) who has gone above and beyond in helping Noah feel comfortable, learn proper techniques, and of course have fun playing the drums! I am amazed how much he has learned so far. And the receptionist Agustina is always super sweet and helpful. So glad we found this place!!

I've been a drum student at this location for about 4 months now and I've had a very pleasant and productive experience so far. The place is always clean and organized. It also has a weirdly soothing and sterile smell - in a good way! The staff is friendly and helpful. Setting up your schedule and payments is a breeze. But the most value I get from Monrovia Music Academy comes from my drum teacher, Lucas L. From our very first intro session (which was free, btw), I knew he was exactly the kind of teacher I was looking for. He covers both the mechanical and theoretical sides of learning the drums and when he senses that you're getting frustrated with something, he finds a way to help you get back on track. Most importantly, Lucas was able to point out the bad drumming habits I didn't even know I had and so we ironed them out right away. I can confidently say that Lucas is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. I'm just 4 months in and I can already sense that I significantly improved as a drummer. I'm lucky to be one of his students and the academy is lucky to have him as a teacher under their employ. One con: classes are expensive (for my budget, anyway). Bonus: They have their own small parking lot on one side of their building and there's a huge public parking lot on the other side! Bonus: There's a brand new drum shop literally one block away on Myrtle called California Drums. I go there almost every after class and daydream about drumming while checking out brand new drums and cymbals. If you're a drum student at MMA, you get a 5% (or is it 10%?) discount on every purchase.

I'm glad that we enrolled our son Isaac at Monrovia Music Academy because the staff are nice and helpful. Isaac can play with both hands now and knows how to play some songs. Big shout out to Isaac's piano teacher Chris C. because he is very patient with Isaac and he tailor fits his teaching styles for Isaac to learn better. He doesn't get frustrated when he has to repeat the instructions again or re-teach, he makes the lesson fun for Isaac. He gives constructive criticisms in a nice tone and he encourages Isaac to do his best. Isaac even decided that he will join the upcoming recital in June. MMA also has clean classrooms and good instruments available for student use, they are also easy to talk to in terms of scheduling and make up classes. Thank you Chris and MMA family for all that you do, we appreciate you. Isaac loves going to his piano class. :)

I can't say enough positive things about MMA. My 9 year old has been taking voice lessons with Ms. Johanna for almost a year now and her confidence has improved so much. Ms. Johanna is kind and knowledgeable and does a great job of pushing my daughter outside of her comfort zone, as needed. My 6 year old has been taking violin with Ms. Lina for about 6 months now and she loves it! Ms. Lina is so patient and always has a smile on her face, my daughter enjoys attending her lessons. Lastly, shout out to Ulf and Agustina for supporting Monroe Elementary with our sponsorship and fundraising opportunities! So glad to have this great organization a part of our Monrovia community!

My son has been taking piano classes for a year+ with teacher @Chris Cozzi, he is absolutely happy and enjoy every class! He has made so much progress!

Our daughter has been taking violin lessons with teacher Lenche Nasev at MMA. She is a wonderful teacher with effective techniques and methods. She is very enthusiastic and positive. Our daughter is making great progress, and importantly, she is enjoying her violin class. Thank you, Lenche, for helping our daughter become a better violinist while keeping lessons fun. We also want to thank the front desk, especially Agustina, for always being helpful and accommodating. If you are looking for a music school, MMA is a way to go!

MMA is great. My son's been taking drum lessons with Louie Pereira now for almost 2 years and we love it. Louie is a great teacher. I can tell he loves music and loves teaching. He sees the potential in my son and is always excited to fill me in on the progress being made. Anytime someone in Monrovia mentions their kid is interested in playing drums I tell them to check out MMA and, if possible, sign up with Louie.

My daughter joined MMA this year for vocal classes. She's had the best experience with her instructor, Johanna Bagay, and all of the staff at MMA. Johanna has helped my daughter push herself out of her comfort zone. She has made so much progress! My daughter was recently selected, amongst many talent singers, to join her school's premier show choir. Thank you MMA and Ms. Baggay for your dedication to my daughter's learning and passion for singing. We appreciate you!
