Update: Still 5 stars as of 12.20.24 Honestly would give 10 if I could. James KILLS it ORIGINAL POST: I have been going to James for some time and he always does an AMAZING job on my hair. His cuts AND colors are always on trend & look perfect for what I am going for. I usually go in with an open mind and let him work his magic and I am NEVER ever disappointed. He takes time to explain to me how to achieve certain styles and what works best for my hair type. I am so glad I found James :-D

I booked with Xander for a blow out. i can tell he was uneducated on working with ethnic hair. When blow drying my hair he used a paddle brush which #1 causes breakage. Instead of using any type of oil or shine he piled hair spray on top of hair spray onto my hair. My hair looked a mess and so frizzy. When i asked if he can just try using a flat iron and just bumping the ends as in (just making the ends curly and the rest straight) he told me he was uncomfortable doing so even after showing him the easiest video reference. Bumping ends has been around since the 60s everyone knows how to do that. Even the front desk agreed i asked for something very simple. At the end he didn’t even ask me if i wanted any finishing touches he kicked me out the chair and told me that’s all the time he had today even though i was his last appointment and there was still a hour before closing. my hair looked CRAZY at checkout i wanted to cry because i never had a issue like this before and i came to the shop to feel better about myself. If you have ethnic or curly hair ladies i would stick to the deva curl specialist at the shop ONLY she’s great.

Today was my first time ever getting my hair done at Mosaic and I’m very pleased with my results! Cola did a fantastic job and has incredible hair knowledge! Cant wait to go back :)

I was referred to see Ryan. Best highlights I’ve ever had. Dimensional, natural and grow out beautifully! Love the curly cut with Ryan as well.

Gabriel is a great stylist, but I am really upset because my friend had recommended me this salon and I first drove 30 minutes for a hair consultation 1 months ago with the stylist she recommended. I showed up with an appointment for a hair consultation with the stylist she recommended and she was too busy to see me, so they sent a different guy to look at my hair. He gave me a recommendation based off the photos I showed him and then gave me a pricing estimate of $270 for a Master stylist after I had booked. I came in day of my appointment and showed Gabriel and he was honest with me and told me that based off the photos it would take more than 3 hours and that was not what they had booked me for. I decided since I was already there to get a hair cut because I didn’t know when they would have a 6 hour time slot available. They did not tell me though that the hair cut was going to cost $68 even with a discount, even when I asked about the shampoo being included if it would cost more? He said no, it was included… after everything they tell me that what I want based off the photo will actually be $400 and I can come back in 2 weeks. $468 is not what I had signed up for and I am really disappointed with how this place handled the whole situation. I spent in total 2 hours of driving time and $68 and didn’t get any of the services they had promised me.

Mosaic Hair Studio Milk District has an amazing team of stylists. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Whatever your needs are for your hair, they will handle it including curly hair. They also do facials, eyelashes, eyebrows, and waxing. You can purchase hair products there as well. The studio is clean.

This place is usually amazing with great stylists but since I first started coming here a lot has changed with how they run the front desk/appointments. They squeezed me in for a haircut which I appreciated. Got back at the schedule time for the cut and after waiting twenty minutes it took me having to go up to the receptionist to ask what was happening. Only then did I find out the stylist was “super behind”. They should have been transparent the moment they realized she was running behind. So if I wouldn’t have asked she would have just sat at her desk letting me wait forever with no update? Super disappointed.

My 11yo got her hair cut with Gabriel. She wanted to try bangs for the first time. Her hair looked beautiful!
