Absolutely the very best people. Stopped along my way thru hiking the AT then went back again just to stay along my way up north. Too bad there arent 10 stars because thats more accurate for all the things!

My wife and had an amazing experience here for 5 nights in the Jefferson room. We enjoyed our nascar race in Bristol which is a 40 min drive not too far , did a small hike at Carvers Gap , a visit to Elk River Falls and some shopping in Johnson City. Shanon, David, Shelton , Jill and the rest of the staff were so very helpful and friendly. There is really no need to mention the food because everyone else does and for good reason, yes the breakfast and dinners were awesome. We met lots of hikers and other guests who were also so helpful and friendly. This is really a gem of a spot and hope to return some day from Consecon Ontario Canada. Brian and Liz Hennessy

Love the location, we will revise this with more info after we are finished. They furnished a secure place to park our vehicles for the 3 days we were on the trail and when we got back they had the restaurant open and we had a great burger and sides to finish off the trip. It was a good experience and I'd definitely use it again. Maybe have to stay next time.

Stayed at Mountain Harbour as base camp for doing the Carvers Gap to 19e Appalachian Trail hike. Everything was awesome- service, food, amenities. We camped out back by the stream and showered in the hostel. At their food/bar area, we relaxed and had a few beers, mingled with friendly locals, and enjoyed some delicious food. We had wings (honey hot sauce) and brisket. Brisket was being smoked right beside us and melted in your mouth- so good. The camp store has a lot of great supplies if needed. The shuttle took us up to Carvers gap, and we hiked out on 19e to the hikers entrance back to the hostel. The owners are some of the nicest people you will meet, and I can’t say enough about how cool this place is.

Every single time I visit the area, I make sure to stop here for a beer or food. I love all of the new additions! The bar/food area is amazing. We can’t wait to come back!
