Quintessential Irish Pub (in the States) Charm, atmosphere food and drinks are spot on!

Always a great meal. This was Sunday brunch

Fish and chips and the Cajon chicken pasta were very good. They could have a few more draft beer choices for being a pub. We ate on the patio under the heaters, and it was very comfortable for December. Inside was not, very chilly in there.

Starting with the young woman who seated us - this was an unfriendly experience. She was taken aback that I asked her not to put my wife and I at the bar. Her attitude was one that made me think the rumor that Carmel locations are a bit uppity in how they think about themselves. None the less the experience continued. The young lady who waited on us was really nice and took our orders and delivered. One thing that could have improved was the temperature. I am not sure if it was the door to the outside dining area being close to the back of the restaurant - but it was hot outside and it was unreasonably warm in the back of the restaurant. I was in a good sweat by the end of the meal...and though my wife would never say anything I could see her obvious discomfort. The food quality was one of the areas I thought was poor. I ordered the chicken which came with a baked potato. The chicked was dry as if it had been reheated or recooked. It was well received by my great dane Angus but for me, I was disspointed. My wife ordered the Montechristo sandwich. I was grilled on both sides but the sandwich was not like you would have expected - cooked like french toast , dipped in an egg and cream mix and fried. Overall the meal was subpar and I caution older patrons to be very careful if they seat you in the back. The location has a hidden step that almost caused me to fall, which was painful and embarrassing.

The pot roast was amazingly tender and flavorful!!! The loaded potato soup was delicious! Our server was outstanding! She usually takes care of the bar but was serving the evening we were there. Definitely a great place to plan on going!!

Burger I had was incredible. Service on point. One of the best spots in Carmel!

My guy friend and I were sat on the patio last night and after 20 min of no service and the other two tables had two different waiters three times come and go without even aclnowledging us....we decided to get up and leave. They were not even busy. Horrible service.

Highly recommend! Always a great place to eat. Excellent bar. Terrific service. Tasty food. Great variety on the menu.

Great food fantastic service in a really cool part of town. Definitely a place to come for a meal or just a drink.

Third time is not a charm... went in for dinner, place was not busy so we got sat right away. No one ever came over to greet us or take our order. People were getting sat after us and their servers were already serving their drink/appetizer orders. After 15 minutes, we let the hostess know, she could care less, she giggled - we left. Walked over to the new Buffalouis across the street and were greeted warmly. We were sat immediately. The food and drinks came quick. The chicken wings were very tasty. Devon our server, cared, the manager came over and asked how everything was, he genuinely wanted to know our thoughts, he cared...visit establishments and spend your hard earned money where the staff appreciate you and not a place that could care less.

Our party loved the service. It was a little cool in the covered outdoor seating. Tenderloins and fish and chips were great. However I was disappointed that the Tuna melt was cold. Normally Tuna Melts are served hot with melted cheese. This was more like a regular Tuna Sandwich. The chips were very good though. Parking is also hard to find.
