The only tour and guide you’ll need Omar was an incredible connection for us. He took us to the most amazing place where we had a hands on experience with. Natural dyes, were treated to a delicious home cooked meal and met the most amazing family. We come once a year with a big group and we’re already talking about what we will do with him next year. Smart, funny, kind - Omar is the only guide we’ll use.

Wonderful guided tour of Monte Albán with Omar. Omar gave our group a wonderful guided tour of Monte Albán. He is excellent and made the experience much richer than had we wondered around alone. He is friendly, professional, impeccably dressed, on time and informative! His English was excellent. Lovely afternoon.

Oaxaca Experience Omar is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Fluent in English, safe driver and is well informed about the history of Oaxaca and the current best restaurants as well. We had the pleasure to meet and dine with his wonderful family (wife Hilda and two children, Arturo and Amber) a couple of times and that truly enhanced or Oaxaca Experience.

Fantastic tour with Omar Our guide Omar took us out on two separate days. We first went to Monte Alban where he provided an amazing, informative tour of the ruins. He then got us exclusive entry into Vive Verde, a lush cactus garden that has to be seen to be believed. It had surprises around every corner. I can’t imagine a cactus garden that will ever top this one! The second day out we began at the archeological ruins in Mitla. Omar’s knowledge of the history of his country provides a wonderful perspective for visitors. Next he took us to a family textile shop in Teotitlan. We had an amazing presentation explaining the process from start to finish using all organic materials. The owner and artist did the entire tour, let us try carding and spinning, and demonstrating the looms. His work is fabulous, some traditional designs, but also his own more contemporary look incorporating age old patterns. To complete the day, Omar took us to see the magnificent two thousand year old tree in Tule. We feel we would have missed so much if we had not used Omar to do our tour.

The ride was smooth, spacious, and air-conditioned—perfect for Oaxaca’s diverse terrain. Omar was always punctual and thoughtful, even providing bottled water for us during the trips.I can’t recommend Omar enough to anyone visiting Oaxaca. His professionalism, attention to detail, and passion for sharing the beauty of his home make him an outstanding guide. Go with Oaxaca Experience Tours! Omar was highly recommended by a mutual friend and we were not disappointed. He offered airport pick up, always nice after long travel day to a new city. First tour was a very full day to Hierva del Agua with hiking, exploring and swimming. Amazing place. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local comedor with traditional foods. Private and special. Proceeded to Teotitlán to Huella Carmen, which was an incredible experience. Learning about the yarn, dyeing, and actually getting to try the large looms. Went on to chocolate tasting and then to look at all the amazing weaving and other items in their shop. Family of many generations, encouraging the youth to return and follow in their families traditions from weaving, to chocolate to coffees and pottery. Using traditional to contemporary designs. Second very full day, which involves a long drive, but so worth it! Saw amazing countryside in the early morning light and went to Santiago Apoala. With Santiago and Rocía. More delicious local food, hike through impressive canyon, then on to hike down many steps to a beautiful waterfall, complete with frigid swim. Always on time, always checked in, always had water and snacks available. Made us feel like family and they seem to truly enjoy sharing the beauty and history of the area. Highly recommend!

Oaxaca Tour amazing! We had an amazing experience. Omar our tour guide and Omar our driver were both amazing. They were very knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. We went to Hierva de agua, a mezcal tour, shopping, and learned how rugs and thread are made. I would highly recommend this tour site as it was top notch. We were also toured in a 20 seater Mercedes Benz which made the experience a very comfortable one with comfort and A/C. Thank you!!

Friendly, flexible, and fun! Omar was able to accommodate our last-minute request for a custom tour to Hierve el Agua and the Tule tree. He arrived at our hotel right on time in a spotless vehicle. A magical day Had an amazing day visiting the Mitla archaeological site, Huella Carmín artesians, and Santa Maria de Tule with our wonderful and knowledgeable guides Omar and Josua.

A terrific way to explore Oaxaca Oaxaca Experience Tours offers a marvelous opportunity to explore and learn about the archaeological and cultural treasures of Oaxaca. The company’s owner, Omar Rito, has a deep love for his native city and a remarkable breadth of knowledge of the peoples, cultures and wonders of the region. And his warm and welcoming personality made every experience a pleasure. We took a private tour with Mr. Rito himself to the archaeological site at Mitla, followed by a visit to outlying villages specializing in hand-woven textiles. It was a truly delightful day at a very reasonable cost. We highly recommend him and his company.

Puerto Escondido Trip 2024 I found Oaxaca Experience Tours through a Google Search and they responded so quickly and answered all and any of my concerns. It was our first time in Puerto Escondido and there was 12 of us!! Omar was exceptional! Amazing Oaxaca Omar will tailor the day to your specific needs. We were a party of 8. The sprinter was clean, Equipped with a cooler with water bottles. Driver is very experienced and the tour guides speak very well English and of course Spanish. Our days were filled with interesting things to see and do. He will give you suggestions as to what to see and do. As a local, he knows Oaxaca very well. I would totally use him again if and when I’m in Oaxaca again.

Wonderful visit to Ocotolan Friday Market, Black pottery and Albrijes workshops, ice cream and more! We hired the company for a one day private tour. Rocio’s helpful explanations and (when needed) interpretations made each stop that much more interesting and enjoyable for us English-speakers. As we came to find out, this trip was much more personalized than we expected when Rosieo announced that we were going through her own hometown, pointing out the road she lives on, her mother’s home, and even her brother’s ice cream stand (which we insisted upon stopping at after our tasty local lunch)! Great tour company, highly recommended.
