I reported the issue several times, only to receive the same responses. Eventually, I was told OfferUp was aware of the problem and working on it, but no timeline was given. After filing a complaint with the BBB, I received a response claiming the issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, a friend who tried to reorder couldn’t even find my account after her order was canceled. To make matters worse, I then received an email stating that my account was permanently deactivated for violating community guidelines—without specifying which guideline I supposedly violated. Prior to deactivation, I had a pending balance of $213, which I haven’t received, and no clear explanation of what went wrong. I’m incredibly disappointed with the lack of transparency, the delayed responses, and the negative impact this has had on my business. Never Never. Worst experience ever I closed my account because it was useless. Scams, stolen items being sold including my bike. No one would help me. You can't get a person and the responses are stupid with the automated chat.

Banned cause of a scammer I caught a scammer on offerup and called him out when he was trying to scam me. And before I could report him the scammer reported me and it was me who they close my account and banned from a profile I worked so hard to have all 5 stars and over 160 reviews and thousand followers. And one idiot and offerup screwed me over. Worst site ever

Awful Experience After many months of purchases and sales, and only perfect five star reviews, Offer-Up sent a notice that my account was being immediately and permanently deactivated for "breaking guidelines or community standards." No further explanation and no reply to my further inquiries and appeals except that the site reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts without warning if someone "breaks guidelines or community standards." Absolutely no idea what I did and they will not tell me. Lost a lot of time and effort and transactions in progress. Heed everyone's warnings: DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

Not small business friendly I sold many items on Offer Up over the years, however when I started trying to sell items from my licensed business, I found that big businesses on Offer Up don't have to play by the same rules. They really do allow larger businesses to post what they want in any manner they want and if you follow the same template as these businesses, your listing is removed. Very poor and not very fair oversight.

I sold an Item through offer up. The seller changed their mind and wanted their money back. I agree to do the return however it’s taking Offer up over three weeks and I still don’t have a resolution or response from Offer Up. Their support CHAT does NOT work. It just gives you bogus answers to”rephrase your question “. There is No person to talk to. Hence no resolution. Customer service does Not exist. Do NOT sell or buy anything with this app unless it’s local buyer and cash transaction. The OfferUp app is completely unreliable and untrustworthy.

Offer-Up took my money now won't let me get refund. I bought something on Offer-Up and they took my money out of my account before the seller had shipped item. We'll seller notified me they had dropped the item and it was broken. I've been trying desperately to submit a claim for refund. After they make it almost impossible to find where to submit the request I finally reach where you write description and write everything out I hit the submit bar and all it says is "Something went wrong" over and over. Inconsistent guidelines First negative is how glitchy the app is. I have had it completely blank out on me on 3 separate occasions. The timing was terrible as I was engaged in sales/purchases/meet-ups all three times. Second issue is the inconsistency with the guidelines. Offer up will remove an item from your listing refer you to reread the guidelines and then repost an item if you determine that they made an error. It's really odd, the items flagged and there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Furthermore, of the item removals I have experienced- guidelines were met. I was able to get customer service to investigate and restore, but why? Shouldn't this be done BEFORE your item is removed and you are threatened with suspension?
