My original experience with Laurie Ohall, was when I reached out for guidance for my 16y/o child on the spectrum. The school system provided parents with very basic, general information, which was overwhelming in a seminar setting, & did not address the specific needs or concerns of individual families. Being told that once a student reaches the age of majority, a parent does NOT have the legal right to advocate for the child , especially in an emergency, was a very scary, helpless feeling.
