One of these places I would drive past as it's on the main road I think the food is lovely and I'm a vegetarian so I wanted something about tasty and I'm a bit tired of well I just wanted something different and they came up with something pretty damn nice I had noodles with a bit of tofu I ate every bit when I first went in there I had laksa that was delicious and big so now if I'm going to treat myself and I can't bother cooking for myself I'll go there it's intimate there's not a great deal of tables but it's awesome just try it and leave a comment the people are awesome and really friendly

We were after some traditional Malaysian food for lunch and heard lots about this place so thought of trying it. Would definitely go back as we had no complaints about the food although the char kway teow portion was a little light. The only thing that we missed out on was the carrot cake as they weren’t available that day and was the main dish we wanted to try. The place is really simple and kind of nostalgic in a way back in Malaysia so don’t expect a fancy atmosphere. Toilets are available at the back and a few street parking around.

If you love Wok Hay, this is the place you should visit. I especially like the Wat Tan Hor.

We came by for dinner. The restaurant is located on Great North Road close to the Rata Street/Titirangi Road intersection. There are quite a few parking spots on the street. The restaurant isn't very big but we were able to get a table without booking. The menu on the wall has the same items as the actual menu. We grabbed a few items to share including the yong tofu, which is one of their specialty dish. We grabbed a wat tan hor, mee goreng and the yong tau foo on rice. The wat tan hor was quite nice since the rice noodles had a slight char taste and the gravy was nice. The mee goreng was also nice with bits of crackling in it. The yong tau foo was interesting and I did like it. It came with a spicy bean sauce and there was a series of different items filled with the fish paste. The food here is cooked quite nicely and I also noticed they had silver needle noodle which is also called a rat tail noodle. Certainly a nice place for Malaysian food.

Craving some good ol’ fashioned authentic Malaysian food? Even the setup is so genuinely Malaysian. Try these guys in New Lynn. One of my favourites when the craving hits. Chee Cheong Fan is my go to here… but over the years we have had so many other dishes and never been disappointed! Thank you for the lovely food and warm hospitality! It’s a little taste of home, always satisfying, like a warm hug from the inside! 🥰🥰

Best Wat Tan Hor in Auckland! Their yong tau fu, carrot cake, crispy noodles are all really excellent. Place is nice and airy and service is personal and very quick.

[Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken] Serving size is 706g including the container. Chicken is skin bone in chicken and the meat is very tender. Because the meat and the bone so tender, be cautious not to bite the bone pieces. Other than this, overall taste is pretty good.

Great food. Authentic. Even just walking in, you know it'll be great. Must try
