Jia was a wonderful instructor who was pleasant and careful in giving us instructions on making two dishes. A stir fried pork dish and a popular dish called Japchae. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in making traditional Korean dishes at home with very simple ingredients. I plan to return to when she can teach me how to make kimchi (traditional and white kimchi)

I had the best time learning and cooking with Chef Jia today. We made Bulgogi and Bibimbap. I learned heaps of techniques, cutting and cooking styles. If you are ever in Bukchon area, please come and visit. Thank you Jia for an amazing time!!! 💜 감사합니다

10 years ago I took several classes at Ongo and remember enjoying classes with such a sincerely warm and bright chef. Fast forward 10 years later, and the location moved but the teacher remains the same warm and wonderful person. I brought my son and we both enjoyed the class: bibimbap and jeyuk bokkum (pan fried pork and one of my favourites). I enjoyed the background history on food she gives (she has a phd in food) and the food was tasty. I highly recommend this activity if you are coming to Korea! She speaks perfect English, is so welcoming, and will speak to you in the language you prefer. You will also receive a handout on the cooking instructions in English. You can check out her Youtube (Chef Jia). I recommend booking a class as nothing beats the experience itself! It may seem a bit far but actually is close to some popular eateries, cute shops and tourist attractions and is in an area I hang out from time to time. You could go visit the nearby Blue house afterwards if you bring your foreign passport (direct entry). We will definitely be back soon!

Jia is an a kind, highly experienced and exceptional chef & teacher with a PhD background. You will learn a lot and eat delicious food. Must do activity in Seoul, awesome! It will be one of your highlights in Korea for sure!!

The class is excellent value for money, especially for beginners! I booked my spot for August 14th through Klook around 9 pm on August 13th and received confirmation soon after. Despite the last-minute booking, Chef Jia graciously accommodated me, and I ended up being the only participant that day! The class is very foreigner-friendly, as Chef Jia speaks fluent English. She’s approachable, knowledgeable, and never hesitated to answer any questions I had. Since it was just the two of us, we had some wonderful conversations during the cooking class. Chef Jia was also kind enough to join me in eating the bulgogi and bibimbap we made together. The food was absolutely delicious, and you could tell they used high-quality ingredients. She even recommended some great dessert and coffee shops nearby. I highly recommend her class and would love to come back to learn more from her!

Me and my friend had a wonderful time cooking, hearing about her life, and the history of Korean food. She speaks English well and is great on demonstrating how to make the prepared dishes. It was definitely one of our highlights visiting Seoul. We would highly, highly recommend this cooking class when you visit Seoul.

The cooking classes with Jia were fantastic - we even went back for a second class! The lessons are informative and well run with pre-portioned ingredients that makes it super easy and fun! Jia has an excellent knowledge of food and is lovely to talk with. I highly recommend as an activity in Seoul.

미국인 친구가 한국에 친구들이랑 놀러온다길래 가이드 겸 쿠킹클래스를 방문했어요! 북촌 한옥마을 근처여서 구경하다가 가기에 스튜디오 위치가 좋네요. 요리하는 공간은 딱딱하지 않고 한옥인테리어가 잘 되어있어 한국문화를 소개해주기 좋은 공간이었습니다. 직접 상추도 따보고 한식을 배워보고 먹어보기까지 가격대비 너무 좋았네요 친구들도 만족해해서 뿌듯합니다! 추천해요:)

The cooking class was an amazing time! Not only did we get a small personal class on two different Korean dishes, we learned about Korean culture and history too! It was helpful when Jia showed us how to make the dish herself first before us attempting how to make it.

This cooking class was worthwhile and fun! The recipes that Jia taught are simple and easy to bring back to the US with us. Thank you Jia for your hospitality and kindness! Would highly recommend this cooking class.

My wife and I went on a private tour with Jia and couldn't be more happy! Jia went with our flow and took us around to traditional markets where we were literally the only tourists. We gave her a list of Korean foods we've already tried and she opted to bring us to various restaurants to try new dishes (all of them we're delicious!!). On top of that, she accommodated my random requests every step of the way to try more adventurous foods such as pork intestine jap chae and even fried chicken feet. Jia offers one of the best and most tailored private food tours and this has honestly been one of the best food tours i've been on in my life. Highly recommend taking Jia's food tours!!

Had a fabulous time in Jia’s cooking class. Always great to try to cook new food. Jia’s English is excellent so no problem there and her Kitchen School is in a really lovely area with lots of light. I actually felt really relaxed while cooking the two new recipes. What’s more they were really delicious to eat once we’d finished. It was also great to chat with other travellers whilst eating. Bibimbap was my particular favourite. 너무 맛있었다. I recommend not to eat before you go as the portions weren’t small 😁

It was such a lovely experience. The class is held in a traditional Korean house and the dishes are great for beginners to make! I would highly recommend it 👌
