Penco Electric is top notch for whole house generators…. the sales rep Marion is extremely knowledgeable with the product….the installers were very respectful of my property, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional…. Penco gave me the best estimate over all my shopping around…. The office staff is just as wonderful answering any questions that I had…. HIGHLY RECOMMEND This company…. Five (5) stars.

This review does not reflect services received. Set up an appointment for an estimate/job inspection. They gave me a hour window. Waited for an hour, called the office, was assured that the technician will reach out shortly, waited another 15 minutes past appointment window. No show/no call. Punctuality and communication is important! Do better.

I had Penco install a generator for my home in Chicago. While they were very prompt and professional in the beginning, it has been over a year and I have not passed inspection. After the initial install I had a leak during the winter time. The city came out and shut my gas to the entire house off. Penco was quick to come and fix it however the permitting process has been less than ideal. I have had to stay on top of them to schedule the inspection and permitting. Once I failed the inspection they have not followed up with me and stayed on task. I constantly have to call and check in with them to make progress.

Absolutely AMAZING experience! From Paul coming out for a generator estimate (so knowledgeable and experienced) to scheduling the job (office is super easy to deal with) and the guys doing the install (they were fantastic)! City inspector came out for final inspection and said "Penco does GREAT work"!

I think it's a great product it was a little timely having it installed but they cleaned up very well after themselves they was very friendly courteous and explaining all that needed to be known about the Generac they were very knowledgeable on it and shared that with me and made sure that I was in full understanding of the Generac before they left I am happy to have this installed and now it may sound strange but I'm looking forward to the lights going out 🫣😊

Had the best experience ever with Penco! Started with Isabel in the office to the techs that showed up and took care of my electrical needs. They upgraded my service from 100A to 200A, swapped my panel from a 100A 20 breaker to a 200A 40 breaker panel, and put in a Tesla fast charger all in one work day. They price was impeccable and the clean up made it seem like they never where there. Highly recommend you call them and get the free whole house inspection they are offering. Thank you Penco!

I have been using Penco to service my generator for 12 years. So when it came time to upgrade the generator I, without hesitation, decided to contact Penco. As usual their professionalism and expertise was second to none. The work was completed as quoted and we are extremely happy with the results.Penco is the first place to go when thinking about installing or maintaining a whole house generator.

Wow! The Penco team did it all, including handling the permitting and village inspection!! They helped to get my mother's house ready to put on the market (which sold in just a few days, no doubt thanks to Penco's help with the electrical upgrades). After a thorough and valuable electrical safety inspection, Paul and Orlando helped me to identify upgrades that would add value for a new buyer. The key upgrades included a new ComEd service upgrade (from 60 amps to 200amps), new electrical panel, GFI outlets inside and outside, and lots of low profile LED lights that modernized the house. They also installed an EcoBee thermostat and replaced a door chime that wasn't working. The installation team was fantastic, especially Vasilli, who was the lead tech. The entire process was seamless and everyone on the team was friendly and professional. Thank you Penco!!

We were extremely happy and impressed in our dealings with Penco. Penco took care of all the details in preparation for the generator installation, getting the permit and contacting the gas company. Vasili and his team arrived on time with every thing they needed. The work was carried out efficiently. The crew was friendly, took the time to answer all our questions and explained their choices in running all piping. They even asked our opinion about what color paint we wanted. When they finished, they cleaned the area and then went through operation and maintenance requirements. Overall we were really happy with our decision to go with Penco.
