Working with Preferred Exteriors this summer was a great experience! I've worked with a lot of contractors over the years, and Bill and his teams are certainly near the top of the list. As the owners of a hundred plus year old home, we needed to finally make the switch to Hardie plank siding. The house has had many additions and unique lines added over the years, and it was not an easy project, including a few areas of rot repair. The crews were on time, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves. After that was done, Bill's painting team did a magnificent job! Highly recommend!

It was my pleasure helping this buyer who is moving her parents in to Battle Ground from out of town. The south side had serious problems with the Hardie Plank siding but most of the rest of the house was ok except for a few boards. As a local certified Battle Ground siding contractor, I will give my honest objective opinion on any house you are purchasing and I won't sell you what you don't need. This is unheard of in todays world but I do it because these reviews are more important to me.

Bill’s communication was outstanding as he proactively managed our siding/paint project from start to finish - even when he was on vacation! There are bound to be hiccups on any project and when we had any concerns he addressed it immediately. Bill makes your satisfaction his priority and his reviews back this up. Thank you for your kind review on my personality and inspection of the siding on the house you are looking to purchase. Because this home was fiber cement siding, and built in 2006, most people would think it's Hardie Plank but this was a product called Certanteed Weatherboards and is extremely difficult to tell the difference. I am one of the few people that went thru the out of state factory way back in 1999. Becasue of all the problems with it, Weatherboards went into a class action lawsuit that ended August of 2020. The difference in this fiber cement siding is that it cracks VERY easily and also contracts alot with weather changes leaving large unsightly gaps in the joints. I'm glad I was able to help give you pertinent info regarding your purchase.

I explained a situation I had with vents and vinyl siding. I was given pros and cons advice even though it would not necessarily result in a sale and how I could check/resolve it myself. This company took time to look out for my interests in a way that did not come across as pressuring. I would feel reasonably comfortable doing business with this company as it seems honest, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I recently purchased a home and some siding and trim damage was noted in my inspection report. I reached out to Bill, who set up time to come out to inspect the home and provide recommendations. I very much appreciate that he pointed out problem areas that should be addressed, potential items to keep an eye on that weren’t current issues but could develop into issues, as well as things that were done well with the siding/flashing work. I very much feel that he is trustworthy and knowledgeable on these matters. He also pointed out work that could probably be done by a handyman to save on expenses, which I very much appreciated. Home ownership gets to be so expensive and I really appreciate that I didn’t feel any sort of upselling at all from Bill. He took time to inspect the entire exterior of the home and identified all possible areas to address / keep an eye on. I look forward to working more with Bill!

A section above the garage of our house covered with T1-11 siding had an area that was looking poorly and we had concerns there might be dry rot. We wanted the bad area looked at and also to upgrade that section to match the board siding nearby. Preferred Exteriors was willing to do a partial house siding job. If there were any rot problems under the siding, Preferred Exteriors would be able to handle that as well. We lucked out with no rot issues and the addition of Hardie siding was completed quickly. We will be painting ourselves, but the option for painting was also given. The workers were professional and tidy. This may be the only review from a potential customer that DID NOT USE Preferred Exteriors. I called their number and the owner, Bill, answered and took down all my info and set up a convenient appointment to meet with me. He arrived on time, took measurements and plenty of pictures and explained all the “hows” and”whys” to my questions. Bill is very knowledgable and has years of experience! The only reason I could not use them at this time is that they don’t take credit cards for payment-I hope that can change in the future. So, even though I was unable to use Preferred Exteriors, I still highly recommend them!

During my search of siding and roof repair, I was fortunate to contact Preferred Exteriors and actually spoke with the owner, Bill. He was understanding of my unique situation and offered much insight and knowledge. I can tell he cares about his customers and their well being during their times of stress when it comes to water damage and repairs. He was not pushy or tried to sell me some thing I didn't need. He offered good pricing; below what the other companies offered. But at the same time, knew how to get the job done...right. I can see why his reviews are all 5 stars. I am very pleased with the results and was happy to have the rot mitigated and repaired with the Hardie siding. In your search for siding and roof repair, I highly recommend contacting them.
