Tommy and the guys were terrific in building our new family home in Vineyard Ridge. We built our home during the last stages of all the Covid supply chain disruptions, which created all kinds of delays. In addition, as anyone in the Austin-Fredericksburg area knows, demand for construction services greatly exceeds the supply. Some contractors we reached out to never returned calls or emails. Tommy went above and beyond, despite all the challenges and supply shortages. We give them a 5-star rating. Their strengths were 1) Honesty and Integrity. First and foremost, we chose them for that reason and our assessment was justified by their actions. 2) They did whatever they needed to move the project along. For example, when he could not get his regular grading crew, Tommy came out and literally did the grading himself. When the lumber company said they would have a 3 week delay in delivering our framing lumbar due to driver shortages, Tommy got a trailer, and went and drove 2 hours to get the lumbar himself. 3) Experience. We encouraged Tommy to make suggestions as we went. Many of his suggestions were super helpful, and he added a lot of value to the whole process. This comes from decades of experience. Many times we had unique problems. For example, an Italian range we ordered, when installed flush with the front countertops left a gap in the rear, so Tommy had the stone countertop people make a special cut to fit in behind it and fill the gap with a consistent look. 4) Staff were all pleasant and helpful, especially Kory, who always responded right away to any problem or issue, and handled our punch list. 5) They used high quality materials, and the home just feels quality throughout. The only downside we experienced is that they were all super busy, and at times, it might take a couple days to get a call back, so patience is required. But that was the nature of the construction industry during this time. Everyone was backed up. Overall, we are very happy and would use them again.

BCI Homes did an excellent job on our home. They are very professional, know the right contractors to use and we couldn't be happier. Their customer service is what matters to them. Everyone is friendly and helpful while getting things done timely Mr. Lipe takes pride in their craftsmanship.

BCI Custom Homes goes far beyond the base standards by using advanced insulation, equipment, and other components. They also voluntarily work to have their homes certified and labeled with the Energy Star for Homes program of the federal government. These extra efforts lead to increased comfort and lower operational costs.

Building a new custom home can be frustrating for people who don’t do it regularly. Tommy and BCI Custom Homes are a team that you can trust and make it a rewarding experience. I’ve worked with BCI Custom Homes since 2002 and in my experience he is great at giving each client the attention and the personal care that they deserve. BCI Custom Homes has been building homes in the Hill Country of Texas for decades. I believe that the firm is constantly working on improving and has met the test of time. As the only Energy Star Certified Builder I have worked with, he keeps up with the latest building science and is extremely conscientious about how operating and maintenance cost of the future are impacted by what he builds for you today. In the end, our design clients spend more time with the builder than they do with us. There are plenty of builders who start out strong, but Tommy follows through and does a great job of finishing the job.

Excellent experience. Keith was forthright, transparent, and accommodating. His process is methodical with embedded/interim checks. Additionally, we like the communication platform he uses.

Finished construction of new home in December 2018. We could not have selected a better group of people (both builder and subcontractors) to build our new home. They cared for the building of the house as if it were their own. Quality of work was exceptional. Even the third party inspector that I hired was over the moon with quality of build and level of detail that he reviewed. Would highly recommend.
