Mild taste Thought I would be getting the same plum powder as I had when I traveled to Taiwan where they dip the fruits with a bit of plum powder that really enhance the flavor of the fruits, a perfect balance between sweetness and sourness. This Rainforest Supply plum powder is very different in terms of taste and purpose. It taste tart and with a only a bit of sour. The powder can also be consumed as dietary supplement what has high fiber and vitamin C content. Some suggest to use the power as binding agent when making meatballs which I would like to try in the near future.

Depends on the flavour you are looking for I enjoyed this cacao which I use only in my coffee. I wanted a smooth, easy to stir ,no sugar and mild taste cacao . It is not as rich or bitter as other cacao powders and lighter in colorWhile I'm very satisfied with the product overall, I've rated it four stars instead of five due to the slightly higher price point compared to some other options on the market. However, considering its premium quality and the benefits it provides, I believe it's worth the investment for those who value top-notch ingredients in their culinary creations except that it is not organic if that is important to youIn conclusion, Rainforest Supply's Unsweetened Raw Cacao Powder is a fantastic addition to any kitchen, offering freshness, flavor, and nutritional benefits that elevate everyday recipes. Love this We visited Los Angeles several years ago and stayed close to a mall. One of the stores in the mall sold plum chicken and I was OBSESSED. I ate it every day we were there. I've tried over the years to find ways to duplicate that chicken and this has gotten me the closest. Really good flavor.

Delicious in yogurt and much more! I am so happy I found this plum powder! I never knew it existed!! I love the healthy benefits from using it. And it's so easy to use! Sprinkle it in your yogurt, smoothies, ice cream, water, whatever you fancy!!This product was packaged in the USA.I hope you found my review helpful!!

Sweet with decent flavor This plum powder has a decent flavor, I normally spread it on top of salad or mix it in my smoothie. It is sweet, and it tastes good with my food. The only issue I have is that it is hard to re-seal the bag because the powder always gets stuck in the sealer section.

Nice Tartness To Sprinkle on Food I am one of those peope that loves tartness. Lemon Juice etc - you name it - if it is tart I probably like it! Even sour patch kids!This 'plum' powder is quite tart and I find myself just sprinkling it on all kinds of food to add a little tartness - great to mix things up for sure

Nice filler for berry smoothies This plum powder works great to add into a fruit smoothie. It has a slight bit of tartness and really help make a delicious drink.

It's tart but hard to mix into things This bag came great and fresh but when I try to mix the plum into yogurt or water or protien drinks it clumps and gets sticky so it's kind of hard to use and absorbs water around it. It's not sweet it's tart which shows it's legit. Hard for me to figure out how to mix it to use it but probably that's just the plum properties.

Good taste This powder tastes really good and I add this powder to my morning drink. It dissolves well when I add water to my powder mix. Very healthy addition to my diet.

Nice taste of plums This plum powder tastes subtle and sweet. And it appears to be a good quality. But the price is high for a small bag.

Taste is good ! Taste is goodThis little powder is packaged in a zipper-close pouch. It increases the shelf life. I find that the powder tastes more like dried plums than fresh, sweeter plums and is quite fine. I've made a sauce with this powder and served it with rice and lentils. It is wonderful and has amazing flavor. After reading reviews from other users, I realized there are additional applications for this device. The fact that this powder is loaded with dietary fiber and vitamin C enhances the already fantastic health advantages. 4.5 out of 5 stars for this product.

Not single ingredient This product works and tastes fine. I just cannot give this a good rating because the title of the product listing insinuates it is single ingredient i.e. nothing but plum powder. It is mixed with chicory root.I personally don't care about that, but it is misleading and unfair to those that might. Again, I think the product itself is still fine and otherwise I am happy with it.

I'm just not getting the flavor I tried a heaping spoonful in my oatmeal and didn't detect any plum flavor. I tasted the powder on its own and all I got was some sweetness. I'll probably keep using it but there are other ways to get 1g of fiber 1% of some vitamins so I wouldn't get this again. In addition to plum and chicory root, may contain TREE NUTS & PEANUTS. The description should be updated with these disclosures.

Plum and Chicory blend I read through the description again just to be sure I hadn't overlooked where it stated that this product contains chicory root and I still don't see it anywhere. In fact, it claims to be "ultra pure single ingredient" which suggests only plum. So, I've included a picture of the nutritional label since this information is missing from the details and it definitely says "Ingredients: Plum, chicory root". It also discloses the potential allergens of nuts and peanuts.I wasn't entirely sure what I would use this powder for aside from adding fiber to smoothies but I went ahead and mixed some 1:1 with cold water to see what it's like on its own. It took a good bit of stirring, the powder likes to clump, but the end result was a thickened liquid that somewhat resembled prune juice in texture but the taste was more subtle and tart. Perhaps it could make a good sauce for pork or chicken if mixed 2:1.

This powder changes the game for my tofu & rice dinners, makes a delicious plum sauce -- obsessed I recently used this plum powder in my cooking, and wow, let me tell you, that flavor payoff is unreal. I’ve never used more than two tablespoons, and that packs quite a punch, delivering the sweet but tangy plum essence I was hoping to achieve. Plus, the health benefits are awesome; knowing that this powder is full of Vitamin C and dietary fiber makes me even happier about using it. Truly a game-changer to mealtime, especially if you live somewhere plums aren’t always in season – can’t always get a good plum, but this powder will always be good, and it lasts over the long term. So many ways to use this too. I LOVE IT!

Great for the skin I’m an herbalist and when I read in the description that it was good for the skin I wanted to know more and researched it. I have mixed it with my favorite skin oil shook it well each time I use it, I also mixed another grain product with it in a different jar. You can really feel it working on your skin with all the vitamins and minerals it contains. I highly recommend it for cosmetic purposes.

Plum taste Comes in a resealable bag. This plum powder is a fine powder and does taste of plums. Tastes fine on its own but does get a little bit sticky. It will probably go well in smoothies.

Barely any flavor/High in calories I was unimpressed with Rainforest Supply Plum Powder because I could hardly taste it when I tried it in plain water. Maybe I need to stir the bag a little? It was like I had to use the full power of my concentration just to notice a mild hint of plum. I used about a tablespoon in a 12 oz glass of water.I was also unimpressed to see a second ingredient when the ad said ‘single ingredient’, food should not come with surprises. Yeesh.I feel badly because I do like plums very much (especially cherry plums in the fall!!). But unfortunately this just didn’t get there flavor wise.I’d pass on this if you’re hoping to add flavor to anything. Maybe the nutritional value is what you’re seeking though but those are my thoughts.I hope my review helps you make the best choice for your needs! (:

Love The Sweet Taste I love this product. I can sprinkle the plum powder on fruit and use it for baking and smoothies. Its very lite and has a lite flavor. I love it. I love the health benefits of the plum powder.

Fine plum powder with added chicoryroot This fine powder comes in a resealable bag- the seal on mine wouldn't re-seal which is annoying, but doesn't impact the quality of the product itself. The powder is very fine and tastes more like dried plums (prunes) than fresh, sweeter plums to me. Nowhere in the product listing does it say chicory root is added as an ingredient, but it is on the label, which I think would be helpful to know.This has so many uses- it can be stirred into smoothies, oatmeal, batter for muffins/bread/etc., or even into sauces. A good way to add a little bit of flavor and fiber. Not sure about the "weight loss boost" claim in the listing, but a quality product nonetheless.
