Charming and busy post Christmas. (Feels like it’s always Christmas time there) Paula’s was packed so we ate at Solvang brewing and it was quick and kid friendly for breakfast.

It was fun, but I think it's hyped up to much by social media. We went for the Christmas vibe but the lights and stuff were not too impressive for being one of the best Christmas towns in the "country". Food want to impressive either. If you haven't come to Solvang before, it's cool to see, just don't expect to be "wow'ed" for the Christmas set up, or for the food.

First time visiting... This village is a nice place to check out. Walked around (bring comfortable walking shoes) primarily on the main street and a couple of little side streets. There's lots of places to eat and wine taste... Lots of wine tasting haha. Many wine tasting places offer food as well , and so do the inns. There are some good bakeries to try out too. Lots of people everywhere and everyone was friendly. Parking can be a little bit of a pain. There are public parking lots but they get full fast. We lucked out and found street parking right outside one of the parking lots. We got there around 230 and time went by fast. I'll definitely go back to check out the stuff I missed.

Go visit Solvang if you have not been. The family and I went on a Sunday and luckily found a parking spot. There are several parking lots. Free too! It was crowded but we enjoyed walking around for about 2 hours because we didn't stop at any store besides the bakery and the restaurant where we had lunch. The bakery was the Danish Mill Bakery. Any restaurant or bakery has a line. So just pick one. The danishes were so delicious. I also bought some really expensive chocolates there but they were worth it. The box of chocolates was $60 and each danish was around $8. I bought 8. Really worth the price. For lunch we decided to eat at Brewing Company Solvang. The food was good especially the sausage platter. They have a pool table. The prices of the food are reasonable for the area. So many places to take pictures at Solvang. So many mills and stores. There's a small park where events are held. Such a great experience to see all the architecture like walking around Denmark. We also stopped at Ostrich Land which is just about 7 minutes away. Definitely go check out Solvang.
