I just negotiated my contract with Renu Energy Solutions LLC. Evan Ferrante worked with me until we specified the system that I needed. Evan was open, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and responded quickly to my questions throughout the process. From reviews, I was able to establish that Renu is a good, reputable company. What impressed me most about the company, however, was its representative, Evan Ferrante. He is an eminently qualified professional, but more than that, he is also a person of unquestionable integrity. I received a comparable proposal from another reputable solar company that was slightly less expensive. I made my final decision to go with Renu not just on the dollar amounts, however. I ultimately decided to award the business to Renu based on my trust in Evan Ferrante and his ability to understand my needs and clearly explain the technical aspects of my investment

Evan Ferrante was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of getting solar for our remotely located house. As an Engineer, I appreciate as much facts and technical information as possible, especially over high pressured sales. Ferrante was able to answer all my questions from technical, to tax rebates, to financing vs cash. And he never pressured for a decision. We made it on our own based on lengthy discussions and a detailed proposal. I was impressed at the modeling capabilities he provided in the proposal that showed key facts that ultimately aided in our decision to go solar with battery backup over fuel powered generator options. We’re very happy with our decision to go with Renu Energy and for the help of Evan.

This is a shout out to Renu Energy Solutions. I contracted with them to have solar energy installed on my house about 2 months ago. My sales rep was Daniel Moore and I thought he did a great job - very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about his product, and went out of his way to answer all my questions - even on the weekends - and gave me the best price out of three quotes I got. In the end my house had some electrical issues - it was built in 1969 and they didn't anticipate solar energy at that time - and there was a cost to make it work. Renu went the extra mile so it would not cost me anything to get it upgraded, but I wasn't happy with what had to be done and decided not to go through with the project. Although, I went over the contractual time to cancel, Renu understood the reservations I had and processed my cancellation with no penalties or out of pocket expenses to me. That ws awesome! I think anyone who wants to get solar energy for their home should talk to Renu, and even though it wasn't right for me, I still think they are a great company with great customer service and a great product. ps - They did not solicit me for this review - just because it wasn't right for me, doesn't mean they don't deserve 5 stars

My solar not working for more than 4 month now and I keep calling but only leave the messages. After I contact the guy and he said it as soon as they figure it out. Now more than 1month still didn't fix or change anything

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with and working with Evan. He was very knowledgeable on processes and history and believe me I asked a lot of questions! He was super friendly and I really enjoyed talking with him about solar and our solar system as well as the various options out there. I appreciated how he showed me the solar offset and different costs to make sure it fit in my budget. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Evan on this project!

UPDATW #2: After speaking with Chris, I decided to move forward with Renu. It has been a pleasure working with the Renu team to get solar panels installedst my home. They have kept me informed on every step of the process, answered all my questions, and been professional and understanding. -- UPDATE #1: I spoke to Chris Berg, the senior director of sales, and he was apologetic and understanding. He was professional in answering all of my questions. This was a huge change from my initial experience, and I am glad we had the opportunity to chat. --- ORIGINAL: I've scheduled two calls using their online form to get information about cost and options when going solar. I admit, I had to reschedule the first call a few times due to work, however, I did notify them that I had to reschedule. When it was time for the actual appointment no one contacted me, nor did they communcate any reason why they did not show up. I've sent a follow up email and may update this review if they reply, however, I don't have high expectations given the lack of communication so far.

Update (reduced to 1 star): a year later and this has still not been resolved. Communication with Renu doesn’t lead to any further results. I don’t feel like there is any support for existing customers once you have your system installed. —— My system was installed by Renu in 2018. In 2023, I had my inverter fail under warranty and had no luck reaching out to Renu. I ended up getting the inverter replaced without Renu and my production data is missing because I can’t reach Renu to have the system details updated.

Great solar/battery backup install experience working with Almir and Calli.

They delivered what they promised, on schedule, on budget, with good customer service. The installation was professional with good quality of workmanship. The system has been humming along since getting quick approval for interconnection.

Mark, Justin W, Austin, Zach, Chris, Robert, Marcus, and Tyler were awesome. Said they would complete the entire install in one day and they delivered. Looks great!

The process was pretty painless from start to finish, and was much faster than I thought it would be. I literally turned on my system about a half hour ago. They answered all my questions and explained everything completely. I already have one friend talking with Renu right now, and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about it. With the federal tax credits and rebates for panels and batteries, and the PowerPair program that pays you for your batter power, there's no reason not to at least look into it.

Excellent so far! We just flipped the switch to turn our solar panel system a few days ago, and it's been a thrill to watch the "energy generated" number on our app tick up steadily. The whole process was smooth for us. The folks at Renu—especially Almir Hyseni and Megan Price—were exceptionally communicative, responsive, and clear. After receiving a whole bunch of solar proposals, we went with Renu because Almir was the straightest shooter of the bunch in explaining what exactly we could and could not do with our house. Once we decided to go with Renu, Almir walked us through the entire process so helpfully, and it was great to be able to text him with questions both big and small at any time. Once the installation process started, Megan took over and, as we had come to expect, she walked us through every step of the process and responded to my countless emails. (There were countless emails, by the way, because solar will inevitably involve county permits and Duke Energy inspections and on and on...Renu was nothing but efficient and helpful. Still, there are a lot of actors involved in this whole thing.) Long story short: we're still very new to all this, but, so far, I couldn't recommend Renu highly enough.

Navigating the solar experience with Renu was enlightening and comforting. Everyone from their design team, project management, and installation team was friendly, helpful, and professional. I appreciated their regular communication and the fact I could quickly reach them, if needed. The installation was timely and their crew was very nice. They communicated throughout the process and cleaned up the site afterwards. They were neat and took pride in their work. I would definitely work with them again.

Horrible company! First off I own several properties in different states that have solar panels installed on them. I contacted Renu energy for a system to install on one of my Charlotte properties. Of course they promised the system would reduce my monthly electric bill and they also guaranteed a certain amount of productivity. once they show me the layout, I noticed that they were going to put 14 panels on my unattached garage that was right beside my tree line in the backyard. I asked would that affect the performance of the system and was told it would still produce much more energy than I used. Well, a year later and my system under performed drastically and it didn’t do much for my monthly energy bill. I contacted the company about this and asked them why they installed the panels on my garage near the trees when I have open roof space that wasn’t beside the main set of panels and their answer was “ I don’t know why they put them there but we showed you the layout “. I asked what would be the resolution to this problem and they said “ move the panels to the clear roof opening “.I said ok and they said they were going to charge me $4000 to move them after paying 49k for my system! They wouldn’t negotiate and told me that’s that!! I encourage you people to do your research. Stay away from this company. They set me up to fail set me up to fail and there is no excuse for their actions!

From the start solar project to the end, RENU was professional and a pleasure to work with. No problems a year later. Definitely would use them again and highly recommend Renu. Ed Elion
