I've been on the waiting list and is waiting patiently, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to move there or what out place is in the list. I've been calling and leaving messages, but no one picks up or returns my calls. Last year I did get a call back from a wonderful lady, hopefully someone will call me soon

I'm homeless as of yesterday I'm waiting for my first offer letter and can't call them to get there help I have 3 kids and don't know what to do have absolutely nowhere to go I really need my first offer letter I need my place now now

Rockford housing has not lived up to the expectations I had. They allowed bullying and harassment of residents by management and did nothing to prevent property damage or racism. It would be in the best interest of Rockford to restructure public housing and hire a new administrative team. Rockford housing has taken part in the blight and continued destruction of Rockford’s west side and should be held accountable for all the families they have failed over decades

Let me say this be patient be nice these are great workers who deal with many families they do what they need to do to help us all out no matter what they are always professional they go above and beyond theyre means to make sure you get what you need my family and I will forever be thankful because without them we wouldn't have gotten anything and I love me some martha deluna she helped worked with my wife and I she's a great caseworker does her job pretty darn good very classy very professional she knows her stuff I love it here

You can't even talk to staff on the phone it make like it going to switch over. To talk to someone then hung up. How someone going to talk with y'all don't answer y'all phone call and another thing y'all down for resident I don't live out there ......

I've been on the section 8 waitlist in Rockford Illinois for around five years I was elected off of the waitlist last year in 2022 I do not stay in Rockford Illinois I live three and a half hours away from Rockford therefore I have to spend money that could be spent on things that my child need since we need flexible housing I had no choice but to spend money on gas to get Rockford plus they do not accommodate families that stay out of town anyway I drove all the way to rock for 3 hours and a half I had to make multiple arrangements to get there for my formal application ........just to get home and be told three weeks later that I was placed back on the waiting list for not having enough points but I did not lose my spot on the list so just recently I was selected again from the wait list......once again I drove 3 hours and a half to Rockford housing authority for a formal application this time I have a job ......... I get all the way home call them to make sure they had everything that they needed to be told I was selected off the waitlist in error I can't let that stand this is the type of toxicity that's being spread around our communities to families that are in need I have priorities I missed work just for the appointment that they sent me to make matter worst when I get home I had another letter in my mailbox from them with a different appointment date..... (This for section 8) I call them about the appointment when it came they never mentioned a error to me

The staff I'M working with is GREAT. Currently in LDI class. Only inquiring minds are informed of certain programs. Ask alot of questions. Be patient with them. They deal with alot of people. You're not the only person on or trying to get housing. Utilize this place to come up. Rockford Housing Authority has been great to me. My case worker is awesome too. Get to kno them.

I'm currently on the phone waiting for someone to pick up. The receptionist answered the phone quickly, told her what I needed, quickly put me on hold and have been on hold for the last 20 minutes with the phone ringing and no answer at all.
