My extended family has been seeing Dr. Chin for years. Our experience is consistently excellent: thorough exams, good explanations, and superb customer service. Any concerns with eyewear or eye health are dealt with immediately. A really pleasant office to walk into!

Just had such a great experience. Haven’t had my eyes checked in a while and decided to get an update. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the doctor took the time to explain everything he was doing and why and answered all my questions with clarity and without being condescending (often not my experience these days…). I woke up Christmas morning with some mild pain and swelling in one of my eyes. Was not too worried about it and grabbed some eyedrops from the pharmacy on boxing day. By the night of the 27th the swelling was significant. Called Saanich Optometry at 9 a.m. to ask about an emergency appointment. (last thing I wanted to do was sit in emergency all day, but I would have) They were able to get me in at 11:15. The staff and doctor were amazing. A thorough eye exam was completed, and the issue diagnosed. They sent me home with some homework and a follow up appointment. I highly recommend this office.

I have been a patient with Dr. Chin for over 20 years. He is hands down the best optometrist in Victoria! Dr.Chin is very knowledgeable, experienced, has excellent communication, kind and adds just enough humor to visits. He is also excellent with my kids (now teenagers). Saanich optometry staff are lovely , professional and efficient.

I habe been a client of Saanich Optometry for 12 years. The office is very well managed and staffed with professional people that provide excellent customer service. The office has the most up to date equipment and knowledgeable and caeing technicians. Dr. Tao is an excellent optometrist. She is extremely thorough in her eye exam, efficient and does not mind to answer any questions the patient might have. Lastly, the office has a wide variety of fashionable and also more conservative frames. I have always bought my frames at this office and often received compliments for their great styles!

I have been going to Dr Chin for about 15 years now and I can't say enough good things about him. He found what could have been a very serious medical condition because he is so thorough and diligent. Thank goodness I'm fine but his care and professionalism will never be forgotten. He's always so kind and all his staff are amazing. Please take care of your eyes and go see Dr Chin!
