We love say it once! Hannah is an amazing dog trainer! She has helped us with our husky mix, Louie with his problem behaviors and taught us how to train in him to become the dog we’ve always dreamed he could be!

We had our first session with Erin today. It was incredible! She is so knowledgeable and a great teacher. She took the time to discuss what my goals are for my puppy and helped me understand age appropriate expectations. Loved working with her and look forward to continuing our training together!

Vinnie is amazing with dogs. He teaches dogs and humans both and makes you & your dog the perfect pair. Be prepared to put the work in!

We reached out to Say it Once, once our dog started to become aggressive and reactive towards humans. We were in need of someone to come into our home and help us get certain behaviors under control. Michelle was our trainer. She not only taught our dog, but she taught us as well. She is very knowledgeable and good at explaining. Michelle gave us skills to work on after she left and provided us with helpful videos. She also checked in on us between trainings to see how things were going and to answer any questions we had. We saw major changes in our dog almost instantly after our first session. In addition to private session, Michelle encouraged us to attend group sessions, where she helped us and our dog get comfortable around others. I would highly recommend Say it Once and Michelle to anyone who is thinking about training. It is definitely worth the time and money!

We started working with Josh at Say it Once for our dog, Crash, after trying every self-taught method we could find. Crash was extremely leash reactive, and walking him was very stressful since seeing a dog within a block of us would result in barking and spinning on the leash. Josh worked with us on understanding why Crash acts the way he does, learning how some of the ways we were trying to stop this behavior were actually just reinforcing it, and teaching us what we need to do to better work with Crash. Josh taught us some ways to better play with our pup in a way that aligns with his instincts and needs, and how this can help us and Crash better communicate with each other. We also learned how to use this improved communication to snap Crash out of his reactivity before it escalates, and then to work with him towards less reactivity for the next encounter. We still have work to do, but the difference Josh has made is nothing short of a miracle and the confidence it has given us to take Crash on longer walks and hikes is a self-improving cycle. He gave us our little buddy back! We look forward to continuing to work with Josh in the future both on furthering Crash's progress and learning fun new skills!

We had an excellent experience with Josh from Say It Once. He was great at explaining why dogs do certain behaviors, and the best ways to work with our dog to get on the same team for better results. Not only have we improved manners in the house, but we’re able to feel confident having our little buddy with us in our walkable community again. My only regret is not reaching out sooner. We hired Michelle McGraw a couple months ago to help with our 5 years young bernedoodle, Sam. He needed some behavioral help and support. Michelle came to our home and immediately put Sam to work and gave us work to do too. In one short month we’re already seeing HUGE improvements. Sam loves to work!! Consistently is critical to his success, which honestly that’s the easy part. My husband and I love seeing how happy Sam is when he gets to work and please us, it’s truly gratifying. The next step was for me, Sam’s owner, I needed to build confidence around other dogs. Michelle invited us to a group class, it was exactly what I needed. I’m much more relaxed now and my confidence is building too. We look forward to these group sessions!!

I want to thank Say It Once Dog Training. My mom recently passed away unexpectedly and situations changed and we became caretaker to my mom's Maltese. If it weren't for the training already in progress with my 180+lbs mastiff and the group classes where she has improved with interactions with other little dogs, this wouldn't have even been possible as she was over excited/escalated with movement of small animals. We're still adjusting but thank you for the training you've helped us give our mastiff to make it possible to care for my mom's little girl.

I was extremely pleased with the training session I had with Josh. My dog Zoey is responding very well. I would highly reccomend Josh to anyone looking for a dog trainer!!!

Michelle is AWESOME!!! This is the first time I've used a trainer. She made sure that I understood everything she went over with me. Joy (my dog) and I just started but I know in time we will both be much happier!

After training with Rachel through say it once dog training my dog more confident on walks and so am I! Before our two training sessions, Zelda pulled on walks, lurched and barked at other dogs and made the experience stressful for the both of us. She loves walks and so do I but we both just weren’t sure how to go about them. Rachel completely turned our stressful walks into enjoyable ones! Rachel taught us easy and quick commands to be in control during our walks. Rachel was amazing with Zelda and she really listened to our needs and wants as an individual family! Zelda now walks like a completely different dog; walking past other dogs while paying more attention to her commands then them, staying right next to me and not pulling and listening to all the commands I have for her in a busy distracted park! Taking these training classes from Rachel has given Zelda a purpose on a walk and given me the knowledge of what to do in different situations and how to take control of a reactive dog like Zelda! Thank you again, Rachel . We are so grateful for your knowledge and can’t wait to work with you again!!

Michelle was Bells trainer, from a neighbor’s recommendation, & she was awesome!! Michelle was very patient with me & Bells. She explained everything thoroughly & made sure it made sense to me. She did a great job of demonstrating & then helped me do it. Michelle followed up with texts & helpful videos! Bells is only 5 months but she is ahead of the game with this training! I would highly recommend Michelle!!

Like many others, I ended up with a Covid dog in 2020. Although I’d grown up on a farm, having a dog in an urban/suburban area was a new challenge. I found Vinny’s training on YouTube, because we did not live in the Pittsburgh area, and trained my 8-month old dog through all of Vinny’s early videos! Fast forward a couple years and Say It Once expanded to DC so I quickly booked a session with Autumn. The price point was perfect for our budget and it was so helpful to have Autumn come to our home and initiate in-house training. My dog responded super well to the say it once methods. We continue to attend group classes and have scheduled an in-home follow up again this fall. I’ve been able to carryover the training methods myself and Autumn has been there over the phone for any questions! I can’t say enough good things about Say It Once. Vinny and his team are honest and effective!

Michelle and Vinnie have helped me get Geno to a place I never thought possible Off leash Obedient And ready for therapy dog training! I could not be more pleased with their help and support I have used several other trainers and Say it Once is definitely the Best!

Michelle was our-dog trainer and was awesome!! The dogs loved her and she was an amazing teacher for me and the dogs. The dogs are so much more trained with her guidance and advice. I just recently had my first class with Michelle and it was the most informative class I think I’ve ever attended. She spent a lot of time assessing my dog’s specific needs and walked me through multiple exercises and training plans during the class. I feel very confident that my dog’s reactivity is being addressed and fixed and am looking forward to the journey with Say it Once!

Josh has been working with me and my dog Fiona since January. He has been a tremendous help in helping me train my very energetic puppy! He is very clear in his directions and sets manageable goals for us to work on. He has been helpful with finding the best training tools and how to effectively use them.
