Alright. This has been a journey. My most recent teacher, Francisco, is great. He is an incredible musician and a patient teacher - he helped me figure out a version of learning that would work for my busy schedule and I have made a ton of modifications to my form that have helped make me a better player. My previous frustrated review had to do with seeing multiple less-talented teachers in a row. I had given up on the place, despite the convenient location, and it took me awhile to come back. I'm glad I gave it one more shot. Ask to work with a few teachers before you choose one. I got one who was a good player and an awful teacher and one who was a mediocre player and an okay teacher. Took another try to find someone who could do both. Landing on 4 stars because this journey was frustrating, but I'm happy I found someone good!

What can I say about this great place besides book your lessons now!! After completing my first community theater musical I got bit by the singing bug and wanted somewhere to continue to expand musically. Thankfully I found the perfect place with Cardon Studios here in DC. The admin team led by Katherine L. made the starting process easy & efficient, answering any questions I had and providing flexibility with my ever changing schedule. Thanks Katherine My voice teacher Hannah Baslee was the best! Words can't describe how helpful her and her lessons have been in helping me to find my voice and sing with confidence. Lessons started with vocal warm ups followed by song practice, revisions and experimentations to create sweet sounding music. Hannah was patient with me as I changed the song I wanted to work on almost every week until finding the right one. Sheet music was provided in the right key to suit your voice in paper format but also for your personal usage through their online database. In addition to the great staff they have a relaxing lounge with complimentary coffee & water. In addition a bulletin board with upcoming events, student of the month and more. Did I mention the bathroom is always clean (that's important)! Lastly Cardon provides masterclasses to perfect your sound and showcases to sing to the masses. Overall great studio, friendly & helpful staff and great location. I'll be sure to stop by when I'm back in DC and in need of a voice tune-up. At Cardon Studios, I learned how to sing Italian arias from the 18th and 19th centuries under the tutelage of a professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable, patient instructor. I also received instruction on how to hone performance skills. I am so grateful and appreciative of all the teachers and the management at Cardon Studios for welcoming me to a larger community of DC musicians. If you're seeking a fun time or a deeper learning experience - or both simultaneously - this is your music school!

I have loved my experience at Cardon Studios! The teachers are incredibly friendly and there are lots of opportunities to perform (student showcases) and/or develop your voice (master classes) outside of the lessons.

A great blend of music theory, practice, clear explanation, and simple teaching methods to understand how to play bass. I'd played a little in the past, but only saw rapid improvement after taking lessons with Kevin!

I currently take guitar lessons from Kevin Henrickson, I have tried guitar lessons two or three times before with other studios, this is the only time it has really stuck for me. Kevin loves what he does and it really shows everytime you interact with him. I would definitely recommend him, highly!!

I took guitar lessons with Kevin Henrickson for over half a year. He is a superb teacher and i loved him, very nice and instructive. Kevin is a great guitar player and most importantly a very experienced teacher who had been teaching for 30 years, I highly recommend his classes in particular. Also Cardon Studios is very flexible in terms of scheduling classes. I have to move my class at the last minutes for several times and they had done a great job accommodate my needs. The location of the studio is convenient for anyone lives around northern part of DC metropolitan area.

Please Review- These sessions with Tanya have been unreal, amazing, interactive and full of utter knowledge and discovery! When I started my sessions I felt like I had serious issues with my voice like vocal nodules or I popped a chord due to the last coach. However, Tanya changed and Continues to change my way of thinking about music and overall knowledge base with her enchanting voice, intelligence, uncanny metaphors and sense of humor. I started with her having doubts and not knowing why my voice was wobbly as the game Tumble and why I couldnt project if my life depended on. It is now going on Lesson 6 and she has done the following to me- 1. Gotten my voice to become even with Vibrato in most registers 2. I Speak and Sing with Support and in Full Voice 3. Has My Air and Breathing Flowing 4. Sing on Rythm 5. Can Sing down to F#2! Additionally, she is doing some wonderful things to my Tenor voice- 1. It is Lesson 6 and I am Already Practicing in Tenor High C in Full Voice!!!!(Hold Your Appause until the End) 2. I am trying to do singing Full Time/Professionally so with rehearsing my Voc Lessons and performing a Song- My Coworker put me in contact with a MusicPR!!!!(Wait There's More) 3. I am a Mutant/Freak of Nature-I was listening to Mariah Carey Dream Lover and I produced a C7(The Introduction Note) and as I told Tanya that none of Me but her vocal lessons. I just got so excited whIle practing and then turned on Pandora and I heard that song and just did it! Tanya stated she will assist me in developing this extremity of my voice which makes me adore and want to continue to learn and be guided by her even more. She's amazing! So with all this being stated- Take a bow Tanya! You deserve it!!!

Even with years of 'choral' instruction under my belt, I received excellent instruction from Seana. In addition to being an excellent instructor, she's also incredibly nice. I've started my voice and piano lessons this summer. I had some music training before so I wanted to brush up my skills. I'm very grateful to my instructor Tanya- she keeps me motivated and I always walk out the lesson with something new to work on. Her lessons are diverse and fun. And most importantly I can see improvement in my skills. I highly recommend this school.

I have been extremely pleased with Cardon studios so far. I have only been taking lessons for 7 months and have experienced a vast improvement in my voice during my vocal lessons. Josh had been fantastic with his constructive instructions, witty humour and overall comfortable atmosphere he creates. Cardon studios offers the opportunity for students to perform twice a year which is exciting and also gives the student something to work towards and look forward to if you wish to participate. I look forward to the Christmas recital! Thanks Cardon for always being professional and fun :)
