We're delighted with our Shields garden room. Great care was taken helping us to clarify what we wanted, all staff were unfailingly attentive, dates and times were always met, the building itself is just right and it was a pleasure throughout dealing with everyone at Shields. I've no hesitation at all in whole heartedly recommending them.

Superb people to deal with and the quality of the building I had erected was excellent. Very competent friendly staff that did all the work.

We had our new shed installed on 14th October and can honestly say what a pleasure it has been dealing with Shields Buildings. Paul came out to see us several times for various reasons and was always very friendly and helpful. We were kept updated throughout and would have no hesitation in recommending Shields Buildings to anyone considering buying a shed or any outdoor building.

From start to finish my experience with SHIELDS was excellent. Communication & design advice from Paul was very positive & reassuring. The “shed” has exceeded my expectations with quality & functionality. The team that built it were professional, courteous & tidy. Huge thanks to all of the team!

One of my customers had a Shield Shed, and i was impressed with the Build quality. We made contact with Shields and visited their site at North Tawton. We were very impressed looking at the range of buildings in the flesh and this made our decision process much easier. Nothing was to much trouble, Paul Gent looked after us throughout our visit. We had a delay at our end, but this was not an issue. A date was confirmed and three great chaps arrived with a massive amount of timber, tools, and constructed our shed. They were very professional from start to finish, polite and courteous. They ran through everything i needed to know about the after care etc., and left the site spotlessly clean. I had a Zero installed a couple of weeks ago. So far it is everything I expected and the construction went as I was told it would.

For almost a decade, I planned to have a Car Port next to my Garage; I chose John Shields Buildings & I am so glad I did! They sent out a Surveyor, then shortly after a team of 3 Installers. Within 3 days they had completed my Oak Double Car Port. They worked well as a team; were polite; punctual; knowledgeable & professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better crew. The result was an outstanding Car port, which was extremely well designed; made & Constructed. Thank you John Shields Buildings for providing a fantastic building which has added to the value of my property.

It was a big decision for us to replace an old garden shed with a garden room. From the first visit to the farm I was reassured that it was the right decision. The planning and site visits went smoothly and the build was completed within weeks. The quality of the building is outstanding, I was impressed by the expertise of the workmen, they were courteous, efficient and worked so hard. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to create a fantastic outdoor space.

The process of choosing my garden room to completion was seamless,Shields kept me informed throughout and the installation team were amazing in their attention to detail in getting everything just right as well as being very polite and friendly. I can’t recommend Shields enough as the garden room exceeded my expectations and is admired by all that see.it. The Zero garden room is a must for anyone who wants quality without planning and maintenance.

So glad we made the decision to buy Paulines She Shed from Shields. It’s a solid piece of construction that will stand for a long time. We went for the 12 x 8 shed and had a local guy in to do the base. All in all a great investment. Paulines well made up too which is the best feedback of all.

We are really pleased with our new shed. Communication with Shields was regular and we were kept informed of progress and timings. Clearly not the cheapest, but the build quality is second to none and it will last a life time. The build team were excellent, tidy efficient and on time.

I have had my shed from this wonderful company for three years now. The design and fitting were exceptionally well done and I am really pleased with the product and the company. Their customer service is second to none and their communications promptly and politely done. I had a couple of difficulties with the upvc door caused by the south-facing aspect and particularly hot weather but these were very quickly and efficiently dealt with even though I live some distance away from Shields Buildings. Follow-up advice is readily given and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who values good, old-fashioned, customer based service.

When we needed a garden building, I found Shields online and liked that they're a local company. I made contact and we were invited to visit their display area. John met us there and took time to answer all our questions. Satisfied with the quality and the price, we then had a site visit from Paul, who took great care to ensure that we would get the building we needed. We are on a sloping site, so it wasn't going to be easy! Paul reassured us it would be fine and then kept in regular contact throughout. The team were all friendly and professional, and again, took care to ensure we were happy at each stage of the build. We now have a lovely garden building, which will adapt to different uses over the coming years. We would definitely recommend Shields to anyone considering a garden building.

Apologies for the delay in providing this review. The team designed, produced and installed an amazing timber framed building which we turned into an annex for my mother. Service was great kept well inform and the team who installed it were great and very polite and respectful. If your in two minds whether or not this company is for you I would highly recommend. Great work guys.

Shields provided a quality service within the specified time frame. I needed a workshop that would make the most of a specific space. Shields designed and built the shed and exceeded my expectations. It was good quality throughout. The fact that it cost more than our first house is more an indication of how old I am!!

This is our second Shields building and on both occasions from order to finish the service has been superb. On this occasion the build team worked their socks off in ridiculous September temperatures to finish the job to a very high standard.

We had an excellent experience working with Shields on a carport project at our property in Somerset. The company was extremely helpful in providing all the necessary information before work got under way on site. The look, design and quality of the finished project are superb. We love the "shield" finials! The oak frontage was just the right option for us too. The team who put the building up were also top notch, carrying on work even when the weather was atrocious and working very well to a tight timescale. Paul did a site visit which helped bring all the moving parts together and generally supported us most helpfully throughout the process. Looking at ways to work with Shields again in the future!

We are very pleased with our double garage. Shields buildings made the whole process very easy, from the planning process right through to the completion of the garage. The skilled workforce only took two days from start to finish, were very friendly and cleaned up everything afterwards. The building itself is very strong and pleasing to the eye, it's exactly what we asked for, and we would definitely recommend Shields buildings to anyone who wanted this sort building.
