I’ve worked with Kim multiple times- my daughter is 2 years old now and has always been not the best sleeper. Kim has the best advice for each stage in their development with straight forward instructions while also being gentle! I was feeling pretty defeated with my stubborn toddler but she has given me hope!
Thank you, Jenna, for sharing your positive experience with Kim. We're thrilled to hear that her guidance has made a difference for you and your daughter. Your words may encourage others seeking support for their children's sleep issues.

With Kim’s sleep plan, our son has been sleeping through the night since 4 months old (now almost two years old!) Even better than a full night’s sleep is that he goes down independently and mostly always without a peep!
Emily, we're thrilled to hear about your son's amazing progress with Kim's sleep plan! It's wonderful knowing he's developed such great independent sleep habits. Sleep is indeed precious, and we're glad to have been part of your journey.

Last response to owners edited response:
I canceled the first time before ever starting with Kim, not due to second thoughts, it was due to hurricane Helene literally decimating our city of Asheville and causing us to lose power (a way to zoom), cell service (contact) and water for 19 days, as well as depleting our resources.
Edit to respond to owners response:
I am speaking to the fact that your method is to not touch, pick up, or feed unless he cries for over an hour. I’m not reviewing the fact that I CHOSE to comfort him. When I told you the next day that I fed him between 12-3 as noted as allowed in your pdf, and I had my hand on his side to comfort him during a wake up while he was wailing until he fell asleep, you told me, because I did do those two things, that would be considered a “practice night” and not night 1 of sleep training. Hence reiterating that your method is to not touch, not feed, not pick up unless crying for over an hour.
The biggest take away of this is I understand that some methods work for some babies and not for others — but I spent TWO of the paid for fourteen days of sleep training in very mild contact (one texted question a day and/or one texted update of the night) with you before I opted out of your service, I even did the math in text and offered to pay for those two days that went by. I was expecting much more professionalism and grace since 95% of the second half of payment was not used past the zoom call. You are the sole owner of your company, you are not one person under a larger corporation. Your hands are not tied here. Refusing to refund what was not used when it comes to a desperate family that was trying to find the right help with their baby is very bad business. Contract signed or not.
Original Review:
I did not feel like her method was helpful for my 7.5 month old, if anything her plan made his sleep so much worse and caused him to be traumatized about bedtime and his crib.
Her method was the “chair method” which is basically letting him cry it out while you sit next to the crib and verbally support, no picking up no touching. He cried for 1 hour minimum for 3 nights before passing out from exhaustion. All while I sit there and do nothing but speak to him. When he would wake again throughout the night I was advised to do the same thing again to which he would end up falling back to sleep from crying exhaustion. This did not get better and he began to have anxiety about his room and bedtime.
The zoom call did not cover any specificities regarding my son, we just read over an already made pdf that was edited here and there to accommodate my son’s age, and had small talk. I do not feel like there was any digging into what might be causing his wakings throughout the night, just a general plan tailored to any baby his age. That was my first red flag and I should have paid attention to my gut. When I asked her a question during the process she left me voice notes that were long and drawn out and really did not give me any useful information, only reiterating what was written in the pdf and just repeating herself a couple times in the same voice note, telling me sleep training is hard.
I asked for a refund of half of the payment as I barely used her services after the zoom call, which I was refused. It was $500 wasted. I was very much expecting to have more of a sleep “specialist” really dig in and get to the bottom of my son’s issues, ask important questions about his health, possible road blocks, etc., and draw up a plan made specially for his temperament, health, and sleep patterns. I expected someone more knowledgeable about possible underlying problems/conditions to help me figure him out. Instead I paid all that money for a basic support person/rally friend to simply agree that it’s hard to sleep train and tell me I can do this. She offered to give me another option for training after I told her I wanted out but I was so turned off by the basic nature of this service that I did not want to continue with her. Very disappointed.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all reviews seriously and strive to provide the best service to our clients. However, some statements in this review do not align with our records or experiences. We would be happy to discuss your concerns further to clarify any misunderstanding of our sleep plans, recommendations, and your refund.
To clarify the false statements:
1) Sleeping Well Consulting does not require parents to wait one hour before picking up, touching, or offering a night feed. As mentioned in this review, a night feed was written into the sleep plan. Therefore, the night feed was not an issue. Furthermore, it would not only be a liability, but wrong on every level if we demanded parents wait one hour before touching or picking up their child. A case in point is a baby who cannot roll both directions because the child could roll to belly and become stuck face down if not assisted.
2) The client failed to mention in her review that she co-slept on the sofa with her baby the first night of sleep training. This, along with putting him to sleep (by keeping a hand on him) on the first night is why we warned her that her baby might cry more on nights to come. To help this client feel that it’s normal to make mistakes like this in the beginning, we told her that she could think of Night One as a “transition night,” and together we celebrated the success of her child sleeping longer stretches in the crib, which was a huge accomplishment. After the first night, this client said she was happy with progress and would keep going, even though the crying made her sad. We explained the cause of possible increased crying: intermittent reinforcement, or mixed messages, and how it’s especially difficult for an older baby to be expected to contact-sleep on one occasion and be made to put himself to sleep other times. It’s a recipe for increased crying. Knowing this, we thought it would empower her to know what to expect as she got back on track.
3) During the Zoom meeting, we talked about how parent-led sleep associations or sleep props and intermittent reinforcement were causing her child’s night waking. There is a page in the sleep plan dedicated to explaining these specific causes. After the Zoom meeting, the client texted again to ask about the specific causes of her child’s night waking, and we responded with several pages of text about how parent-led sleep associations, sleep props, and intermittent reinforcement were causing her child’s night waking. She responded graciously, thanking us immensely.
4) This client texted after her first night of sleep training and let us know that it took her child 45 minutes to fall asleep at bedtime. He had one waking for 15 minutes that night. The next night, she said that he cried more and that she was stopping sleep training. She did not record any data, so we don’t know if he cried for an hour. She didn’t have a third night, or if she did, she didn’t tell us about it. We left pages and pages of texts for this client and many voice messages. We called her and she did not answer or call us back. She was unresponsive to our communication after the second night. From this review, we have now come to learn that she greatly misunderstood the plan and recommendations. She only texted a few times, but we left many texts and voice messages explaining how to get back on track, why things happen the way they do, and what to expect. We are saddened to hear that she did not find our education and information helpful, for we truly believe that her child would be sleeping, and she would be happy, if she had followed the sleep plan, recommendations, and stayed in communication.
5) When the hurricane hit before she began support, she was refunded in full. When she canceled after beginning support, she was again compensated.
We hope that we have clarified the misunderstandings around this situation. Please reach out to us and we will be happy to talk more.

I thought it was impossible to sleep train our parent dependent child. We fell into the trap of co-sleeping and assistance sleep. We where constantly bouncing her on the medicine ball to help her sleep, feed 3-4 times at night to help our daughter sleep and where patting her to sleep if she would get restless at night. Kim's program was very detailed and she talked us through any issues we where having. At the start of the program I was sure that we would not be able to do this and that our then 9 month old would not sleep without her night feeds or assistance sleeping. With Kim's guidance and help through the process our now 10 month old is thriving and she sleeps 10 hours at night. Thank you Kim for your patience and guidance, we could not have gotten to where we are today with out your help. If you are hesitant about trying Kim's program, this is your sign to GO FOR IT!! You will not be disappointed.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Nancy! We're thrilled to hear how Kim's program has helped. It's amazing that your little one is thriving and sleeping well. Your story could inspire others facing similar challenges.

Kim was incredible! She was so patient and compassionate with me and my daughter. Very responsive and helpful too. I almost quit after night one because my baby cried for so long and she encouraged me to stick with the plan and I’m 10 days my daughter was sleeping through the night with no wakes. I’m looking forward to working with her in the future
Thank you, Alison! We're delighted to hear that Kim made such a positive impact on your experience. Your perseverance has truly paid off, and we're excited to continue supporting you and your daughter.

Kim did a phenomenal job teaching me how to help my 10 month old girl to sleep through the night. The key for me was following her directions precisely.
Thank you, Hope! We're delighted Kim was able to guide you effectively. Following tailored directions can indeed make a big difference. Wishing you and your little one restful nights ahead!

Kim truly was a godsend for my daughter and our family. We had sleep issues from about four months on with our daughter that got so bad we eventually fell into the trap of co-sleeping and then were unable to break that pattern. The result was zero time for my husband and I since the baby would not sleep on her own and very broken and little sleep for us all. When my daughter was around 14 months, and with another baby on the way, we knew something had to change. We had tried Taking Cara Babies and the Ferber Method and nothing seemed to work for us. Our pediatrician recommended Kim and we reached out right away. Kim developed a very detailed plan specifically catered to our daughter and her needs. Not going to lie, night one was an absolute disaster but Kim quickly formulated a strategy and we tried again the next night. It took us a couple of weeks to truly find our groove but around day 10, it clicked for her and she has been sleeping through the night in her own room ever since. We would have never been able to accomplish this on our own without Kim's guidance, support and accountability along the way. Our daughter now goes down nearly every night within 5 minutes and most of the time she is happy to go sleep and excitedly tells us goodnight. The outcome was a well rested child and and a beyond grateful mom and dad. My husband and I now have time to spend together every night after she goes down and most mornings are able to get a workout in before she wakes. Our new arrival will be here in just 7 weeks and we know that thanks to Kim, we will be so much more equipped this next go around. Don't hesitate to hire Kim, I promise you, you won't regret it.
Ashley, we're thrilled to hear about the positive change in your family's sleep routine. It's wonderful that Kim’s tailored approach made such a difference. Wishing you all the best with your new arrival! Thank you for sharing your experience.

Kim helped us when we were desperate to figure out how to get our 1 year old to sleep alone through the night. We didn’t like the cry it out method and her methods were the gentle effective plan we were looking for. I constantly recommend her to any parents struggling with sleep and trust me when I say her methods absolutely work. Within 3 nights our baby was lying down and just falling asleep on his own, and not waking until morning. Can’t recommend Kim enough!!
Thank you, J H! We're thrilled to hear that Kim’s gentle methods have worked wonders for your family. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we're glad to have made a positive impact on your baby's sleep routine.

Kim is an outstanding sleep coach who guided us through the gentle sleep training of our 16-month-old. Sleep training can be challenging, but having Kim’s support made all the difference. Julian, thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear Kim provided such valuable support during your sleep training journey. We're here for you anytime you need assistance in the future.

When we started with Kim, we had a 4 and half month old that was trying to be 2 weeks again and eat 6-8 of her ounces at night. Kim was so great at helping us see where we had quite unintentionally been reinforcing some things. I love how informed she was but wasn't condescending to what we felt comfortable with either. Then, with a very detailed plan and her support, our little was SUPER quickly sleeping from 7:30-6:30/7am. She's now 7 months and it's still going well. She naps well, eats well (during the day) and sleeps great. Highly recommend Kim.
Carey, thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear how much Kim's support helped your little one sleep better. Your experience is encouraging, and we appreciate your recommendation. Wishing you continued success and restful nights!

We were both hesitant and doubtful about sleep training our very wakeful 19mo. She was waking 7-14 times a night and I never thought sleeping through the night was a possibility. I chose to work with Kim because her gentle approach as well as a similar parenting philosophy. Kim helped us feel confident in our decision to sleep train and capable in the process. And it was so much easier than I could have ever thought. Our little one was sleeping through the night by night three and there was hardly any crying. 6 months later we still have a little one that sleeps great through the night, so grateful. Highly recommend Kim.
Thank you, Brittany! We're thrilled to hear that Kim's gentle approach and guidance helped your little one sleep through the night. Your story is inspiring, and we're so glad to have been part of your journey.

When our second child got to 7th months old, he still was not sleeping through the night and had trouble going to bed without me holding him until he was asleep. Kim had been recommended and at our first call, I immediately felt at ease. Her survey asked great questions and our calls together helped us form a plan that my husband and I stuck to. While it was hard to hear our son cry, we were able to get him to sleep with some comfort. The check-ins with Kim reassured me that we were doing the right thing and we saw progress after just three nights.
In a week, our son was going to bed with just a minute or two of soft cries, and no longer woke up at 2 am wanting to play. His naps became easier, too and he was well adjusted to his routine and crib in his own room.
Kim was thoughtful, listened and was caring and empathetic as an accountabilty partner in this sleep journey. I would strongy recommend Sleeping Well Consulting for anyone who needs sleep and wants to get their baby or child on a good sleep pattern.
Thank you, Jenna, for sharing your wonderful experience. We're thrilled to hear that Kim helped your son achieve better sleep. Your recommendation and kind words mean a lot to us. Wishing your family continued restful nights!

As a new parent, the single hardest struggle is getting enough sleep to feel like a human. When we found Kim we had tried multiple strategies for getting our newborn to sleep and it was rather frustrating to find most things don’t work. Luckily she was able to set us on the right path after hearing our unique situation and within a few weeks our daughter was sleeping much better. The stratagies she uses are very logical, but the best part is having someone who’s not running on 3 hours of sleep helping to guide you to make the right decisions.
Thank you, Cory, for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that Kim could help your family find a better sleep solution. Your kind words mean a lot to us!

Kim was s THE best!! If I could giver her 10 stars, I would. She helped us with our son and it was a true game changer. He went from only contact sleeping (which had me in a constant zombie state with a very sore back) to going to sleep on his own in less than a week. He now sleeps 10-12 hours at night and takes a 2.5 hour nap each day. We are beyond happy.
Kim was incredibly accessible during the process. She developed a personalized plan catered to us and our son that worked like a charm. I could not be more satisfied and would recommend Sleep Well Consulting to every parent I know!
Thank you, TasmanandDan! We're thrilled to hear that Kim made such a positive impact for your family. Your feedback means the world to us and we’re so glad to know your son is sleeping well!

Kim helped our family navigate a challenging transition with experience, intelligence, compassion and grace. When we started working with her, I had been co-sleeping and nursing on demand throughout the night with our 18 month old since he was two months old. I didn't regret those 16 months, but I was ready for a change. Kim was able to guide us through the process of helping our son learn to put himself to sleep and then sleep through the night in his own crib. She was also extremely sensitive to and understanding of all of the difficult emotions that this change brought up for me. Her guidance throughout the process helped me move through those emotions to grow as a person and a parent. I am grateful for that evolution - and also for the fact that everyone in our family is getting better rest! Thank you, Kim.
Thank you, Sarah! We're thrilled to hear that Kim's guidance has positively impacted your family's sleep and growth. It's wonderful to know you're all getting better rest now. Your kind words mean a lot to us!

I loved working with Kim to get our 4 year old back on track with a solid sleep routine! It was worth every penny. She is very detailed, but would not recommend getting just the basic package with the plan. You really need the support package to make it work in my opinion. I was in constant communication with her daily for weeks to make sure that we were responding correctly to different situations that came up with our toddler who pushes boundaries to the max! Sleep Well Consulting is a game changer if you’re struggling with getting your little ones to sleep and staying in bed all night!

Kim is the BEST!! When they say it takes a village, Kim is part of my village. As a mom of two, I’ve needed help with both the baby stage (3 months) and toddler stage. She’s been an incredible resource for my ongoing questions and I’m so grateful to have used her services. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner 😂 thank you Kim!!!
