My wife is receiving treatment here. The care is fine, I guess. I really don't have any comparison as we've been under their care for the past year and a half. My review is regarding the abysmal customer service of the office. I have had to correct insurance information multiple times, left repeated messages, tried to email, and the only time I have ever had any traction is when I visited the office in person and talked to the the billing person. And now they've jacked it up again and I have to deal with leaving repeated voice mails, trying to email the non-existent email address on their website, and more. I'm tired of being treated like crap by practices that seem to think I have INFINITE time to deal with their clerical errors over and over. Enough is enough! I'm sorry for the one star review--I'd leave zero if it would let me.
EDIT: I have upgraded this review to 3 stars after meeting and talking with the office manager. Once I was able to meet in person my concerns were resolved. It's my hope that the difficulty resolving paperwork and billing will not be so difficult in the future.

If you are given the option to even leave a message at any extension on their office phone (mail boxes are always full) no one will return your call...ever.

I’ve been with them for years and they used to be first rate. I’ve complained to others lately about how bad they had gotten Dr’s and staff. Then I found out I was stage 4 but see me in 3 to 6 mo. Not acceptable so I got a second opinion these Dr’s could not believe how long they had waited. Plus doing nothing for me up to this point. My life is no longer in their hands. Shame on them if they even care.

The doctors are nice enough. The office staff, well that's pathetic. You can never get to speak to them on the phone and they do not return your calls. The doctors orders are not followed through with. It has been about 2 MONTHS, since the doctor ordered a procedure to be done and the office staff still have not gotten it taken care of. I'm completely fed up with them. I will be going to see a different Nephrologist. Please. If you're in need of a Nephrologist don't waste your time here. I plan on reporting this office to the KBML.

My husband has been a patient at Nephrology Associates for several years. No problem until we were told that Dr. Caudill had passed away. Telephone visits were the norm for my husband because he is disabled, and it was easier for him to do. Dr. Caudill always sent a lab order to our home take take to labcorp, to check his kidneys, and my husband would take the order to labcorp, and labcorp would report to the Dr. Caudill's office. The last telehealth visit my husband had, I don't know which doctor it was with, was very rude, and told my husband he could not tell how he was doing if he could not see him. (?) There has never been a physical exam necessary, Only a blood, and urine work up, so that made no sense. I have been trying, and trying to call, and get a prescription that my husband has been taking for a few years refilled, and I get absolutely no response, nothing! This is unprofessional, and inconsiderate, and unethical. Someone needs to look into this. Board of Medical Ethics maybe??
Edit: After writing this post my husband's medication was called in.

I have only been a patient of theirs for a few months. Each doctor I have seen has been kind and seemingly knowledgeable. The problem is that I never see the same doctor and I can never get a hold of anyone at any office. I leave messages and let them know the importance of calling me back. I have received one call back and it ended up being a 30 second call. If your situation is something severe or requires you being able to get in touch with the office at times, you'd be better off going elsewhere. The staff has all been kind during appointment times, but clearly there is a communication problem that needs addressed.

I’ve been a patient for a really long time. The practice has a couple of really great Docs. Babar being one. The others have treated me with less than appropriate attention. I have been in the hospital 2 times in the last year. Entered over the weekend. The person caring for hospitalized patients see me until they rotate off Monday morning. Both times no one saw me Monday through Wednesday. My kidney function both times on my transplant was very compromised. They have now ordered labs by someone of their choice and not mine. The labs drawn or ordered have never been correct. Even if I call to correct the problem the office blows me off. I have had kidney disease since I was born. I am a transplant recipient. I am also a nurse of 40 years. If I am having problems that I can not resolve, I hate to know how a lay person can even managed the problems. I need competent and timely care. I’m finally ready to find some one who will help and communicate with me. It’s my job to care for the living donors kidney to the best of my ability. With them - I’m not doing my job.

I have been a patient of theirs for over two years with chronic kidney disease. I can hardly ever get someone to answer their phones, they have six options and no one answers any of them. I finally got an answer two days ago after several weeks of calling. I was assured that I would get a call back that same day. NOPE!

Horrible place, count on sitting in the waiting area at least an hour, been going to this place almost two years , no one has done anything for me, all they do is blood work look at the results send you home. I have never seen the same Dr, good luck at getting these people to answer the phone. I have left this practice and was referred to another physician.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was referred by my primary care for excessive thirst and urination. The doctor that I saw couldn't even tell me his name and bounced around in the exam room like he was crazy and kept going in and out. I waited almost and hour and a half in the exam room to even be seen.
Finally after him going in and out a 100 times he came back with a lab order and told me "If this is normal it's probably a psychological thing"
I've been waiting 3 weeks for the one test to come back and everytime I call they won't answer the phone.
They called with my blood work and the lady on the phone said "Just don't drink anymore then what you are and just stop drinking so much and we will see you in 3 months"
Would not recommend especially if it's urgent.

Overbooked, non professionals. You can hear every conversation in the full waiting room of every person coming and checking out. As well as every phone conversation by the receptionist (giving medical advise).
We arrived early for a 3:30 appointment and the waiting room was full. Some had already been waiting an hour past their appointment.

I have been a patient here for years and as of the past 5 months I have had a terrible time getting anyone in the office to answer the phones or call me back, I have complained at appts and they just say they are under staffed. My medical treatment is imperative for me to live. I will be looking for a new Nephrologist.
