We had a great experience with Southside! They did amazing work and were great with communication. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Jeremy and his team did a fantastic job on our patio from pre work to finish! The workers showed up on time and respected our property. They worked hard from start to finish every day. Jeremy and Chris were on site daily ensuring clear communications on project status and to make sure we were happy with the way our patio was shaping up. The transformation was amazing! Well worth your time and money if you are in need of a patio or deck upgrade!

I’ve been in the DMV area for going on two years. This company is BY FAR the best to have delivered on what they promised. Normally, I’ve become accustomed to seeing price inflation after final price agreement. However, not only did I receive great service at an excellent price, but the supervisors checked in regularly to ensure I was satisfied with the work of their team!!! If there was a higher rating than A+….. I’d give it without hesitation!

Southside did an amazing job. They designed and built an 8x10 screened -in porch to replace my old one. Jeremy the owner and his manager Chris are very competent. They had ideas and suggestions that made the porch even better in both construction and appearance. I highly recommend them.

I recently had a fantastic experience with my Southside Specialties, who built a 1000 square foot Trex deck for my home. From the start, they were professional and attentive, offering great design suggestions and helping me choose the best materials. The construction process was smooth and efficient, with the team maintaining a clean worksite and demonstrating excellent craftsmanship. Southside did a small project for us which consisted of re-doing our flagstone front stoop which was in need of a makeover. All projects have their challenges and this one was no exception. The difference is who is going to be steadfast in delivering for the client? First, Southside is fortunate to have quality people doing the work and interacting with the client. Chris (Ops Manager) was determined to make sure our experience was a good one. He was responsive to all of my requests and was a pleasure to work with. He knows that its all about the client! Promises only go so far. Chris delivers. And then delivers more! As for the crew, they are master craftsmen. Rene and Jose are highy skilled, personable and great reps as the face of Southside! Having worked on billion dollar infrastructure projects, highly skilled craftsmen are tough to find. Rene and Jose are a treasure of skill, positive attitude and pleasing the client! Southside is good! Their people on the front line like Chris, Rene and Jose are exceptional.

High quality work, great customer service, and prompt communication. Couldn't be happier with our project and will definitely use their services in the future.

What a wonderful experience. We found South Side Specialties through an advertisement, so didn't know what to expect, but from the first appointment Jeremy was impressive. The planning, communication and attention to detail was wonderful and the finished product is spectacular. We had a very complicated project and are most grateful for their communication and problem solving when unforeseen issues arose. Jose, our foreman, was exceptionally skilled and thorough. We strongly recommend them and will absolutely hire them for additional projects in the future!

I'm glad I chose South Side Specialties to do our small patio. The end result looks really nice and completely suits our needs for years to come. Although the project didn't go as smoothly as we all would've liked, South Side Specialties was always very pleasant and responsive and didn't leave until we were 100% satisfied. I know if we ever have any needs in the future, this is a company I can rely on. At the beginning of the project, we had a hard time visualizing the different options for our space. Luckily South Side Specialties helped show us different options through 3D design. If it wasn't for the design and being able to see the options, I don't think we would have been as happy with the end result. This was an extra service but totally worth it for us. The design team was creative and worked with us to fine-tune exactly what we wanted. The project itself was straightforward. Unfortunately, the team messed up the slope and water was pooling on the patio. This was frustrating and stressful for us but we all have to remember that no company or person is flawless. South Side Specialties owned up to the mistake and re-did the patio. The commitment to excellence even after the project was completed is very telling of an outstanding company that stands by its work and does the right thing.

Jeremy responded to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. The employees are so respectful, always on time and they worked hard to complete the task. The project was completed in a timely manner and I couldn’t be any happier. We will rehire to complete the second part of our project. Will post pictures soon. Update: Almost a year later, Jeremy and his company helped us in an emergency situation. Without any prior notice, the electrical company showed up digging in my yard with the intent to remove part of the patio to repair an electrical line. I contacted Jeremy about this emergency and he quickly showed up and properly took control of this situation. I’m so glad that even in my panicked state I thought clearly enough to call him because it honestly saved us so much possible damage and he properly removed and replaced all the pavers. Our patio looks as if nothing ever happened and now I have peace of mind that the patio is still properly installed and ready for when I’m able to install the deck. This is an amazing company.

Update: I have had three projects with Southside and the experience for all can be summarized in one word - Excellent!! The latest was a walkway to access our rear patio (Southside project from a year ago) to accommodate my wife who is now wheelchair bound. Not only was the walkway done on time, within budget and beautiful, but they made it slope gradually so my wife would not have to deal with a ramp at the end. Prior review: It has been a pleasure dealing with South Side before, during and after the installation of our new walkway and patio. Jeremy is very friendly and professional. Everyone else we had contact with from the company was courteous and responsive. The work results were outstanding, and we are very pleased with the finished products. I did not hesitate to give South Side five stars.

South Side created a beautiful stone wall that sets off a large parking area on our property. Jeremy suggested incorporating lighting into the structure and I love having that area lit up starting at dusk and throughout the night. The guys on the work team were professional, the job site was always left in good order and Jeremy really is out to please his clientele! I give them a great rating because they deserve it.

South Side Specialties designed an awesome deck with excellently detailed landscaping. I’m still amazed at their attention to detail and how well they think outside the box with unique features for a backyard haven.

Wonderful working with Jeremy and his crew! Our project exceeded expectation from the 3D model, to the professional grade materials he used. Jeremy made our dream backyard grill, fire pit project come to life. More pictures are coming…

We were absolutely delighted with the work done by South Side Specialities! They placed a lovely stone walkway and built a unique tiered stone border around the garden in the front of our house. Jeremy was wonderful to work with and made great suggestions for the excellent crew to execute. I highly recommend South Side!

Jeremy, Renee, and the entire crew were fantastic! They stuck to the schedule they promised, the price they quoted, and even threw in a couple items (like a lawn sprinkler) at no charge. Renee was tremendously friendly and addressed every question I had. Also, the crew cleaned everything up so that the property looked good as new!
