The first time I came to Kyoto my hotel was nearby and I found cacio&stars by chance. Never I thought this restaurant would become my favorite place in town . The food is of a very high quality and delicious ( in the authentic Italian way and not reinterpreted in the Japanese style ), atmosphere is magic in all seasons : spring/ summer nights on the veranda and autumn/ winter ones indoor , by the fire with a nice glass of red wine. I also love the efforts put in the details ( Murano water glasses , white crisp table cloth, gorgeous lamp shades …. … ) and the friendly, cheerful welcoming of the stuff , the owner and his lovely dog . Cannot miss this place if u come to Kyoto …. I stop here now … and finish eating my delicious pistachio ice cream ( pistachio from Bronte …) goodness what bliss!

Very much recommended!! A fantastic experience in Kyoto with one of the best Italian cuisine options our group ever had. Our waitress, Tora, was extremely kind and helpful in explaining all of their dishes and the history of the place. We are looking forward to going again. Excellency in fine-dining. We were promised the best Italian food and Tiramisu in town, and they delivered!

京都観光の最終日に素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。ありがとうございました。 まず、食事のクオリティの高さに驚きました。どの料理も素材の味を生かした上品な味付けでした。 サービスに関しても、スタッフの方々の笑顔と丁寧な対応が印象的でした。トラブルにも迅速かつ丁寧に対応していただき、安心して食事を楽しむことができました。 海外のような雰囲気もとても良く、リラックスした時間を過ごすことができました。 また、ペット同伴可という点も大きな魅力です。愛犬と一緒に食事を楽しめるお店は多くないので、大変ありがたかったです。 また京都に来た際に再訪させて頂きます。ありがとうございました！

We had the pleasure of dining here not once, but twice during our visit, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. The Italian food is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was crafted with care, bursting with authentic flavors that reminded us of the excellent restaurants we've enjoyed in Italy. From the rich pastas to the savory pizzas, every bite was a delightful escape from our culinary journey through Japan. The service was equally impressive; the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and attended to. Their recommendations were spot on, adding to our overall enjoyment of the meal. ランチメニューをいただきました。全ておいしくて感動しました。店員さんの心配りも良く、また来たいです。

日本の従業員もいるので日本の方でも安心！

最初にお水が出てきだが、料金がかかるとは一言も言っていないにも関わらず、お会計に向かうと1000円近くかかっていた。 さらに、ワンオーダードリンク制で、ドリンクも注文しなければならなかった。 パスタを2種類注文しだが、一つは冷えていてネチネチとしたパスタが出てきた。もう一つはインスタント麺のような素麺のような柔くてプツプツしており、正直言って不味いとしか言いようがなかった。このパスタで１つ4000円とは驚きとしか言いようがない。お店は本場のイタリアの味を自慢にしているようだが、実際にイタリアに行った私から見て、このような低クオリティのイタリアンに遭遇したことがない。 最終的には、この内容でお会計が2名で11,000円以上もかかっており、詐欺同然である。これまで行ったお店の中でも史上最悪であり、絶対にお勧めできないお店である。 もう2度と行くことはない。

We found this little spot just randomly while walking around that part of town one afternoon in Kyoto. We decided to make a reservation for that same evening. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the owner when we arrived. The owner sat us at our table and took a generous amount of time talking to us and sharing his philosophy about the restaurant, the food, and how all the ingredients are sourced either by specific farmers in Japan or imported from Italy. The food and wine were all great. The atmosphere was super cozy, with a real wood burning stove, a glass wall that you can see through into the kitchen, and some really nice pieces of art throughout. I will come back again next time I’m in Kyoto.

Fuimos escapando de la comida japonesa y tomando en cuenta las reseñas. La comida no me resultó nada especial para los precios que tienen. Ademas para reservar piden una tarjeta y un consumo minimo. Lo unico que me gusto fue el postre.

レストランは本当に最高レベル！サービス、料理、デザイン、全てが素晴らしい！ワイン、パスタは信じられないほど美味しかった！そしてティラミスはすごく美味しいです！心からおすすめ！

It wasn't a great experience. We chose this place to take a break from Japanese food. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly good either. The appetizer arrived after the main courses, and the pasta was overcooked. On the other hand, the tiramisu for dessert was good. Overall, I would say it's extremely overpriced and has a poor price-to-quality ratio. We paid 7250yen per person (nearly 50 euros) for an appetizer and two pasta dishes without ordering wine. Definitely not worth it.
