This place is phenomenal! My daughter found this little gem while wondering the streets and we were so happy she did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and beautiful hospitality. Ralph’s service was outstanding. It truely sealed the experience for us. Every dish for the 3 of us was an absolute delight to experience but the service is what can bring the night or encounter into a rememberable one worth sharing or take away from the exceptional dinner the chef has gifted onto us. Ralph delivered me the best Martini I have ever had in my life! The Truffle Martini was so well balanced and was truely out of this world. It was a stand out that matched the quality of dishes we were being served. The complementary canapés set the tone for the evening and were a welcomed gift. The eggplant parmigiana and all our pastas were unforgettable. My daughters said the deserts were equally as delicious. Our evening finished with Ralph giving us cookies made personally by him. The hazelnut biscuits were something else! Let’s not forget Tora (apologies if I have misspelt) who also welcomed us in and added to this memorable evening. She brought out her homemade limoncello which I can again say was the best I have had! We have experienced lots of fine food on the last 4 weeks in Japan and I can honestly say this overall experience has been our favourite. I wish we found this establishment earlier in our 2 weeks in Kyoto.

This restaurant exceeded any expectations we had. The service was some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with lovely staff who make sure you have an unforgettable experience. The food was uniquely crafted and was so good, you could taste how much effort and skill was dedicated to your meal. Would recommend to anyone on Kyoto who’s looking for food you will never forget.

So nice! Owner was lovely. Lived in Japan for 10 years and never had as good Italian food as this one! It’s a must try

Waouh, ce restaurant est juste une pépite. Le service est incroyable et les plats sont juste délicieux. L'ambiance est freutree, la musique est bonne. Je recommande à 100%. Merci, merci, merci!!!

We accidentally stumbled across Stars’n Cacio and it was such an amazing find. Masaki and Angel, our waitstaff for the evening, were warm, welcoming and provided impeccable service. The food was excellent and it was a perfect ending for a day spent exploring. The cherry on top was Gaia, the cutest dog ever. For those who don’t particularly like dogs, she only came when you called her name and only slept in her chair.

Excellent food and service

boyfriend and i had our last dinner here in kyoto and it was a great experience!! food was very good but service was even better. we were served by ralph and masaki.. 10/10 service! we had the prosciutto tortellini and wagyu beef lasagna. personally i would recommend the tortellini! if you’re looking for fine italian dining then this is definitely the place to go. :)

Food and vibe was 9/10 But the waiters Ralph and Masaki gave us the best 10/10 dining experience ever. They even gave us complementary tiramisù

The first time I came to Kyoto my hotel was nearby and I found cacio&stars by chance. Never I thought this restaurant would become my favorite place in town . The food is of a very high quality and delicious ( in the authentic Italian way and not reinterpreted in the Japanese style ), atmosphere is magic in all seasons : spring/ summer nights on the veranda and autumn/ winter ones indoor , by the fire with a nice glass of red wine. I also love the efforts put in the details ( Murano water glasses , white crisp table cloth, gorgeous lamp shades …. … ) and the friendly, cheerful welcoming of the stuff , the owner and his lovely dog . Cannot miss this place if u come to Kyoto …. I stop here now … and finish eating my delicious pistachio ice cream ( pistachio from Bronte …) goodness what bliss!

Such a special birthday experience! All of the food we ordered was incredible & our server was friendly & knowledgeable about every entree. We will be coming back when we return to Kyoto. Thank you so much.

Very much recommended!! A fantastic experience in Kyoto with one of the best Italian cuisine options our group ever had. Our waitress, Tora, was extremely kind and helpful in explaining all of their dishes and the history of the place. We are looking forward to going again. Excellency in fine-dining. We were promised the best Italian food and Tiramisu in town, and they delivered!

京都観光の最終日に素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。ありがとうございました。 まず、食事のクオリティの高さに驚きました。どの料理も素材の味を生かした上品な味付けでした。 サービスに関しても、スタッフの方々の笑顔と丁寧な対応が印象的でした。トラブルにも迅速かつ丁寧に対応していただき、安心して食事を楽しむことができました。 海外のような雰囲気もとても良く、リラックスした時間を過ごすことができました。 また、ペット同伴可という点も大きな魅力です。愛犬と一緒に食事を楽しめるお店は多くないので、大変ありがたかったです。 また京都に来た際に再訪させて頂きます。ありがとうございました！
