Yvette personally cared for us, giving us an astonishing experience. Horses are fabulous, well kept and totally a joy to ride. The farm is gorgeous, a whole bunch of employees and locals got involved to plan our every day activities and to surpuse us with ideas an opportunities. They helped us travel in the region, accompany us and gave us great recommendations.

An Unforgettable Stay at Santa Rita Finca (Steel Horse Colombia) My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of spending a few magical days at Santa Rita Finca, also known as Steel Horse Colombia, in the heart of Filandia. From the moment we arrived, Yvette’s warm and professional hospitality made us feel completely at home. Her excellent communication and seamless organization ensured our stay was stress-free and filled with adventure. Yvette went above and beyond to arrange everything for us, from an airport pick-up to a reliable driver who took us to explore the local attractions. The highlight of our stay was the daily horseback rides through the breathtaking landscapes of Colombia. These rides were an absolute dream, taking us through lush green hills, peaceful trails, and even to a hidden jungle waterfall where we had the unique experience of swimming amidst the natural beauty. Every meal Yvette prepared was a treat. Using fresh, local ingredients, she delighted us with delicious dishes that were both comforting and full of flavor. The accommodation was spacious, thoughtfully equipped, and perfectly complemented the charm of the finca. Surrounded by vibrant flowers and serene views, the finca is a tranquil haven that exudes beauty and relaxation. Filandia itself is a gem—a lively, colorful village with a welcoming vibe, great cafes, and excellent restaurants. Its charm perfectly complemented our peaceful retreat at the finca. Our experience at Steel Horse Colombia was nothing short of extraordinary. Yvette’s passion, attention to detail, and genuine care for her guests make this place truly special. Wir waren zum 3-stündigen reitausflug auf der farm. Die Farm ist wunderschön und in einer traumhaften Umgebung. Der ausritt war toll, wir waren auch an einem verlassenen wasserfall und konnten baden. Die Pferde sind sehr brav und auch super für anfänger geeignet. Wirklich tolles erlebnis!

Spent the morning riding with my family and had a wonderful time. It was the highlight of our entire trip to Colombia and wish we had stayed there’. Yvette was a very careful and attentive guide and very knowledgeable. Our horses were very well cared for and safe for any level of riders. We are already looking to come back for a longer stay. We heard about Steel Horse Colombia years ago and always planned on visiting. And we're so glad we did - what an awesome weekend! We went out with two guides and spent the entire day chasing trails through mountains and rivers. Some of the downhills through slushy mud were mad, but the entire experience was incredible and we loved every minute of it. And galloping through pastures, when you get the rhythm and are in sync with your horse... There's no better feeling! If you're this way, definitely stay at the farm and try a day out with these stunning horses! They're super well looked after, the farm is brilliant and so are the people 🥰 Thank you Steel Horse Colombia, we had an amazing time and will definitely be back! ❤️

We had the absolute best 4 days riding at Steel Horse with Yvette. Her horses are so amazing and happy, so well looked after and loved which was our top priority. We had a wonderful time exploring parts of Filandia we simply would never have otherwise seen and every host and guide welcomed us with warm hospitality. Steel horse itself is such a peaceful, beautiful place to be and Yvette works so hard to make sure everyone is brilliantly looked after. We were two experienced riders and Yvette made sure the rides were interesting, challenging, varied and gorgeous. Shout out to Pinto and Sky- our amazing horses who took great care of us. We can’t wait to come back and ride again!

We had a fantastic 2 hour sunset ride! The horses are so well cared for and suited to all experience levels. The views were incredible - I would highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a fun evening activity!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Yvette for 10 days with a 5 day horse trek through the mountains staying in Fincas. The house itself is beautiful and the rooms so comfy, the horses are really well cared for and everyone so friendly. The 5 day ride was incredible, staying with local families we had a real taste for finca life and a great base from which to explore further into the mountains. Everyone we stayed with was so welcoming and kind. The riding is suitable for beginners as the horses are steady and you can go your own pace. It’s also fun for people with more experience as the terrain is diverse and go faster where you like. We would highly recommend either a short or long trip here. Thanks Yvette and Hugo for the best time!

Nous y sommes allées pour une balade à cheval de 3h avec baignade dans une cascade privée. Prix total 250 000 COP par personne. Le ranch est très beau , la dame nous a très bien accueillie avec eau/café, les chevaux sont bien traités, la balade est sympa au milieu des fincas et autres plantations mais principalement sur du béton au soleil. La partie cascade était rafraîchissante . MAIS nous sommes déçues de l'encadrement par deux hommes . Il n y a aucune préparation des chevaux comme décrit sur le site , aucune introduction ni explication avant de monter à cheval ( alors qu'il y avait 2 débutantes et qu'on traverse des routes avec du trafic ) , les guides ne nous ont que très peu parlé ni même expliqué les choses qu'on voyait sur le chemin (vue, plantations, oiseaux) , ils étaient constamment sur leurs téléphones ou en entrain de fumer alors que nous parlons espagnol. Les chevaux sont certes gentils mais as adaptés pour des débutants (balade principalement au trot , à se demander s'ils voulaient pas en terminer au plus vite). Cascade sympa mais le guide dans la limite de l'acceptable a nous regarder nous changer au lieu de se retourner. En bref ce ranch a un grand potentiel mais on a l'impression qu'ils n en veulent qu'à l'argent des touristes et qu'ils n'ont pas de plaisir à partager. On en a clairement pas eu pour les 250 000 .

Had a great experience with everyone at Steel Horse! They were very accommodating with everything and my young kids enjoyed their first horse riding experience. Super friendly and the horses were very calm, highly recommend :) thank you again!

Fantastic experience, my fiance and I visited for a morning ride whilst staying in Filandia town. Being complete beginners we were slightly apprehensive but Yvette took us through all of the instructions which, when paired with two extremely gentle and well cared for horses, made the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable. The surrounding scenery was incredible on the ride and we both highly recommend visiting!

Adriana y su esposo son personas muy amables. Hicimos un recorrido a caballo de 2 horas y todo salió mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Ellos siempre estuvieron muy pendientes sobretodo porque era nuestra primera vez montando a caballo. Lo recomiendo muchísimo

We had such a wonderful time at Steel Horse - Doña Adriana and her team looked after us so beautifully and were so kind and welcoming. We went on the 6-hour-long river hack on horseback which was everything we could have hoped for and more. The route was beautiful and the horses are clearly very well loved and looked after. They were as good as gold, even for a novice rider! The room we stayed in was beautiful and the food was delicious (thank you Adriana!). We also quickly fell in love with the place and with the pets - Picasso in particular stole our hearts. Thank you so much Steel Horse, hasta pronto we hope!

From the moment we arrived it was clear to see that Steel Horse was a happy place. Every person we met who worked there was beyond kind and helpful, and really made us feel at ease despite our varying level of experience with horses. The horse ride was perfect - we saw so much of the countryside, and a huge variety of animals. It was obvious that the horses were well cared for - all had a great temperament and were gentle on me as a horse riding novice! The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast, lunch and dinner were all delicious! It was an added bonus that the dogs and cats were also so friendly and happy! We had a truly wonderful time at Steel Horse!

We got a private 2-hour horse riding tour at Steel Horse Colombia. We had no experience with horses, but the horses were great and we got a good introduction, so we got comfortable pretty quickly. The area is very beautiful!

Cannot recommend enough. Every single big and small detail had been so well thought out. The horses were in wonderful condition and are each matched to the rider’s experience. Yvette makes sure the routes are interesting, the views are wonderful, and will have food available if you need dinner afterwards. On my last morning she even got up at 5 to make sure I got off ok. Above and beyond! Note- I did some full days as well as a sunset ride (fireflies included)
