I have done two courses with Sydney Photographic Workshops. I did a private session with Daniel to learn how to use my new camera to its fullest advantage. The session was great. I really appreciated going through how the various settings interacted with each other. I feel really well equipped to go out and make the most of the camera and build my knowledge. No question was too silly and he worked at my pace. I have also just completed the Golden Hour Sunset Photography course on the Sydney Harbour Bridge pylon. This was a very special experience and again, the instructors were so patient and adapted to different skill levels in the class. I would definitely recommend whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced photographer - you will take something away from your SPW workshop.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 8-week beginner's photography course with Daniel! Each session was engaging and packed with useful tips that have improved my understanding of photography. Dan's passion and clear teaching style made complex topics easy to grasp and fun to learn. The weekly evening classes were a perfect way to balance my busy work schedule and became something I genuinely looked forward to. Thanks to Dan, I now feel more confident behind the camera and excited to continue practicing! I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to learn photography in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment—it's a fantastic way to build your skills and confidence! Great course with fantastic tutor Glenn who shares his passion and experience to help make the most of you digital cameras capabilities. This beginners 8 week course filled out the fundamentals and has set me up to start to explore and expand my creativity. I will be doing more at SPW to further develop my photographic skills.

I did the beginners 8 week course, and learned so much. This course is great value, and the lessons are set out so you really get the most out of it, a bit of theory to start off then you get time to practice. John was a fantastic teacher whose passion really showed through, he was always quick to help and showed me how to use my camera. I feel like I got a lot out of the course and have a really good base for using my camera in manual mode. Thanks guys for running such a great course

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Off-Camera Flash workshop at Sydney Photographic Workshops. The course exceeded my expectations! The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations. We had the opportunity to practice with a model, which was invaluable. I'm so excited to continue my photography journey and explore the possibilities of off-camera flash. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to elevate their photography skills! the best! 📸

I recently completed an 8-week photography course with Sydney Photographic Workshops, and it was a fantastic experience! Our tutor, Glenn, was outstanding—his passion for photography was truly inspiring, and his deep knowledge and experience made every session engaging and insightful. He was always patient and willing to answer any questions, ensuring everyone felt supported. Wendy also deserves a special mention for her excellent work behind the scenes. She made sure the class ran smoothly and was always warm and approachable when it came to administrative matters. Over the 8 weeks, I learned so much and gained confidence in my photography skills. The sunrise photo workshop on the Sydney Harbour Bridge was absolutely worth it! Fantastic views, enough time to change subjects and try out the tips from Ben our photographer. Thanks for the great organization. Because I didn't know exactly what to expect: there is no climbing with safety equipment. The ascent is possible via a normal staircase and a short ladder. Then you have a viewing platform with solid ground below you. And it's best to charge your cell phone or take an extra flashlight with you. Because it is still night at the beginning.

The 8-week SPW course was an excellent experience. Our teacher Glenn was extremely knowledgeable, the administration through Wendy was very efficient and the classes were full of practical advice for a novice photographer. It was delivered at a pace that allowed us to practice concepts before moving onto new ones and gain confidence. Many thanks and looking forward to continuing with your courses.

A great experience watching the sunrise over Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. Plenty of space to move around on top of the South East Pylon and enjoy 360 degrees of views including Milsons Point, Balmain, Barangaroo and along the harbour to the sunrise followed by a light breakfast and helpful recap by our lead photographer Mark Lee .
