Ron and his team were great. They were very professional, patient and thorough instructors. Made sure that everyone could understand what they were teaching and why it was important. I highly recommend their courses. Even if you have prior experience, I promise you will come away having learned something new.

Great instruction with some physical activity mixed in. I will definitely be taking another class. I really enjoyed shooting on the move and from cover. Lots of shooting on steel which is always more fun than non-reactive paper.

I was able to take the Handgun Fundamentals with my family recently. It was the first formal instruction I'd received. I learned a lot from Ron and Joe within the four hours. They presented information and instructions clearly and in an easy to understand way. Can't wait to learn more from them :)

Ron and Joe ran a fantastic handgun fundamentals course. They bring a high level of knowledge and experience to the course. There were novice and experienced shooters at the course and the instructors were able to pass along knowledge to both. I highly recommend this course to someone new to handguns or an old pro brushing up on their fundamentals.

Tactical fitness was a great experience for someone like me who has never used a gun before. My instructors Ron and Patrick were very helpful and friendly every step of the way.

I took a Handgun Fundamentals course with Ron and Patrick. I walked in afraid of guns and walked out wanting to own one. I feel much more confident and can't wait until the next course. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I had a private bachelor party event (~15 dudes). Great group of guys instructed us. Absolutely amazing time. Safety, comradery, instruction, and fun were highlights of Tactical Fitness Austin experience. Couldn't have asked for more. Additionally, I highly recommend adding on a machine gun to the experience.

I attended the Urban Carbine 1 all-day course and it was great! There were about 15 participants, ranging from newer to experienced shooters. I'm a fairly experienced shooter myself, and I learned quite a bit. Ron and Shawn are excellent instructors, with a wealth of experience. I didn't feel unsafe at any time, as they took care to set expectations from the onset, and repeat as necessary throughout the course. It's important to pay attention and follow instructions. I appreciated that while they incorporated some humor into the instruction, it was clear that safety was the highest priority. I particularly liked that we learned techniques and movements in stages, and each new stage built upon the last. This linear flow made it easier as we worked through the repetitions, combining the stages into full dynamic movements. I struggled through some of the malfunction correction drills, which opened my eyes to some weaknesses that I need to improve upon and incorporate into my home dry-firing. I had a great time, I learned a lot, and it was well worth the money. I'm looking forward to taking another course in the future.

Ron Grobman is the real deal. Had an incredible experience with Ron on Tavor x95 during a four-day concentrated private training to facilitate my schedule The course consisted of Tavor level one, level two, level three and one day of using Tavor x95 the in close quarter scenarios. He really knows that weapon system inside out, and the advantages of that platform. From 10 yards to 400 yards, very capable rifle system. I wanted to specifically train with someone from IDF experience as I’ve been following the development of the Tavor from Israel over the last 10 plus years. I also did two extra days with him afterwards as well. I wanted to do the Way of the Dot on optimizing using the red dot sight for pistols and urban combat pistol scenarios. The last day we did the ultimate family protector course that was scenario based to protect family members in active shooting scenarios. Training is six hours a day and is all live fire. I stayed at the Sheraton convention said Georgetown as recommended by Tido at the office. Highly Recommend this most productive training experience. Planning on coming back in the fall to spend couple days with Ron on longer distance training with long range platforms.

I traveled from NY to Austin to train with Ron. I have had a fair amount of firearms training, mainly with a pistol, so using a rifle was fairly new to me. I did four six hour trainings over an extended weekend. By the time the weekend was over, I felt more comfortable with my pistol, comfortable with a Tavor rifle, could operate both with the utmost of care and safety, and greater accuracy than previously. Ron is extremely experienced as a soldier and as a firearms instructor. He is always watching - nothing ever gets by him! The curriculum is very well thought out with multiple scenarios and opportunities to experience. I HIGHLY recommend Rob and his school. He is worth flying across the country. I do hope to return soon to do some more training.

Amazing shooting course for bachelor party. Despite all being beginners, Ron was excellent at bringing everyone up to speed on forearm safety and lead a fun and engaging class! 10/10

I took the Urban Carbine Class, and this was my first rifle class ever. As I am a competitive USPSA pistol shooter and have always wanted/needed more training on my AR platform. Safety was excellent and there was simply no compromise on it at all. This in my opinion is the most critical part when training people potentially for the very first-time handling weapons. Ron is a no-nonsense type of instructor and says it as it is. I knew there was a lot for me to learn and improve on. The class highlighted my strengths for me and areas I can focus on going forward for improvement. If you go into the classes with a mindset of listening and learning from your instructors. Then taking what they have given you to make your own. You would love the training. I hope to go back soon for Level 2 class.

This was one of many excellent classes I've attended at TFA. I can now use my carry weapon with a dot MUCH more efficiently and accurately. I highly recommend this and all of the other classes offered. Like TFA always says, Train or Remain the Same!

I had seen content online and read articles from Ron and Tactical Fitness for some time before finding myself in Austin for a work trip. In a last minute effort I reached out to see if it would be possible to get some instruction and trigger time on a Tavor X95. Tido responded quickly and professionally, and a 2 hour private session was set up with owner and lead instructor Ron. Ron is a great teacher! Safety was paramount, as it should always be on the range. He assessed my experience around firearms and made the X95 system approachable and easy to understand. We moved through skills and drills at my pace and I never felt like there was pressure to move on till I was ready. Ron also talked through some pros and cons of the system and we talked about practical vs. less practical upgrades and accessories. Most importantly, we had fun and I learned A LOT. I am already trying to figure out when to come back to Austin not on a work trip and learn more from Ron and Tactical Fitness!

The TF Urban Handgun L1 course was my chosen launchpad into the world of defensive gunfighting and practical combat. The class was well organized, safe, encouraging, challenging, and really really fun. I now know what skills I need to work on and how to self-correct. The instructors were immensely knowledgeable and gave everyone both group instruction and one on one guidance. Lord willing, my Tactical Fitness journey has just begun!
