Favorite Bistro Reviews

I was staying at the Flamingo hotel and this restaurant is in the Linq promenade which is right outside the exit of the hotel. I was craving breakfast and this looked like a great spot to stop at. I was seated at a table with bench like seating which was not comfortable. I went ahead and ordered scrambled eggs, potatoes and white toast. I also requested coffee. I was disappointed in the quality of food and the temperature of the coffee. The coffee was lukewarm, more so after I added creamer to the coffee. I had two cups of coffee and both times, the coffee was not hot. The scrambled eggs were okay. Also, not as hot as scrambled eggs should be. The potatoes were okay. I only ate there that one day and I was disappointed in the food.

Meeting up with a friend who was staying at the Linq. The concierge suggested Favorite Bistro as a place that would be good for conversation and a meal. Boy was he wrong. On the positive side, they honored our reservation despite the fact that it was very crowded at 10 AM. Service was very good throughout the meal - coffee and water refilled without having to ask. My wife and I each ordered the Parisian Omelet with potatoes done crispy ($21) and coffee ($4). The omelet was quite tasty and the potatoes were done the way we asked. So - tasty food and good service - why only 3 stars. First, the noise level was so loud, it made normal conversation difficult. But that wouldn't drop the rating to 3 stars. The charge for parking is $35 for 0 to 24 hours! Breakfast for 2 was $50 plus tax and tip - and that is OK for eating on the strip. But add in $35 to park for 2 hours!!! Now we are talking for almost $100 for a very average breakfast at an informal restaurant. As a local, there are lots of places to eat breakfast on or off the strip where you don't get hit with a $35 parking charge on a weekday morning. I certainly won't be returning to Favorite Bistro.
