Garden Table - Carmel Reviews

Visited this morning and the inside is absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately the food and service didn’t match the atmosphere. The blueberry hotcakes were very good, not traditional pancakes more like cornbread but very good! I’m glad our server pointed out that they were different than the traditional. The Breakfast Sammie on the other hand not great. The whole thing was super greasy and oily. Which some can be expected with the cheese and the bacon on the bottom. But what was problematic was that the eggs were super oily. There is 2 layers of eggs and even in between it was very oily. I left nauseous and with a stomachache. I made a comment to the waitress as a note after we paid and she said it was because of the cheese. Overall service wasn’t great, everything was at a weird pace. But the location is beautiful, and maybe consider not getting anything with eggs or try another spot. Menu isn’t probably the best for kids ( it included eggs and toast or a smaller amount of the blueberry hotcakes).

Super cute restaurant with a lovely heated outdoor patio. I ordered the rigatoni which overall was good but the meatballs were ice cold on the inside and unfortunately the waitress said that it happens frequently. My fiancé ordered the brisket tacos and they were amazing!

Although I prefer the vibe of the downtown location, the food and juices here are equally delicious! I had the smoked salmon hash, which was both filling and flavorful. Don't skip out on the fresh juice flight!

We had dinner from there yesterday. Food was delicious, except for the fruit juice. We have garage parking just behind the restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere. Addition to drown Carmel we needed. Can't wait till summer and patio seating. This place will be jumping! Love the brunch menu, one of the best in down Carmel. Service was outstanding today. Great job!

Wow! Garden Table saved me. Thank you KIRBY! They were able to accommodate a last minute request for a party of 15 on a Saturday. They also made room for the Trucker Hat Bar and our guests loved it. My Espresso martini and quinoa breakfast bowl with salmon were delicious. And, Telly provided excellent service. Thank you again. We’ll be back. 🥂

I have to say that it’s not a too good experience for me. The wait staff was very nice and friendly. But they did not check on us often and forgot our drink orders and had to be reminded a couple times. I had to wait awhile before I could flag them down. The food themselves are meh. I ordered the steak torta and I had to say I was really disappointed. For the price, there was barely any steak in it. The bread itself was too big for the filling it was ridiculous. The taste was just salty and mushy. I was expecting more. The kids pancakes were surprisingly good, even though they don’t look it. Other food taste was just standard. They tasted just like any other chain restaurants—a tad salty, or no taste. All in all, I will not go back. I would rather spend the same amount of money on better food out there. The best thing about this restaurant is their location.

I had lunch here today with a group of 7 women, and we all really enjoyed it! They offered inside or out seating, we chose outside since it’s a beautiful day. They had a lovely table ready for us in a few minutes and were promptly served by Arielle. She gave us all the time we needed to be ready to order and didn’t write one thing down…. All our orders were perfect!! I had the meat quiche which included brisket, it was a good size piece and delicious!! All staff were kind and efficient, especially Arielle!!

The indoor dining was ridiculously loud so it was impossible to carry on a conversation. And it wasn't just the patrons. Even the busing staff was loud in clanking together plates as they cleared the table next to us. The Benedict garden was so difficult to cut that the table shook as my wife attempted it. we also found the staff to be rather surly, as they would barely speak to us and acknowledge our order. We won't go back.

The food was delicious and we love the outdoor patio. The service was good too.

Decided to try the chilaquiles, amazing!! I went with three friends and every plate looked yummy.

My potatoes were undercooked in my breakfast bowl and the food itself was almost totally unseasoned. My hot chocolate was lukewarm when I received it and the air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived. The atmosphere or decor is nice for sure but this restaurant misses the mark.

This place has the most innovative and awesome drink blends.... seriously obsessed! Brunch was wonderful as well and serving was attentive and friendly. Love coming here when I'm visiting the area.

Service is pretty bad. From the hostess to the servers. No one is attentive or seems to care. A lot of wrong orders. If you sit outside, good luck lmao. Food is good though and great location, but it’s like there is literally no manager or owner. Service is just a free for all lol. I will probably never go back unless it’s for work.
