We stayed in the tree house for 2 nights, with our 2 children (11 and 13) and we all loved it. The treehouse is so comfortable, all the facilities you could ever need, very warm and magical. My wife and I spent the evening sitting outside under the heater, whilst the kids watchled a film on the projector. The outside looks stunning in the evening with all the lights on.

The kids loved the zipline and slide and spent ages playing on that. The pool was lovely, we used it both evenings. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.

Oxford itself it just a stones throw away - so you can explore Oxford during the day and relax in the treehouse at night.

Would thoroughly recommend staying here for a magical trip.

Absolutely incredible! 5 stars and highly recommend. I’ve wanted to stay here for quite some time and it was definitely worth the wait. We had the best time on our family visit to celebrate a special birthday. We loved everything - so well thought out and magical. The hosts were fantastic - extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a brilliant overnight stay at the Cedar Hollow Treehouse as a family of five. The facilities are extensive and we really enjoyed the escape room, tennis, zipline, jacuzzi and sauna. We didn't even get round to having time for a swim! We'll have to come back again and enjoy the facilities in the summer. The host, Yaz, was absolutely brilliant and we enjoyed chatting with him and hearing all about The Oaks and future plans. O and we loved the delicious homemade chocolates filled with their own honey. 5* stay and highly recommend!

What a magical experience! We stayed here for one night and we'd love to come back. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and was very responsive when we contacted for help during and before our stay. You know when you meet a person and you can tell they genuinely care about you - Yaz is one of those! Our kids loved all of the C.S Lewis references (especially the door at the back of the wardrobe), the pool and hot tub, the view and the rest of the facilities. We didn't feel the need to leave while we stayed there, and just enjoyed the good quality time together. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Thanks so much and hopefully we'll see you again soon.

What a wonderful and magical luxurious tree house Yaz and his team have created! It only took 1.5hrs from central London with easy travel and an easy find. On arrival using our electronic key my husband and I and our three sons (23, 20 and 16 year olds) arrived and were warmly greeted by the host Yaz and his staff who took the time to show us around the enchanting and creative Cave, and Beavers Den and the beautifully designed and spacious Treehouse and all around the facilities scattered on the property and explained how everything worked in the wonderful treehouse nestled in the beautiful woods.The autumnal light and colours and falling leaves from the beautiful surrounding trees in these woods was really something special. With its magical touches throughout the property, and the many beautiful wood carvings of characters of Narnia, this place is very special making it an enchanting and exciting experience and retreat for young and old! We 5 were very comfortable and we all slept really well and the underfloor heating kept us all warm. Showers were hot, lighting was great inside and out, Apple TV was very useful in the evenings as watched Narnia altogether once again rekindling our boys childhood memories. We did not need to leave the property the whole weekend, as all our needs were met : we were able to cook inside the treehouse and we also used the gas BBQ’s several times throughout the weekend ! There was plenty of cutlery and crockery for us all. We played tennis each day, improving our skills - having great family fun. The boys also played football on the pitch. Each evening we ate our BBQ dinner around the fire pit and after dinner we altogether sat in the hot tub, then dried off in the sauna all very well relaxed. Cedar Hollows at The Oaks is indeed a very special place that would be enjoyed anytime of the year with so much to do and only 10 mins from Oxford university. My family and I made very fond memories which we will always treasure. Thank you Yaz and your team!

The tree house was amazing. Excellent quality and very whimsical.
Built and designed to a high standard, which we very much appreciated.
Felt totally at home with everything you could possibly need.
Enjoyed the hot tub and sauna too.
Everything was immaculately clean and fresh.
Beautiful surroundings.
Hosts are very friendly and helpful.
Not cheap, but with use of the facilities on site, it's value for money.
Will definitely return.

What a unique treehouse experience! With rustic charm and a peaceful woodland location, it was the perfect escape for nature lovers looking to unwind yet close enough to Oxford and its museums! The cozy treehouse blends comfort with nature, and the tranquil setting allowed for total relaxation. The indoor pool was a delightful surprise, providing a great option for when the weather wasn’t ideal. Whether it’s sipping coffee on the deck or enjoying a dip in the pool, this woodland retreat is a hidden gem that we can’t wait to revisit.

We had a beautiful time away at the tree house as a family of 4 before our young children went back to school.
It's in a beautiful woodland with the owner's house opposite on site.
We really enjoyed the tennis court and sitting around the firepit toasting marshmallows. We bought our own firewood and lighters as there is a £15 extra charge for this (which is a great shame having paid so much to stay!)
We were told there was also an additional £100 charge for use of the hot tub but when I emailed to query this we were then told it was included. The bubbles on the tub didn't work properly so the water was warm but not bubbly.
The sauna was lovely, overlooking the woodland, just remember your robes as these aren't provided and it's a walk back to the treehouse.
The pool was in the owners home which wasn't clear upon booking, we only went once as I felt uncomfortable going into their home.

The treehouse was beautifully designed and the children really loved walking through the wardrobe to the zipwire.
Unfortunately kitchen facilities weren't really suitable for cooking in and should really be improved. The fridge was so small we had to lay our milk sideways and it also wasn't very cold. We had to keep our BBQ meat in the freezer and then defrost it on the day we needed it as there wasn't enough space in the tiny fridge for much more than milk. I wish this was clearer upon booking as we would have changed our food plans.
There is just 1 small electric hob ring, again, for a family of 4 this made cooking difficult.
Finally there wasn't any storage space for food, we had to store it in the wine fridge which was switched off as that was the only empty space.
The kitchen facilities were a real disappointment.

In summary, it's a beautiful place but I'm not sure it was worth the money.

My third time coming to this magical location!! Have come with friends and now family and it really does cater for all parties. From tennis to the spa to the bbq to film night on the projector. The most perfect staycation 🫶

This place has everything and more you could possibly ask for from a weekend away. We will definitely be coming again. I can't recommend highly enough.
The cave of illusions is magical and the surrounding gardens and facilities are exemplary and will leave you wanting for nothing but a return visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oaks, and it was an experience I’ll cherish for a long time. The view from the sauna alone is worth the visit—sitting in the warmth while gazing out at the serene woodland was pure bliss. The woodland jacuzzi was another highlight, offering a perfect spot to unwind and relax.

The entire retreat exudes a tranquil vibe, nestled among nature, with every detail thoughtfully designed to promote relaxation and well-being. Whether it was strolling through the peaceful woods or simply enjoying the cozy atmosphere, I felt completely rejuvenated by the end of my stay.

If you’re looking for a place to escape, reconnect with nature, and truly relax, The Oaks is an absolute gem. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

What a magical place!! Beautiful and relaxing environment and the hosts are super friendly. The treehouse is amazing, with several clever magical tricks. We really enjoyed our stay!
