From the moment we arrived for our two night stay with friends, to when we departed, everything was delightful! The staff were all so welcoming and friendly! The accommodation was superb, spotless and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season! We really enjoyed our relaxing stay and will hopefully go back!

Absolutely blown away by this beautiful hotel, the decor is stunning, simply beautiful . The staff are all so accommodating and friendly , going out of there way to help . We stayed in the Cromwell suite and it is fabulous beautifully furnished, smelt amazing and spotlessly clean, a wonderful four poster bed that was very comfy, and then in the morning a very good breakfast, the grounds are beautiful and so well kept. I can't recommend enough and can not wait to return x

Amazing stay at a fabulous location, absolutely loved it Wow, a stunningly beautiful old hall set in magnificent landscaped gardens, fantastic service from all the staff from the moment you arrive until you leave, we stayed in the Cromwell suite and couldn't fault it, it truly was perfection. Spotlessly clean and smelt amazing , the breakfast was lovely and nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend and would score 11 out of 10 from us . Amazing stay thank you old hall .

Our room was very comfortable with a cosy sitting area away from the bedroom which is very useful if you go to bed different times! The Seaber room is decorated with a beautiful china blue theme. The only slight issue was the noise of the road if you’re a light sleeper but saying that, the views were spectacular across to Ely Cathedral.

Glorious Had a party to celebrate my 70th birthday, unfortunately my sister could not make it so we visited her and combined this with a few days here. The hotel is immaculate, inside and out. It has character but also feels contemporary. Our room was large without being intimidating. Good facilities and a bath! The giant bed was very comfortable and we slept well. It was very quiet. We had the grazing boards for dinner which were excellent. Complemented by lovely cocktails. Good choice of breakfast, well presented. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, they were polite, helpful and had a good sense of humour. The grounds are exceptional. The views across the fields to Ely are beautiful. The cathedral stands proudly on the horizon. We would definitely recommend the Old Hall to everyone. Ely itself is very close. Places to visit include the Cathedral (a must), Cromwell's House, the Gaol, Oxburgh Hall is not too far. By the waterside in Ely there is an amazing antiques shop. Well worth a visit. There are many good places to eat in Ely. I have a feeling we will be back.

A hotel that is home from home. Exquisite location. A beautiful and extremely tasteful venue. Absolutely spotless. Nothing too much trouble. Food excellent. I can't believe we found this for a couple of nights stay. We will definitely return and soon.

As only an occasional visitor to top class hotels, on special occasions, I think this is the best. ☺ Food, staff, setting and views are all excellent. The room was spotless and serviced to a very high standard. I would imagine anyone having their wedding here would experience an unforgettable day. Idyllic in every way. ☹ Leaving.

Beautiful location close to Ely ☺ We stayed in November, during the off-season, only about three to four rooms were reserved, making the place exceptionally quiet. Antonina greeted us warmly when we arrived. We were delighted with our beautiful, well-lit room; however, the heater was turned off, so it took a little time to warm up. The grounds were stunning, and the location was convenient, being close to Ely. There were many cozy areas where we could sit to read, chat, or play cards. The bathroom was spacious, featuring a large tub and shower. The bed was very comfortable and came with plenty of pillows to choose from. Overall, the atmosphere was very peaceful. ☹ Dinner options were limited, and we could order a cheese, meat, or vegetable board, none of which we found particularly tasty. For breakfast, I expected more variety for the $20 price, even though they do offer a hot entree menu. We ended up leaving to find something more satisfying to eat.

The hotel provided an excellent place to stay and eat. Could not fault it. ☺ My wife and I had an excellent 2 night break here to visit Ely and Cambridge. The hotel had a suitably old world charm as would be expected of its age but with modern touches that kept it from being "twee". Lots of comfortable seating areas by roaring log fires. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious and the en-suite was huge (not the usual cupboard converted to a shower one often finds). No lack of heating in the room, you will not go cold! The restaurant served good quality food (booking essential) and an excellent breakfast in the morning. The highest praise goes to the staff who were amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. None of the false smiles, people genuinely interested in the conversations they had with you. It truly is a friendly, family owned and run hotel. Thoroughly recommended. ☹ There was really nothing which stood out for criticism.

Wonderful Venue We went with family for Afternoon Tea. The service was impeccable & the food was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at the landscape even though it was a rainy day. It would be lovely to visit in the Spring & Summer months. I would highly recommend.
