Very informative. Had fun tasting. Didn’t know about all the different kinds of local drink. Had a great time! Definitely recommend.

We had a great time learning about makgeolli and making it ourselves! Loved the hands-on experience and the informative history of alcohols in Korea, and left feeling inspired to try making our own makgeolli and trying more sool while we are here. Omar was a fantastic host, friendly and happy to answer all our questions. Would recommend to anyone visiting Seoul!

We loved our makgeolli tasting with Omar! He is an excellent English-language guide — he was very knowledgeable about all the different varieties and brewing techniques. We’d recommend a tour here for anyone who loves the nerdier side of brewing traditional rice drinks.

The tasting at The Sool Company was one of the greatest tastings I've ever made - worldwide! Bona knows so much about the history and production of Makgeolli and Sool in general, which was so interesting to listen to. The products are all carefully selected, which makes a diverse and flavorful tasting! I highly recommend this activity with Bona and The Sool Company :) Can't wait to be back!

The makgeolli class was an amazing experience! Teacher Omar is knowledgeable, friendly, and made learning fun. The hands-on session was well-structured, and the tasting afterwards was delightful—we sampled a variety of makgoli, soju and learned to appreciate the nuances. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a cultural and delicious activity!

Our Magkeolli brewing class was interesting, fun and professional. Omar was great. He taught us a lot about Magkeolli and we got to make our own "baby" that we will cherish. He is very passionate and friendly and seems very knowledgeable about Korean alcohols. I highly recommend his class.

Poor response to email. Tried to inquire about their food menu for the tasting tour and dinner tasting. Email response is not immediate. Hopefully they respond in a timely manner after making reservations. Will update my review later.

Awesome experience with Omar! He gave a very thorough explanation of each taster and the notes we were tasting. We really appreciated the history of each type of Korean drink as well! Highly recommend this so you can walk into other places and know what to order during your time in Korea!

Hicimos el curso de makgeolli con Omar y nos encantó tanto la parte teórica como la práctica. Además realizamos una cata de varias bebidas en las que nos explicó con todo lujo de detalle las particularidades de cada bebida. Nos llevamos de recuerdo nuestro propio makgeolli para probar en unas semanas cuando termine de fermentar 🫶 ¡Muchas gracias Omar!

Omar was fantastic! He was very easygoing and is a great teacher. Hope to take another class the next time we visit.

It is hard putting into words what a wonderful experience I had in the makgeolli class. Not only was Omar knowledgeable, but also super attentive in teaching us each step of making makgeolli. But after that, he guided us through what all the masters have made. I was not planning on drinking so much in the middle of my vacation, but it was difficult not to when every glass I sampled had a story to it. Never again will I think of makgeolli as the rough product I get from convenience stores. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I hope others get to enjoy it at least half as much as me.

Omar was so hospitable and humorous. Thank you to the Sool Company team! I highly recommend. The tasting was also quite the education for me as a Korean American.

Everything was explained clearly and the presentation was informative so it felt like it was super worth it. Omar was our teacher and we had such a memorable time.

We had a great time! My 8-year old loved helping make the makgeolli and the adults loved sampling! We will be back the next time we are in Seoul!!

Inji is just Fantastic!!;This experience was AMAZING !!! So instructive but mostly fun way to learn about the culture and Makgeolli making process. Inji made the experience so much fun. Really recommend learning the Makgeolli brewing process and history.
