I have only given one star as the treatment pre and post my bilateral endothelial transplant (DEMK) in my left eye left a lot to be questioned. I had one operation and then to have an another due to transplant rejection. Even though I had asked for anaesthetic consultant one was not provided. The second time there was an error in my transplant that I found out after I had obtained a second opinion, I was just being asked attend on a fortnightly basis and the contact lense was only removed after I had a second opinion and asked for it to be removed . Please avoid this practice as they are just after your money. There was no duty of care and being honest in my care and diagnosis. The consultant that I had my procedure was with Mr V Savant.

I had cataract surgery at this clinic on Wednesday. Initially unsure of what to expect and whether a specific type of lens would be necessary, I was offered a complimentary consultation with Mr. Vijay Savant. He addressed all my concerns and recommended the best option, whether through the NHS or private surgery. From the moment I entered the clinic to my discharge, I was consistently made to feel comfortable and at ease. The entire staff was exceptional and incredibly friendly. My consultant and surgeon on the day, Mr. Periyasamy Kumar, was exceptional. He noticed my nervousness and spoke to me throughout the surgery, providing much-needed reassurance. Following the surgery, I received a follow-up call from Kate, who addressed my concerns by promptly arranging an appointment with Mr. Kumar to ensure there were no complications. Mr. Kumar took the time to thoroughly examine me and confirm that my recovery within the first 24 hours was remarkably good. I am sincerely grateful to everyone involved and would highly recommend this clinic. I eagerly anticipate my second surgery, should I be eligible for NHS coverage. Received superb care and service from every member of staff I encountered from arriving to discharge. This hospital has outstanding staff and ambience. and I was very much put at ease for my procedure. Thank you to you all especially my consultant, Mr Sampath for your care.

Having had cataract surgery and treatment for wet macular degeneration I would thoroughly recommend the Stoneygate Hospital. From arrival at reception to treatment by Mr Kumar and his team everyone i came into contact with was very professional and friendly.We are lucky to have this facility in Leicester.

Everyone who works at this practice is kind, considerate, and caring, which is exactly what I needed as I was terrified of having cataract surgery in both eyes. There are too many names to mention, but huge thanks goes to Mr. Savant for his knowledge and patience with me. I also want to extend my gratitude to the lovely anesthetist (whose name I can’t remember) for his reassuring me, as without his help I couldn't have managed. Additionally, the theatre team were superb, as was the amazing aftercare provided by Robi and Herj, and the friendly ladies at reception also need a mention too. 😊 So if you need any kind of eye surgery, do not hesitate or go anywhere else as these guys provide a next level of service and care and nothing is too much trouble.

Would highly recommend this clinic. All staff very caring and made me feel calm and safe. Delighted with the result of my lower eyelid surgery. No pain at all. My consultant Mr Sampath is a brilliant surgeon, second to none and consultant anaesthetist Mr Wood absolutely the best. Thankyou to the whole team! You are the best!

Had cataract surgery at this clinic last night. I was put at ease from going in to being discharged. All the staff were amazing and so friendly. My surgeon ( Mr Sampath) was fantastic and knowing I was very nervous he spoke to me all the way through my surgery. A massive heartfelt thank you to everyone. Before visiting stoneygate eye hospital I had seen a plastic surgeon in Edgbaston Birmingham, who said my upper eyelid could be improved with bletharoplasty and mentioned nothing about the brow as that also was an issue and even I could see just a blepharoplasty would only solve half the problem luckily I didn't go through with surgery with this surgeon and realised I needed to find an surgeon that really knows everything about eye area so I looked online for hours and finally decided on seeing Mr raghavan sampath consultant surgeon who in consultation with him explained to me my problem was not only loose skin from upper lid but my brow had descended so we both agreed that best way forward was blepharoplasty and browpexy and Mr sampath did an amazing job making me look fresher younger Mr sampath is a very honest surgeon who will tell you from outset what can be achieved and what is realistic from what he has to work with he is very kind man and all staff at stoneygate hospital are professional and great thank you

A great service from start to finish. Offered an appointment within 48 hours. Removed a foreign body from my eye at the appointment. Treated by a friendly team of people who explained everything. Thoroughly recommend!
