The place: A small place with patio seating and a few tables inside but it's primarily been a place I've gone for an easy takeout lunch. Staff are always warm and helpful. The food: I love the sandwiches from here which are filling and delicious without making me feel a need to take a 2 hour nap. A small cup of soup and a sandwich from here is likely my ideal fall lunch. The Tuscan Kale sandwich is my favorite and something and even just thinking about it makes me want to drive downtown and get one.

There is literally nothing better and more delicious than a panini and soup from Toast. It is not overpriced, but overly delicious. I cannot say enough good things about toast. I go there at least 4

I used to eat here often when we lived in RTP and Toast is a must when we travel back the sandwiches,salids,soups, are always fresh delicious and consistant. Kelli and Billy are amazing owners. Kelli, always gives You amazing service with the sweeties smile and Billy's talent in the kitchen is apparent. Always dine in if You can .

By far, one of my favorite lunch spots. Food reminds me of the little Italian delicatessens in Queens. Serviced is prompt and fast paced, staff is not there to waste time. Order the crostini flights, you will not be disappointed

Everything at Toast is DELICIOUS!! As an industry member myself, I appreciate their changing menu, seasonality, freshness, and originality, all while keeping the prices surprisingly low. These days, it seems like I can't get a good lunch for under $18. At toast, I can get 2 delicious crostinis, a soup, and a drink from $10-$12. Their lentil soup is honestly the best lentil soup I've ever had, their merguez crostinis are a delight, and the service is all I could ever ask for, with my orders always quickly fulfilled and piping hot when I pick them up. This is probably my dream restaurant: limited hours, changing menu, flavor-focused. Nothing fancy-schmancy, just good ol' cookery and deliciousness. LOVE THIS PLACE!

I cannot describe a more perfect lunch spot. The food is amazing, the space is cozy, and the staff are extremely welcoming. Highly recommend the pesto sandwich.
